As leader of an elite unit, tasked with protecting the imperial family, Zhou Zi Shu (Zhang Zhe Han) was not a man to be taken lightly. A man of great honor, who commanded much respect, he served the royal family with the utmost loyalty and was rewarded accordingly. However charmed his life may have seemed on the outside, in reality, it was not the life Zi Shu desired. Unsettled within himself, Zi Shu ultimately decides to leave his position in order to pursue his own dreams.
Putting the past behind him, Zi Shu is determined to start anew but even the best laid plans can be waylaid by fate. Not long after setting off to see the world, Zi Shu finds himself embroiled in a conspiracy that rocks the martial arts world. At the same time, he meets Wen Ke Xing (Gong Jun), a mysterious martial artist from the Ghost Valley, who is on a quest to avenge his parents’ death. Brought together by fate, the two become fast friends as they share a series of adventures that leads them ever closer to a legendary treasure that is rumored to give its owner ultimate power over the martial arts world.
Entangled in conspiracies and hunting treasure, Zi Shu and Ke Xing find themselves caught up in an adventure so epic, it could alter the course of history forever.
Adapted from the novel, “Faraway Wanders” by Priest, “Word of Honor” is a 2021 adventure fantasy drama directed by Gary Sing and Jones Ma.

I really liked how badass all of them were, especially Gu XIANG 😱😍💪🏼 STILL, though, there were some instances that grated on my nerves when they e.g. were like "don't cry, be a man" or "don't gossip like a woman" or "one day you're gonna be a perfect mother and wife" (said in a way and context as if that was all a woman can be) yeah just little comments like this that don't belong in this day and age, but well you can't have everything 🤷‍♀️😅

    • I read the novel, and the scene when Lao Wen left A Xu after he had learned that A Xu could not live longer than 3 years, he said in the rain that "it's ok because i haven't liked you too much to the point that i cannot live without you." But then he spent the whole night drinking and running. That made me drop my own tears. Obviously, the reality was too much for Wen Kexing and he only tried to deny it by those words. But his heart does not let him escape from reality that easily. He is tortured and must come back and face it, that the only one he has cared so much about is going to die.

  • WKX uses that purple coat at 8:57 because when he left to meet Ye Baiyi he didn't expect he will be able to return and if he died, that will be used to cover his dead body. It is based on a poem basically saying generals go to wars wearing cloaks just in case they won't return and no body will bury his body. Thanks to Xin Y who post this in the comments of the series in youtube :)

  • 山河令的演員位位都頂级靚仔靚女，往往其他劇集忽略二綫三綫角式。這套集大賣之處不但GJ, ZZH，周也，連黑白無常，晋王，連個幾隻鬼都靚仔靚女，蠍王的女殺手真係靚又sexy，演技又好。正個劇仍有進步空間但這些角色人物已令你目不暇給，津津樂道。如果改成電影，more details on each characters仍吸引進場。

    • I am very upset this few weeks. I have ordered some stuff with ZZS pictures to keep as my best memories about this show and about ZZH too. I watched the dramas again and again… luckily Netflix and KZhead did not tie them down. Now GJ life is good, ZZH life is good too only he can’t appear on media and no longer being an actor. Such a bad incident.

    • Yes i love both of these stories. The way they care and protect eachothers soulmates just makes my broken heart swell up and hope for a love like theirs. Both " Word of Honor " and " The Untamed " are so soul catching that you just can't help but watch them over and over. Hell i even bought the mangas of them and read them several times. Though in the mangas they actually get married 🥰
