you should do a damascus blade from all the end pieces you've removed from projects in the past. that would be an interesting blade.
It would be a maad mosaic!
That would be cool I would love to see that
I just said that on another video. I vote for this
How about staples?
On god my brother
Love the time you took over tapping down the materials, great attention to detail there, I'd purchase a Damascus sax from you anyday of the week.
After getting interested in blade making from watching Forged in Fire, it’s interesting to see the different steps you do like the white powder you add to the canister, and how easily you can remove the metal from the canister.
Very impressed by your techniques, and speed! Just amazing work.

And a different knife shape!
@@syfodiaz4936 I think he sells these to clients who expect a uniform shape.
That feel. I made two swords, an Oakeshott XIIIa and XVIIIc (with a shorter blade than "standard"), a tanto, some big curved knives, a pukko, a Scramasax. Till now it took me a gigantous amount of time to craft handles (XVIIIc, pukko and a curved knife still without handle), most handles are still waiting laquer since 2019. More than crafting it is the will that's missing, also i craft those from raw ancient hardwood small logs..., wood on market is trash, it takes a while, plus you need a clean environment for woodworking...in my case my kitchen. I use band saw to cut the logs, then all by hand, everything, too easy to mess up with power tools....

Only just found your channel. GREAT WORK MAN!
You should do a top 3 of your favorite damascus materials. I think the steel toilet scrub had the coolest pattern
i am sending my big thanks and respect for this guy who shared this videos. Thats are secrets of this profession. And he shares them modestly.
Barış Bozkurt as a fellow blacksmith I can tell you that it isn't really a big secret. We love to share what we do.
Very modestly and assuming. He's good at what he does but as non instructive as well.
It's not like most of us have the condition to replicate what he does, anyways
Why does he dunk the "stock" ( what ever you call the piece before heating and forging) into the liquid? Just to prevent oxidation?
he soaks it in kerosene to degrease it and also to decrease metal oxidation during heating process
thank you for all the information on what and why are you doing during this process
Only found your channel recently and I noticed how much large the "valley" is in the jugs you put in the press from this one to the newer ones. It's amazing what time can do to steel.
As always incredible work. Congrats.
I really enjoy your videos. Keep up the good work!
Wonderful piece of work! I wish I had the skills and tools to do that.
I really like the subtle texture on this one!!
Like the magnetic clamp and wheel sander combo.👍
Congratulations! The final effect is really very interesting!
Very beautiful. Your craftsmanship is amazing.
Saw you hand mixing the powders, thought you might like a cool "diy" tip. If you drill a small hole in a jam jar lid, run a bolt through it and secure it with a washer and a nut (so the shank of the bolt is on the "outside" side of the lid), you can attach the lid to a hand drill. Then put the powders in the jar, fasten the lid and let it go for a while to mix the powders. This also works as a rock tumbler and a polisher/cleaner if you use sand or baking soda as the grinding substance. Make sure the drill is variable speed. If you want to use it to tumble rocks, consider gluing felt to the inside of the jar or use a plastic jar to avoid breakage.

Amazing craftsmanship Dmitry.
Yet again perfection and respect for the metal....
Youre videos are the bomb. Keep it up man.
Sounds like a spoon crunching into a bowl of delicious Cheerios in the morning. Looks like a delicious blade to me.
What do you do with these wild idea knives? I’ve seen a bunch of these different material knives made and I was curious. Awesome work.
Just nice to watch thank you dude Know i can sleep 😴
Interesting how this channel developed over time…. No black pepper or chilies in the mix. Stamp positioned by eye on blade with a hammer smack. Blade tucked away as usual for tea, but not enough tea to share with us. We still get our beautiful blade, some may say that’s all we need.
I'm guessing if someone thinks at the beginning of your video that you mixing gun powder with steel shavings, that their day will end poorly.
😂
Natural selection
Victor Zhevno
Cool I love this show, it's one of my favorites!
I love your knives. Great Videos. I look forward to new videos. I’m learning a lot from you on how to be a better blacksmith. Thank you
