Visiting a small Retro Museum located in the countryside of Gifu in Japan
Going there without a vehicle is rather tricky.
We did took public transport though. At Nagoya station we took a JR local train to Gifu station. At Gifu station, we took bus N83 for 38 stops to Shigura. The museum is 5 minutes walk from the bus stop.
Gifu Retro Museum
323 Shigura, Yamagata, Gifu 501-2103, Japan
This is opened on Friday to Monday, 10am to 5pm. Also opens on holidays.
3:40 They actually had one of those in a lounge in my university. Sandwiches, salads, milk, pudding cups - it was a one-stop lunch spot. 17:17 One of the first ever portable TVs, it was marketed as something to take with you camping or to the beach. Just plug it into your car's cigarette lighter, turn it on, and tune in a station. (Assuming you could find one, that is.)
Wow!
Touring Japan visiting as many vending machines as I can is a bucket list kinda thing for me.... it just looks like so much fun.
You should definitely do more retro places in the future ❤

Or in the past
Looks like a wonderful day out, filled with nostalgia, games & food 😊 Can't wait for more videos!
Oh man, just seeing this restaurant reminded me of an old Crayon Shin-chan movie. “The Storm Called: Adult Empire Strikes Back” It really felt like this restaurant is inspired by that exact movie. Oh boy, just remembering that movie made me feel so old…
The relief I felt when you finally figured out the cotton candy machine
7:25 Hearing the insect calls in the background brings back fond memories of visiting Japan.
This is why I love coming to this channel you find the coolest things among other amazing content
I love the old school Coke machines with the glass bottles. Reminds me of my youth.
We still have glass bottles in europe
love seeing old school stuff
Lol I’ve never seen whack a mole in Japanese! 🤗 the burger machine is super cute! ❤ thank you for the fun trip to the retro museum 🥰
10:31 Just in case the jet fighter doesn't ring a bell for you, that says "MiG" at the top in Russian. Interesting choice for a roulette game! Was fun watching you two go berserk on that whack-a-critter game, too!
Having one of those retro burgers is a life goal.
I remember that old coke machine here in the states, old machines are cool
Congratulations for 3m🎉….love ur videos!
Thank you so much!
I miss the vending machines in Japan so so much. This was really fun to see. Too bad I didn't know it was there when I drove through Gifu!
It's like the place where everything great things come from. What a blast from the past! I was filled with nostalgic
Afterburner, and Side by Side 2, where my endless childhood thrills, SEGa, and TAITO, never stopped amazed me with their games. Anyway, no one is going to talk about the tiny Dome Zero, and the Peugeot 205 Rally car?
Extremely good video, I love your travel content. The food reviews are cool but even better when you’re somewhere new trying interesting things. I watch your videos to fall asleep, about 3 years now. Congratulations on your continued KZhead success and have safe travels.
They had a Kamen Rider V3 statue, that automatically gets it points from me! Y'all were having way too much fun playing Whack-A-Mole, it looked like, too! If ever I get a chance, this is another place I'd have to add to my itinerary of places to go to in Japan.
Haha the cotton candy was pure chaos I laughed so hard that would be me as well 😂😂
Thank you for one more awesome video! I love places like this, miss times when i was boy and visiting local arcade room. Now its closed for almost 20 years already...
I love how you always just go right in. You must have guts of steel
Don’t know why…I find it therapeutic to see you guys order food and eat.
I was craving for Japan content without any commentary, thanks for this DancingBacons! You rock!
The machine where you hit the little creatures(wack a mole?) you had me laughing!😂That was fun!💕
What a lovely little place! The burgers looked good, especially the cheese burger 8D
The places you find are fascinating, thanks for bringing us along for the experience.❤❤
This video was so much fun and interesting to watch. Love the food videos and it was a nice change to see something a little different. Thank you!!
Please do more street vendor videos used to love watching 45 minutes to an hour of just 15 different vendors and variety
Love ur channel, it's so relaxing 😑 no talking just visually beautiful and educational ❤
Japan really does do the best vending machines. Thanks, DB, for this one.❤❤👵🏴🌹🌹🌹
This is the third retro vending machine arcade area I've seen on various KZhead channels. All three looked damn cool!! 🤘
new stuff can be very cool!!! but nothing can beat old retro looking stuff 😻
The wack a moles are hilarious 🤣 what a great museum wow! ❤
Your videos make my dead cold heart feel warm and happy. Love your content
I’m more fascinated that these 20-30 yr old machine still works!
This is so cool.. especially because I love retro things! I wanna go there 😢
Beautiful views, and you just made me hungry. 😋
Oh man! I may not live there but seeing some of those vending machines remind me of a time when I was young and being able to get a soda pop from an old school vending machine like that with my family. It was amazing!
That place looked like so much fun!!
This channel is always my favorite.
ugh i absolutely LOVE YOUR VIDEOS I NEVER MISS A SINGLE ONE
After Burner is a good old SEGA game from the 80s. Came out the year after Top Gun if I am correct. I remember playing it back then. I recognized the game from the screen before I saw the game title. Odd how some things just come right to mind, even after 30+ years.
That is a really cool place with a lot of neat machines. Loved the classic video games too.
this might be the coolest place on the planet. it resonates with me in a way I truly cannot explain. something to do with a past life I'm sure
This is so cool and I love that they still work 🤗
What a fun video. I admire your sense of adventure and confidence. I would be too shy to make my own cotton candy or try some of the foods you eat. Miss Bacon's smile is so charming.
Congratulations on getting 3 million subscribers. Hope you continue to get 4 million subscribers
This is yalls first video that I haven't cubed with 🤣🤣🤣🤣 and I've been watching a long time so, that's still good

