This channel aims to give information about the French Foreign Legion. The author - Thomas Gast - knows what he's talking about. He spent seventeen years in the French Foreign Legion. He voluntary talks about his life and his adventures in the FFL and he gives young applicants accurate advices.

Could you do a video about the different companies in 2 REP and the training they get to do?
These last few releases are not of Thomas Gast's usual excellent standards Still gave it a thumbs up, but if you've watched his earlier videos you might agree he told these stories with more passion and interest on the earlier occasions. Perhaps the German language channel is getting big now and deservedly takes more attention. Somehow these last few seem to have been pre-recorded in a job lot and are gradually released to keep this channel ticking along. Thomas is an inspiring guy and some of the old videos ("excellence", "never give up", "for you", "a kick in the butt") have been outstanding - only he could have done it. Hope to see more of those in the new year, Thomas!

Finally down to 230lbs and stabilized it and still losing a little of weight each week. I think I got most the future plotted out for trying to join. Thanks for helping me remember we each got a pig dog inside we just gotta kick it sometimes to get it to move!

Sir can you please make a video about pioneers in the legion and eods and ieds. I know there are 2 regiments but it's a little bit confusing. In which regiment should I go if I want to learn to be a eod man. In which regiment can I learn how to defuse ieds and mines and bombs and in which regiment you do most the operations in overseas. Please it would be very interesting. God bless you.

I am aiming to try out and join the FFL next year. My time in the U.S marines is up and I would love to start a new chapter. I want to practice a little with the requirements of the 10 day process, especially on my math and learn some french before I go. Wish me luck. Semper Fidelis.

Thomas I have a question if you get rejected as candidate for the first time to join the French foreign legion can you come back and try again at any period of time?
hi, is it samrt to join french foreing legion i have been army in 1yr special trained city fighter and its end now, should i keep going on my home county but our country dont have lot of offer to me anymore and its just lot of paper works to go middle east operations and the operations is just sitting in side a base and working under the un. i would like to be army still but its end now. i would like to see world and have other training like 2rep or sniper but i don't know do i want to go like back to rookie time because i am all ready in my country corporal and sry my bad english.
Dear Thomas, the official website of legion etrangere recruitment website is showing now that the contract for 5 years is changed to 2 years and also 1700 recruitment per year to 475 in the year 2022. why such a change and is there any information that? Thank you...

Hello Im 18 years old (19 in march) and i have 6 months left in school till i graduate. I really hate it here, I got bunch of leftovers and my classes is about nothing that intrest me at all. I’ve been wanting to join the legion for a while and im going for it right after school even tho i wanna go now. My question is if its dumb going now when i have so little time left in school or should i just go for it. All i see in my future is the legion and all i think about in class and home is to just pack my things and go. What do should i do?
