I have no clue where this trend of having specialists and operators come from, I’ve always preferred the generic solider with no names attached
The character shooter trend started with Overwatch in 2015.

@@thecattermat yep
He already finished it and started bf 7
@@thecattermat” I’ve played the game for around a year now”

When I saw the soldier jump off the mountain I was hoping for Damavand Peak, a man can only dream.
I see.... you are.... older?
Same. They definitely had that in mind. The trailer was full of homages to BF3/BF4.
@@benc640 I agree. Jumping of Damavand in Rush has a place in my memory forever.
@@Criebwyn Seriously, that was always epic no matter how many damn times you played that map haha
@@Criebwyn didn't get any better than that feeling of jumping of with a squad full of mates!
It’s been years since I’ve watched a Jacksfrags video in years man. Battlefield is back!
There is some sort of crossplay? for example a ps5 player can play witch a ps4 player in the smaller maps?
I really hope they listen to this early feedback & revamp things like this specialist system. Players want a true "Battlefield" game, not CoD or a new hero-shooter.
BO2 VIBES THOUGH THIS IS AMAZING
Speak for yourself please. It sounds fresh and awesome.
@@anized6896 Fuck no it’s like they’re trying to be like cod I want them to be themselves
@@anized6896 fresh and awesome doesnt mean cod.
So I'm not the only one having this CoD vibe...
I like the idea about the specialists, however I don’t like the fact it’s tied to an actual person. Slightly immersion breaking seeing 72 boris’ running around 😂 it’s nice to be just ‘another soldier’
I feel like it will be different in the final game, they probably know you cant have 30 of the same person in a game
I think that will change over time, with the customization. So when people change skins etc. (Like BF3, BF4)
Unless they tie certain specialists to the different classes. So if you want to play as Boris, you have to play as an engineer. That would help time down the amount of them in the lobby. Also tie them to the different factions.
yes and each specialist is pretty much just a class. Its pretty much a cut set of classes .. Special Forces, Medic, Engineer and Sniper. I reakon the wing suit is going to the Special Forces guy.
BFV is the only battlefield game where players were unique models. Every other game had dozens of duplicate soldiers running around because each class had the same model.
Do we know if the revive game play will be similar to BFV or perhaps BF4 where you have to be an assault class?
Weapons aren't locked, so imma see a grappling hook sniper 😭😭
And grappling hook AT. Freedom will be awesome. Many fun combinations
IDK about all these gadgets and specialists, might cut into the gameplay when ur getting spammed by turrets and drones, depends how they balance the game
Yeah I think any AI elements will ruin the experience
I honestly think AI might fit the battlefield games well. Obviously that might not be the case and maybe we'll end up with turret spam but I think having lots of AIs inaccurately shooting at and around you might make fire fights more cinematic similarly to the squad mates in enlisted
@@kawaylao2956 I don’t think you need a ton rounds going off to be cinematic, BF1 was extremely organic but still cinematic
Or you know one person has emp grenades and all that silly shit dies.
I mean people kinda spammed the drones in bf4 too but idk bout turrets, i feel like these will be a pain if maps like operation locker or metro are in the game.
Wow. They really named the sneaky recon guy "Casper."
😏 👻
Actually it's they/them jeez gosh
Great!
Wait till the enemy team of 64 players just always uses "Boris" and spams auto turret with target lock system and good luck trying to effectively hold sectors.
@@dinglemccringleberry9019 or 120 on each team. I'm thankful I got a series x
I would love it if this helped set up a remake or reimagining of 2142 down the line.
Whats is the “Cross-Gen bundle” only the gold and ultimate editions get? Ty
Love it all except the specialists. This feels very out of touch for a battlefield game. I hope they at least allow for customization between the specialists so they don’t all look the same in a game of 128 players. Concerned a little because of this about visual team distinctions though.
How though? They're just the same classes (medic, support, engineer, and recon) as BF4. Is it just that they have their own names now? It's infact MORE open than BF4 cause primary weapons aren't locked to class.
Don't worry, by the time they've finished milking the player base with season passes, probably releasing a couple of new operators with each one, there'll likely be 128 different operators you can choose to play as.
@@J_Harris99 I get what you are saying, but for me I liked the split guns, it forced you to make decisions on how you played. Now you can just be a sniper in the distance who keeps reviving other snipers with no consequences.
I wonder if its like Battlefront where you have to build score to choose a specialist? If so it might be fine where it's something you use for a limited time and not something everyone has all the time.
@@zombieguy I can understand that perspective
I just wish we werent named specialists. Ive always liked being a nameless grunt with freedom to customize my soldier but everything else looks good from wut we saw
I do hope we get the option to only use the ability but play as some regular grunt.
Are you complaing about a name? If so just use ur imagination
@@ddvmian He is probably complaining about being forced to play a woman if he wants to play a medic.
Exactly like what is there gonna be 30 of the same character running around on your team? So wack
The specialists are subclasses you dont have to use em.
u can still customize, the operators are basically just classes like the other games except they have a ability
Now that the weapon restrictions are removed, I wonder is it going to retain the same arsenal count as BF4/3 or they gonna shrink it to along the lines of BF5/1
I’m a bit disappointed in the specialist system as I would prefer the classic class system with customization. But I’ll reserve judgment until more of the gameplay is revealed.
i feel the same
Its not really that different from the regular class system.
@@command_unit7792 Its just that everyone will spam the meta gun like in warzone. classes broke that up a little
@@command_unit7792 BFV spoiled me now.
@CxmpJum take premium any day over that.
Not a fan of the specialists system. it removes the feeling of "just being a soldier on a battlefield" vibe...
True
Yeah. Especiall since they showed all of the characters as being disposable like in real warfare. Imagine of the game had bots, that could be a reason for the mass amount of soldiers in the trailer.

My Fav thing about bf5 was the feeling that you were just nameless hero in a sea of confusion. It was so powerful to me. I don’t like the specialist thing
Specialist = skins Skins = $$$

think specialists are explained in the lore by basically being hired guns for proxy warfare
@@andymancan_ so are the non specialist soldiers, yet you'll find tens of a specialist in a Game making it ... not special. Maybe we see how this works in the Gameplay trailer.
I'm pretty sure specialists are the ability and not characters
Not sure how I feel about "Specialist" but the Battlefield 2042 trailer had me hype.
Its basically classes man
I hope they aren’t as obnoxious as the cod ones and more for mobility/scouting
The lack of universal gadgets for a class seems concerning... Like I might no be able to use ammo on every support specialist etc.
Just do assault and don't use the spoderman grapple
@@TheJBaker3318 Sounds pretty dull tbh...
I don't remember when was the last time I waited so much for a game to come out 😍😍😍
I'm cool with specialist if it's like battlefronts hero system. Where there can only be a set number at any given time on a team during a match.
Specialists will only break the immersion and authenticity Battlefield has, BF1's and BF4's class style was perfect. There's no need to change it.
Yup sure is. Like the saying goes "If it isn't broken then don't fix it!" only Cod knows how to break things. We are battlefield fans and should act like. I won't be buying this game.
No battlefield will get close to Bf3 and Bf4. Some may get close, but that's all. This 2024 has some mechanics and settings that aren't necessary in a Bf game.

If you want those games then go play them. Y'all sound like the people in COD who want BO2 and MW clones. Then y'all will complain that its the same crap over and over.