Great little place you found! I could see coming here just to get the packaging to bring home as souvenirs. Please visit more retro places when you find them!
That seems like my kind of museum! ❤ Looks like the perfect way to spend an afternoon.

The old Coke machine ❤️ I really like your Channel, you are willing to try everything, long life to your Channel!
That Afterburner game brings back memories. We had one at a local 7-11. I spent so many afternoons (and quarters) after school playing it with my friends. Such a cool game.
Same here. The Hang-On motorcycle game too.
I just woke up and saw your notification! Excited to watch 😊 work can wait hahs
Today is back in time, the food looked delicious 😋, that cotton candy looked like fun to make 😅. A lot of drinks to choose from 😮. Those playing machines look like fun to play, it takes you back when you played like a kid 😂. This video was very much enjoyable to watch you play 😅.
This is honestly really cool!
Hey! You should for sure go to more claw machine places/arcades like you used to!! Ones with food and snacks would be even better. :)
the Old school or Vintage Style of this place just looks Amazing
This museum looks like my youth lol - I am Gen X where we would spend all day at the arcade
I want that giant Ultraman statue for my brother. He used to run around the neighborhood when he was little and declare to the neighbors, ''I Am UTTAH-MAN! lol. 😄😄 Back in the 70's America played a lot of Japanese shows that were dubbed.
i enjoyed watching that i like old style arcade games and that place would be on list defo if i visit, thank you
Your japanese vending machine and restaurant videos and rambalac's videos make me want to move to japan
Congratulations on 3 MILLION Bro ❤🎉
I really like this channel because they are so wholesome
Love the old-school arcade
Always awesome!!😊
I'm super into vintage stuff (I LOVE vintage and antique stores), so I'd definitely want to check this place out. :) Edit: It was funny to keep hearing the whack-a-mole machine in the background. 😂
That place was awesome. 😀

ssoo i see you also watch other vloggers vlogs ..... as japan traveler was here ........ but great to see different parts that was not covered or cut out for time !
That sound at the wack a mole is in my mind
The Japanese retro vending machines look way cooler than all the actual ones in the future now!
that whack-A-mole looks like a blast !!!
Ohhh nice!!! Back to a place you have been to in a previous video hopefully we see some new stuff instead of the exact same stuff in a previous video about this place
16:37 Always! They taste damn good in chilled glass bottles!!
Congrats for 3 mil! 🥳
I really want the Golden Bat model they have in the back area. It's so cool.
the nixie tubes or VFDs in that burger machine! pure joy!
It wasn’t as clear in this video but I’ve seen others where it’s clear they’re old nixies! And yes, agree, so cool!
And the machines keeps on giving!
You're such a nice food reviewer
I would love to visit a place like this!
This was fun to watch
Awesome Video
Watching him do the cotton candy make me giggle! It can be tricky to get it right!
This was a fun video. 😁
That was fun, thanks!
putting this on my almost endless bucketlist for japan in the future 😭
9:46 Yo, a Super Hang-On arcade machine?! I need to mark this place on my map for itinerary reasons! I ALWAYS wanted to play the Super Hang-On arcade machine! Edit: And After Burner?! Oh this place would be my heaven!
what about Side by Side 2 Evoluzione, one of TAITO's classics too if you are into JDM (Japanese Domestic Market) Car Culture. Also, at the beginning after the Kamen Rider statue, there was a Red Dome Zero P2, and a Peugeot 205 Rally Car 😇😇😇
Dude i wish i could try the food here from the country paraguay, it looks so tasty
That Mr. Burger did not look healthy 🤣. It looks like it has been sitting there from the 90's 😁.
Amazing
