About us:
In March 2017, Rick and Andrea (confessed Travel Addicts) started a Facebook Group called Travel Addicts as a way to share their travel photos and videos not just with their own respective friend's lists - but with the world. Part of the reason was for bragging rights (I mean, that’s kind of the point of sharing photos, right?), but also to help answer questions to others about the destinations they have visited.
After inviting some of our friends and family, it grew and grew - and as of June 2019, the group has grown to over 200,000 members! One reason for our success, we believe, is that we have done our best to ensure only high-quality photos and videos get shared, all while limiting the use of commercial content.
My wife and I will be be traveling to Italy (Rome, Florence, Venice) and have watched more than 100 KZhead videos. I have to say that Rick and Andrea are the most informative, easy to listen to, and overall valuable videos we have found. Thank you travel addicts. Keep up the good work

Thank you 🙏 let us know how your trip goes!
We are planning our first trip for September 2026… these videos are great.
Thank you so much 😊
Great video with plenty of valuable information. I plan to retire in Italy and have been researching multiple regions from Tuscany, to Abruzzo, to Puglia. Rome will always have my heart, but is cost prohibitive for the long term. Wishing you both all the best!
Thank you so much! Keep us posted on your move to Italy!
Excellent!!!! I've pretty much planned my upcoming honeymoon based off of your videos :) Can you do one for Florence and Venice? Or about what places to eat in those areas? Love you guys!
Great suggestion! Thank you we will work on those 🙏
This was such a helpful video! We leave for Rome tomorrow morning!
Thank you let us know how your trip goes 😃
I keep hearing the term "skip the line" tickets. But aren't all tickets bought online in advance the same thing? Or are there really tickets that are printed " skip the line"? If so, how are they different? I mean don't you still have to wait in line with others who purchased tickets in advance? Thanks!
Hello there, in some areas There are actually dedicated skip the line entrances
Fantastic video! So many good tips. I originally thought to take the train from the airport to city center because other videos claim the taxi drivers might scam you, but at a set rate, I don’t see how they can. Also, do you typically tip for a service : for example the taxi or the waiter? Thanks again! Off to watch your other videos! 👍🏼
Thank you 🙏 usually you do not tip taxis or waiters. You can check our tipping video we covered all the tipping habits in Italy
Thanks for the great tips!! Can you pick us up from civitavecchia cruise port to Rome? I would hire you as my guides with your knowledge of Rome. 👍🏼
Haha we wish we could 😊
@@TravelAddictsLife I totally agree! We are struggling with how to affordably get back and forth from the port and how to see the most important things in just 13 hours!! Thanks for the videos!
Very informative video. Just wanted to check how much does the skip the line tickets would cost in typical as compared to regular ones. Also, is vegetarian food easily available at local restaurants ? How much would a typical meal at a local restaurants costs in Rome ?
Thank you, the skip the lines cost a little more but it depends on the attraction but they are worth it. Vegetarian options are pretty easy to find. The price of meals depends on the type of restaurant and on what you eat and drink
Hey! Quick question- does Italy offer diet or lite Coke? I have to mind my sugar, and cannot drink alcohol. Thank you in advance!
Yes you can find Diet Coke and Coke Zero with no problems
Are the taxi flat rates per person? Example: from the airport would it be $50 Euro for 3 people or $150 euro? Thank you
No the fare is per car
Hi ! I am planning to go back to Rome again in Feb. 2026, do I really need to buy tickets in advance to visit museums/attractions ? To enter the Vatican museum and Coliseum I understand, but other locations should be more or less quiet in February ? Thanks.
Hello there, yes you are right in February you can just buy the Vatican Museums, the Colosseum and maybe the Pantheon in advance.
@@TravelAddictsLife Thank you.
What about the Almalfi coast? Is it worth a day trip?
The Amalfi Coast from Rome is quite far and you will end up spending more time on transfer than on the coast itself.
Thank you for your help! We are visiting Rome, Florence, and Venice with train transport. Do most hotels have set check-in and check-out times? If so, what do we do with our luggage if we arrive before check-in time? Love your videos!
@danaedwards3082 thank you so much 😊 usually they have a deposit to store bags. Let us know how your trip goes
Hi! Is uber also affordable in Rome?
Uber is not very common in Rome
Hello, does that train go from Rome directly back to the airport?
The Leonardo Express goes back and forth from Rome to Fiumicino Airport
@@TravelAddictsLife Thank you for reply:} really enjoy your info traveling over this sept and october.
@carolyniannello7409 thank you 🙏 keep us posted on your trip
Do you need skip the line tickets in November?
For the Vatican museums and the Colosseum you usually do.
Thanks 😊
The best museum in Rome is MUSEO NAZIONALE ROMANO. It is a museum for intelligent people !
Is Rome really busy around 4/13 to 4/20? Thank you!
It starts to get busy around that time
Your video shout outs are not in the video 😢
What do you mean?
In the video, you tell us if we want to hear more, click here, and you point upward. I didn't see anywhere to click where you pointed@@TravelAddictsLife
@@buffytargaryan7171 You should be able to see a little circle with an I in the middle. If you don't you can check in the description and you will see the videos we refer to.

Hello there, thank you for the comment. The difference in price depends on the place you want to go. There are always vegetarian options at restaurants. At a local restaurant in Rome, outside of the touristy area, costs between 25 and 45 euros depends on what you eat and drink
