I was watching a show on wild cats last night and the cheetahs did not have Gerda's beauty/elegance. Her face is so gorgeous, just love seeing her and Messi.
Maybe I'm imagining it but I think I can tell Gerda apart from other cheetahs and Messi from other pumas. And yes, both are particularly beautiful examples of their species.
Absolutely, she's such a gorgeous and elegant big cat, I guess it must be love what keeps Messi and Gerda looking so beautiful ❤️

Wonderful idea we had a hard plastic one for our Huskie so his nails didn't break it he loved it he would sit in and cool down. Lucky Gerda that pool is big enough for whole family to cool down I love it.🐱🐱♥️♥️♥️♥️

Such a sweet girl. She doesn't know what to do with things that she doesn't have experience of. The pool would have to be around for a week probably for her to try it out. She is past kitten stage of wanting to explore everything like they do. If you got in she may Decide to join you. Or not. Still it was a lovely gesture. Besides you said she is impatiently awaiting her Dinner. 😊

She's very affectionate. She doesn't really care about toys but she loves company and cuddles.

To know they have given up most of their own personal life for the two cats, family, friend gatherings, celebrations trips a afar just not possible when you are dedicated and the two cats look up to them daily for care.

Messi is not push or expected to perform . The level of care and enrichment Sasha and Masha provide for their cats is exceptional.
They go out of their way to try and explore new things for the cats. Credit is given to those who try effortless, endless hours put in and money to find out what works, what won't work for the cats. It is all by trial and error. I must take my hats off to them bc they go beyond the call of duty for the two cats and have for their other past animals.

I believe Gerda will eventually try the pool. She hesitated for a couple moments. She’s curious just not enough yet.
not gonna happen, not unless an animal gets trapped inside it. cheetahs don't jump into water unless there's an easy kill to be had, they are fast enough on land to catch pretty much anything they want, they almost never try to enter water

My first thought was , this ain’t gonna happen. Cats don’t do water. Messi is a cat and he swims. I don’t really care either way. I got no cat in this hunt! :)

Big cats in Africa love watering holes - for drinking - but they don't usually swim in them. And the new pool probably smells of plastic, not water. Might take a few day, or more, for Gerda to dive in. Fresh cool water change daily. Meanwhile, hope the heat is not too terrible for you all. Stay safe and well! Much love from Canada.
