An AMAZING TRANSFORMATION in the CHATEAU Court of Honor - Journey to the Château, Ep. 120
In this week's episode, Patrick and Stuart transform the Chateau Cour d'Honneur (Court of Honor) when they finally are able to acquire a second hand harrow (french: herse) for raking out the weeds to expose the gravel. They also show the recent harvests from their potager (kitchen garden), and get a summer delivery of firewood for future winters.
Join Patrick and Stuart on their journey to find a neglected, forgotten, or crumbling château or castle in France, and then continue to follow them as they work on its restoration, rénovation, decoration, and furnishing. Along the way, they will also create and share videos on their preparation for having gîtes for guests, and an event venue in their chateau (wedding, birthday, anniversary, organization or club meetings, retreats, etc.).

The first thing I do went I get on your video is give it a thumbs up. If I watch a KZheadr faithfully I always do this. Your favorites need this kind of support and it’s so easy. They need a big thank you. Do it ❤
Thank you!! 💕😊
Another great one! You will be able to store those tatters and enjoy them for months (and months!). So much for the haters :-)
My chère Lords!!! Congratulations on the machine to clear the lawn!!! Wonderful result!! The idea for the fountain in the front courtyard, vôtre cour d'honneur, fabulous, do!!!!! And many congratulations on the potager potatoe yield!!!! You proved all critici dead wrong, serves the right!!!
I have two requests, take us canning with you in the kitchen. I love to get tomato canning recipes and number two, can you take us food shopping with you. I would love to see food shopping in France. Oh what fun. I hope you do this I would love it and I’m hoping others would too.
Good ideas. We also have requests to see a trip to our local boulangerie/patisserie as well. We will add these to a list. Thanks!
Watching the tractor going round and round reminded me of watching the Benny Hill show😅
Potatoes and tomatoes are the same family. Obviously what suits one suits the other. Delicious.....
OMG! There are so many know it alls on KZhead. I'm glad you discovered that many really don't have a clue.❤
Ray, I absolutely adore your comment. ❤❤❤
@@patrickjourneytothechateau9452 Someone commented recently to Stephanie Jarvis that she begins all of her vlogs with a weather report. I didn't read the comment, so I don't know if the tone was critical or not, but she felt self-conscious about it after that. The weather recap isn't integral to the vlog, but it's a conversation starter and Stephanie is a generally cheerful person who can make a cloudy day seem just fine. But now she feels awkward and pressured to change her formula to which she has grown accustomed. One "know it all" out of 150K subs was able to throw her off of her game. Until they can do what she does and have in excess of 150K subscribers, I say ignore them. You are doing a disservice to the other 149,999 subs who like you just as you are.
Oh my guys you work so hard, but all that work is really paying off. What a bountiful harvest! Aren’t new potatoes yummy, and nothing tastes as good as a home grown tomato. The courtyard is looking so much better. The fountain is gorgeous. Can’t wait to see that in place. Another great week! You both should be very proud of your efforts. As for the naysayers, there is an expression the Scots say when someone gets too annoying by their know it all attitude - “awa and bile yer heid”. Even if you just think it, it helps! ❤
From a gardener .you will always get knockers at your effort ,great you proved them wrong imagine how many potatoes are down under
I saw a rosemary hedge on another channel and apparently the smell was glorious. I like lavender too. Your totally prepared for 2 winters worth of firewood that’s awesome! Wow! What a harvest of tomatoes, potatoes and the peaches yummy! So wonderful to see how you both have settled into your French Chateau life ❤ P. S and with the Doggies of course 😁
A fountain. How grand. I’m so excited for you. ❤❤🇺🇸🏰🌹
Thank you so much. ❤❤❤
That tractor scene was fun, I was saying “WHAT is Patrick doing?” It looked like an old silent movie chase scene. Then the before and after pictures! Aha! What a strange contraption, but the proof is in the pudding. Good job and great job with all the harvest. Potato bonanza 🥔🥔🥔🥔🥔
What a hoot! That music with the time-lapse in the courtyard was just so funny 😂
Hello once again Boys! The fountain is going to be amazing I am so excited for you and the Chateau and very grateful to all of your loyal and generous Patrons! I have to say I am very jealous of your veggies that are coming up so well. Well done guys. As always all the best from us to you both. be well, stay safe and keep up the amazing work and videos! Colin & Jan Carlo
Hello you two. Thank you for another fantastic comment. The veggies are a,a zing and we believe that next year we will have a completely transformed courtyard. ❤😊❤. We will have to do some serious work to get the foundation done. Colin and Jan, sending you love and hugs from Colombe. ❤💖❤
