Real life students trying to get a real education. No problem.
at last a campus with smart students, who have no sense of entitlement
The professor is right, the students don’t have time and extra money for all those protest. Unlike ivy league schools where the kids are spoiled.
Vietnam still communist never understand 🤣
@@PEACEKEEPER-mm3jsbut free country, do you even know what freedom and independence means

The idea people who protest are spoiled is a sad outlook on life. Protest is a foundation of US culture. I question those who oppose students exercising free speech even understand what protest is.
@@majorlazor5058 they are spoiled. I was working during college not living on campus, taking the city bus to school with no car and had no time for protesting. Imagine the privilege of these damn students to just be able to protest at will for days on end without a care for anything else...so check your damn PRIVILEGE.
because the people of bakersfield have common sense
Indeed!
"This is largely a blue-collar school where students are more concerned with getting their degrees and getting on with their lives." Sounds like entitled Ivy League brats-for-Jihad could learn a thing or two from CSU Bakersfield.
If they wanted to learn something they could 🤷
what a weird report and made is sound as if the reporter regrets not having the protests. Do you WANT the protests? You should be celebrating that you have a student body that is mature and has clear understanding of why they are in school.
Bingo. Bakersfield is not part of the cult. The protests are not organic. They are arranged by agitators. The news people are propagandists. Did they try to find a pro israel supporter?
Of course they wanted the protest. It distracted you from climate garbage 🗑
Looks to me like he is trying to stir some up.
That went thru my mind during the report. As the old adage goes, sometimes it’s best to let sleeping dogs lay.
All is quiet at UNLV here in Las Vegas too. Maybe it's because the Islamic population here all have jobs😆
Lonely, helpless, and hopeless describes the hostages' captivity and not this single protester.
The protestors never mention the hostages because they literally do not want the hostages released. The Religion of Peace preaches violent intolerance that justifies the taking of civilian hostages, including a nine month old baby.
It's been confirmed that a lot of these protesters come from very wealthy families, are outside agitators or just want to be part of the protests. Average people don't have time for that nonsense. They work, study.
Really
People with a brain, use it, workers work. You do what you do best.
I think it’s less about students coming from wealthy homes and more about CSUB being a small commuter school. Also, many of the kids who attend CSUB are first generation college students that need to make sure they graduate. They can’t risk being kicked out, because the next university is 2 hours away.. unlike Columbia that has other colleges walking distances from theirs. And I notice the culture of Bakersfield in general is very uninteresting in the outside the US, unless it concerns their family living abroad.
Don't umdermime USA young generations sir.. What they do actually concern with US politics going foward.
Nah. Not nonsense. Not “nonsense.” Not “nonsense”. /
Congrats, CSU, for not giving Jihad a foothold on your campus.
The people are wise .and they know who Gaza is.
No they are not wise. It called for a ceasefire and that supports hamas. They talked about non-existent war crimes. Did not talk about releasing the hostages.

@@72marshflower15 I have been to Bakersfield NUMEROUS times, and by no means is it my preferred destination. At the same time, I respect these students for having far more common sense and maturity than the majority on campuses, and that includes the narcissistic clowns protesting at my own alma mater, Cal Berkeley. 😐
Instead of making this lone mother or whatever that was holding a sign condoning the kidnappings of the invasion of Israel citizens why don’t you ask her about that while she’s standing there promoting the evil of the Palestinians?
Answer: Bakersfield is in the middle of nowhere and the majority of students are children of poor immigrants in their majority. They have much more to loose than anyone else.
How do you know how loose they are? Don't be so judgmental.

Wow. Going to college to attend classes!? What a novel concept!! 😂 It goes to show that these protests are just something rich kids are doing to feel important
So, in other words it's not spoiled rich white-collar students, I get it.
Have you seen them, they aren't all white!
@@karenrobertson4544 I said nothing about skin color, I said white "collar".
The phrase "blue collar, white collar" is more about a person's work than the person in question. Blue Collar, is more physical labor, wether unskilled or of a specific trade. White Collar is a more educated labor, usually centered towards office workers. From secretarial to management. It has nothing to do with the race, color or sex/gender of the person.

