  • I was leaving a bar the other night and a cougar approached me in the parking lot. I'm 58 years old. Thank God my youthful energy kicked in and I was able to escape the 80 something year old woman with little or no damage to my person.

  • A friend of mine was being stalked by a cougar while splitboarding. Luckily, he was able to get down the mountain. He was thinking if he was on snowshoes he wouldn't have been so lucky.

  • Not all but most of the cougars out there are on skis which makes them easier to spot. Just keep your guard up and stay out of the ski bars to increase your chances.

  • I went about a half mile off the road driving through Grand Targhee in December and was attacked by a grizzly bear. See, here's a scratch on my arm. I know it looks like a scratch from a house cat, but that's because it just grazed me. I fought it off with my wallet which had $20k in it, but the bear took it and ran.