❤🙏🙂@@patrickjourneytothechateau9452
The music you selected for the time lapse raking of the gravel was spot on! 🤣 Also if you haven’t “put up” tomatoes before, Google “Canning in a Hot Water Bath” and you can have tomatoes for soups and stews all winter. Great video! 🥰
Love the German music along with the tractor 😂
Dear Patrick and Stuart, Your land should be named bountiful acres because you produce the most beautiful fruits and vegetables. When the weather begins getting cooler those potatoes will make a delicious potato leek soup. The fountain is beautiful and the courtyard calls for a fountain. I can envision the courtyard becoming a spectacular place. Your rake machine did a superb job and even after you complete the courtyard it will be useful to tame weeds from appearing in the gravel. Hugs to you both. xx
Thank you, Stephanie! 💕
Hello fellas, how are y'all doing? I just love the garden. I love the vegetables. I love it all. Love watching both of you. Hard at work and another pleasure of mine are garden fountains. You can't have too many but everything is looking lovely and you too along with friends and soon patrons coming to help. Like I said, help us on the way you guys are doing wonderful and your count with the number of people that are coming on board get it together, people like and subscribe. It's not hard to do and like they say it doesn't cost anything. Get on board you'll enjoy! Will continue to follow you on your journey❤
Thank you! 💕😊
Those plum tomatoes are amazing. I see canning tomato sauce in your future. And those tiny pear shaped tomatoes have always been my favorite for eating out of hand. When I was young I’d pick them right off the vine and pop them into my mouth. If any of them made it into the house I’d slice them in half lengthwise and sprinkle a touch of salt on them, hmmm. All those new potatoes, wow! I’m drooling at the sight of them. Yum! Johanna Maine USA
and they said it couldn't be done, boy you sure fooled them a nice big basket of potatoes.
We did! ❤️
Grosartige ernte 🎉🎉🎉❤❤😊😊 hat auch viel mit dem Klima und Der erde zu tun und die tomatoes sind toll ich Mach Sussex etc mit meines alles liebe ❤
Thank you so much. And that was only 2 feet of the bed of 30 feet…. 😮😂😊. Love your comment. ❤❤
@@lisac1110indeed. So true. Thank you so much. ❤❤❤
When the Italians came to Southern Australia as labourers to build the hydro scheme they planted potatoes 🥔 in their compacted front yards to loosen the soil and feed their family, The Aussies scoffed at them but they, like both of you had the last laugh.
First of all, YEAH for the score on the fountain-beautiful. Second, lavendar, lavendar, lavendar!!! Third, nothing like new potatoes, and last you guys are doing a great job!
I couldn't figure out what you had attached to the tractor. It really did a great job on the weeds. The before and after: A big difference. My favorite find on your part, Patrick is the bell! I look forward to seeing it in its new home!
I just got back from a week in France and now have a much greater appreciation for everything in your videos, gentlemen. The architecture, gardens, brocantes, and of course the unending & magnificent chateau that seemingly cover the entire country. It's a truly magical place. Love your videos, keep up the great work!
Thank you so much. France is magnificent. Glad you had a great time. We will keep going. Sending you love and hugs and a big thank you. ❤❤❤
Good morning Patrick & Stuart, it seems to me you had a great time in raking the courtyard Patrick. You zoomed around but it looked so tidy when finished. Wonderful way to stock up wood in the meantime, and if you can load more, we just do not know what awaits us and you will always use up that fire wood. It is neat and tidy and will dry to perfection. Oh, I just so love harvesting! Those tomatoes were beautiful, I do love the yellow pear shaped ones, I noticed red ones in the basked, have not seen those here, not surprised either!! I watch the Veggie Boys (and girls) and it is a family run vegetable farm, and it is just lovely. The peaches look so healthy and delicious no marks or bruises and not bird damage thus far. It is much work, but they can all be bottled and saved for later use, so get prepared. There is always a mess with renovations, I like to prepare well, lying down papers/plastic just to save the flooring and to keep the dust down. It is not easy but at least the renovations makes our lives much better. It is very challenging when living on the property and you renovate, I know, I have been there. I am now too senior for all that, there is a time and place for everything in our lives. The fountain would be so grand with beautiful big tiles on the surround. Remember in the past the horses and carts/wagons had to have a solid basis or they got stuck, hence everything was built so thoroughly. As always a most interesting video, good to see you, love your stories. Take care, kind regards, Elzie.