The reporter and news team only making this issue worse. These colleges are not for protesting! she is NOT a student either
There's no way that with the economy the way it is, all these are protesting. They must be getting funded.🤷
Fox news reports according to their investigation, source of funding protests are major donaters to Democrat party
It’s clear that we have protesters for hire, on our kids campuses.
I think this student protestor would be more comfortable elsewhere. Only the rich can afford to be stupid.
The illegal occupation of Palestine is the problem

SO TRUE My friend❤
It’s sad people think protest is stupid. If it wasn’t for protest 1/3 of people in Bakersfield would still be living south of the border. Protest is what led to the US opening its borders and amnesty to migrants and refugees.
No, they do not believe it is stupid, nor did they say so. And it is YOU that has this preconceived notion about this student body not acting like those presently in the news. As for the Civil Rights movement, that was begun in the late 50's, which had to do with Black Americans in the southern states. It had very little to do with immigrants at that time. In the southwest, there were individuals and organisations that did their work for the Latin community such as La Raza, and the work of Caesar Chavez in organizing and assisting the migrant farm workers. The few times was those that were semi-militant, such as certain chapters of the Black Panthers. Then, there's the belief that immigration to this country was set by protest, which lets us know that you haven't done a proper research of this subject. Immigration to the US has been long open since its existence was started. These weren't exclusively well heeled, many were of lesser means and with barely the clothes on their backs. From Ellis Island to San Francisco, millions came to this country, not out of protest, but for a need to begin their own story. Regardless of race, creed, religion, or nationality, they wanted to be free, live free, work as they can and want, without the encumberance of others nor to be so. It was enshrined by two documents, the Declaration of Independence and the US Constitution, which includes the Bill of Rights. If you had done your homework you would've figured this out, but since it's evident that you haven't, well I'm not surprised...
We are not having these protests in Florida either. We are a law and order state thanks to our great Governor DeSantis! Besides, there are almost 4000 colleges and universities in the US, these protests/riots are less than 1.5% of all of them.
He should be our President
Bakersfield dont get down like that. Its sunny and hot and people got things to do, thry work.for their money out there, they dont have time for the bullshit
These students have the right to their own opinions, criticising them for not having disruptive and intrusive protests is the nature of the pro Palestinian protests and is indicative of the basic problem with the issue of Israel / Palestine conflict from these protesters point of view. These protesters do not have the right to insist that every one has to agree with then
Amen. The station should drive to la to feed their sick ideology as to what students should be involved with
Bakersfield is a red enclave in California. Most of the students are sons/daughters of oil field workers and most conceal carry.
There's also a lot of farmworkers children and money is something they can't really afford to waste
I am truly stunned that the rest of the world did not stand up and take notice that the students passed a resolution. What is it going to take before the Middle East learns that they have to listen to and obey the students in Bakersfield, California? Shocked, I say, shocked! 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣
The groups funding the protest know to allocate their money to schools with bigger names and more media visibility.
Who are these groups? Where are their funds coming from? Is it George Soros or perhaps Larry Fink from Blackrock?

While i oppose her views, she is at least respectful to the students who are there to learn.
Would the respect stand even if the number of protesters grow
Refreshing and hopeful to see this report.
CSU Bakersfield. Remember that name when it's time to hire an actual worker for your company.
Why do these people think they're making a difference? They aren't. There isn't anyone involved in that war that cares what any of us has to say about it. There isn't anyone involved that is going to change their course of action because of a bunch of annoying teenagers.

Its a luxury that the rich entitled masked clowns and the paid activists have time for.

Wish they could free all those children used in suicide missions by Hamas. Israel freed Hamza Mubatraki age 31 and Azam Juabra age 29, but we know what happened when the Palestine people got to them. Insanity.
I don't remember which specific school, but 50 arrests were made the other day and only 2 were students. Granted, there were many protesters, but the police and school administrators gave the upfront warning, that in one more hour arrests would be made. Most of the students decided to disperse to fight another day.
Now this sounds like a school, you could send your kids too.
Used to visit Bakersfield for work. Great place and people. Very blue collar and working people. Doesn’t surprise me there are no protest. They are also very kind and compassionate. The fact that they don’t protest doesn’t mean that they are unaware of what is happening or don’t have a lot of empathy for the people of children of Gaza and the hostages.
Wow! A normal decent school.
If the students at Bakersfield are like myself when I was in college and do not have the time or money to blow on noisy non-educational activities they will be better off in the long run. Face time, sounding off for the cameras and being involved in anarchy is no replacement for real education.
