  • my goddaughter and a friend were there last week. A rather pushy guy was at the horse's head holding out his mobile phone. The horse turned and grabbed the phone out the guy's hand. The phone was damaged by the time he got it back off the horse.

    • But they are because their tour guides say they are, as do the guide books. They too bonkers to realise that isn't the case. As soon as they get to the gates, they become brainless. The other thing that should be banned are those bloody ruck sacks, they are positively dangerous the they couldn't care less just how many people they have thumped across the face with them.

    • They are not taught good behaviour either at home or at school these days, the stock answer is they would be upset. " tough luck " consists of training them how to behave responsibly and parents have that responsibilty to start that process from a young age. and it does not consist of physical means.

  • What annoys me as much as the total lack of respect and manners, most tourists just seem to assume the guard is their for their convenience and Kodak moment, very few even bother to acknowledge the guard let alone ask if they can do things. A technical note, touching someone without their consent is assault. That’s not being woke, it’s respecting other people.

    • And please tell me why you think most people are disrespectful visiting an area where tourists are openly invited to visit, touch the horses, spend time etc? The signs don't say do not touch the horses, the signs warn of possible injury if you touch the horses and advise not to touch the reigns. But you declare it's the tourists fault! No it is not.

      @jackiepearson5505@jackiepearson55057 ай бұрын

  • This sounds like an old record, but I simply can't bear to watch anymore all those annoying & disrespectful tourists constantly over crowding and touching the Kings Life Guards horses. It's outrageous. I want to scream at them that the Kings Life Guard is not a clown wearing a pretend uniform ... he is a military soldier through & through and is on duty to protect the Kings life - and not there for the unruly and disrespectful tourists entertainment who persistently touch the horses nostrils & mouth and grabbing its' reins. To make matters worse, the tourists are making such a racket by shouting and laughing out loud that could easily unnerve a sensitive horse and spook it. It has happened. I'd like to know exactly what these people find so amusing? They don't know the meaning of the word 'respect'. Kudos to this Guard💂‍♀️ for exercising patience and control 👏 It's high time measures are taken asap to protect the Kings Guards & horses. Perhaps two Police officials could stand on either side of each of the Kings Guard & horse to maintain some sort of orderly fashion (Resources permitting of course!) instead of, with respect, idly standing in a group chatting with each other. Just saying!😊 I do feel better for getting that off my chest!!😉😀

  • No true horseman would subject his or any other horse to this antiquated abuse. A true horseman would read the clear body language of the hihgly sensitive horses correctly and put a stop to this antiquated decorative fancy dress tradition. Theses horses are trained to suppress stress. But that doesn´t mean they are not suffering from this hell that goes against every aspect of the essence of the nature of a horse. Leave the soldering and ´duties´ to the humans who invented that stuff. For a people that claims to be proud of their love for their horses, this antiquated abuse is hypocrasy at the top level. Exactly like abandonning war horses at the battle field polluted with bombs and landmines, left to fend for them selves after the ´Great War ´, because that was cheaper than bringing them back home.

  • Maybe we should start with the tourists books....BEFORE they get to the uk, which explains that these soldiers and horses are on duty, not a side show for thir privilege. A sign that asks them NOT to touch the horses may be a start to stopping this daily charade of bad behaviour. Puts me off of ever visiting their country if this is their normal behaviour??. Mind you......we nust still allow the horses to nip and nudge whoever they want and have a nose in someone's back pack, which entertains US 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂❤❤❤❤❤❤

  • There needs to be a policeman ( or woman ,before anyone starts to froth) STANDING ON the front were they can see what’s happening to the Guards and Horses AT ALL TIMES. Has it is the prefer 3/4 of them swanning about in the court yard chatting to one another and ONLY come to see what’s going on IF they hear the Guards shout.ITS TOO LATE BY THEN. A police presence out near the horse guards AT ALL TIMES.
