Ballroom Hairstyle | How to Create the Perfect Low Ballroom Bun
Hello and welcome back to part 2 of “ballroom hairstyles” The Ballroom Bun!
I received lots of love for the last ballroom hair video which was really encouraging - so hopefully you enjoy this ballroom bun video too.
Today's video is all about how to create a classic low ballroom bun which is a highly sought after ballroom hair look.
I will take you through each step so you can have a go at creating this ballroom bun yourself.

For the ballroom bun begin by backcombing the ponytail to give it fullness.
Work through a section of the ponytail at a time until you have Backcombed the whole ponytail.
Then smooth over the surface making sure the top is really well smooth because obviously, this is going to be the bit of hair that you see through the net.
Using a hairpin secure the net to the base of the ponytail.
And once it is secure separate a small section of hair away from the ponytail which we will be used to wrap around the band to hide it.
Take some hair gel. I am using Silhouette. Saturate the strand of hair with the gel then take your comb and comb through it until it's really smooth.
When you are happy, start wrapping the strand around the hairband and stray in place with Got2b glued hairspray and just keep wrapping and spaying until you have wrapped all the hair and then all your going to do is set it all in place with a hairdryer.
Now take the net and incase the ponytail inside then close the net with a bobby pin on the other side just to make sure that the hair doesn’t fall out whilst you’re trying to roll it into a ballroom bun.
Starting at the end of the ponytail roll the hair underneath itself up and under until you get a nice teardrop shape then carefully holding the ballroom bun secure in place with bobby pins.
Gently ease out the sides of the ballroom bun and roll the edges up and around and secure with a pin and repeat on the other side.
Once you are happy just tease the ballroom bun into shape and secure it with more pins and spray.
And there you have it a classic low ballroom bun. Congratulations!!!!