Aloha, ty for this wonderfully, funny video. Patrick on that rake thing 🤣🙃😂🤣😂🤣. I could not stop laughing, like out loud belly laugh! Your prolific garden - I could almost taste the tomatoes. Glad that you are stored up on firewood. Everything looks and is wonderful.
Thanks so much!
Not only did you buy a Chateau with a beautiful little Chapel but your orchard is a gift that keeps on giving! Congrats on your wonderful produce harvest too.👏🍅🍑💖
🤗💕🤗. Thank you so very much. 💖💖💖
‘Le Man’s” good grief Patrick, did you get a funny tummy going round n round? You are both an inspiration to us all. Thanks 🐨❤DD
😂🤣😂. I almost did……. Thank you so much for making me laugh. 😊😊😊. Very kind of you. Hugs from Colombe. ❤
Take that potato planting haters. 😂😂. It makes me happy seeing them harvested.
😂👍
Ok that fountain is simply awesome!!!
Your choice of fountain will look amazing in the court yard, can't wait to see it up and working. Your produce from the garden was tremendous and yes I was amazed to see them so close to the surface. Love your channel. ❤
Thank you very much. We are excited. Ext spring the courtyard will be transformed. 😊 and our harvest is quite something with little work. Hugs😊😊
Stacked my fair share of firewood.
I have missed you fellas. I'm catching up on videos now.😊. I had heart failure but I'm learning to live with it! Life is so precious. The garden is terrific. God bless you and yours. Love, jenwhite ❤❤
Good to hear from you, Jen! 😊 we were concerned when we hadn't heard from you. we are so sorry to hear about your heart. 😢😢 we hope you are doing better and that you enjoy the catch up! 💕💕
You tell 'em Stuart 😆
Stuart, love the Polka music .
Pattrick you on that tractor reminds me of the last patron leaving the pub trying to drive home. Great job on your harvest
🤣😂🤣. That’s me 🤣🤣🤣. Love it. Thank you for making me laugh. Hugs my friend.
That thing behind the tractor is called a drag. We owned a horse farm for many years and used the drag to flatten the riding arena and to break up horse manure in the fields.
😅😅 to the naysayers , plenty of produce to go around .. i always say, YOU DO YOU - ILL DO ME .. wow a Fountain im excited , it would look ama x ing in the courtyard 😊 hello babies 🐕🐕🐕🐕🐕🐕🐕🐕
you new toy is a HARROW and your harrowing looks like fun 😊
I’m a completely harrowed man and I love it. Thank you so much 😂❤😂.
😍👏🏻😍
How gratifying when all your hard work pays off! You will eat delicious food, stay toasty warm and look out on a gorgeous courtyard that doesn’t irritate you with all the weeds! You’re doing well!
Thank you so much. ❤❤❤. It doesn’t get much better. Hugs
Always enjoy your posts. A fountain will look wonderful in the courtyard and fun seeing the claw being used. Firewood planning is a must when you have a huge home to keep warm. Your harvest is magnificent. Your tomatoes just huge success. I was laughing as you harvested the potatoes and thought not bad for not knowing what you were doing…. 😂😂😂, my mom used to add mint to the homegrown potatoes or peas which was so delish. Nothing like home grown veg. Well done to you both. Patrick will be busy in the kitchen as I see jam/ canning sessions coming too. See you both soon.
Great harvest and the fountain will look fabulous xx
Excellent raking skills with the perfect choice for music. 😆 I was with Stewart, I didn't think it would work. I remove the stems and throw the extra tomatoes in a freezer bag and freeze them. All winter long I have tomatoes for sauces, soups, stews. The skins will separate while cooking and you can remove them, but they cook down really well.
Lovely idea to put a fountain. So funny how Patrick asked if he could talk about it😂
😂🤣😂. I never know when I’m spoiling a surprise. 😂😂. We are looking forward to the fountain. Huge hugs. ❤❤

@@patrickjourneytothechateau9452 my friend and I watch your channel all the time. We would like to come visit as we will be in France for two weeks at the end of September and first week of October. We are volunteering with Ash and Terry and then will come to LaLand. We would like to visit first monday of October. Hope this is good
Another great episode with 2 of my favorite guys. The courtyard looks amazing already. You gave me a much-needed bit of laughter watching the fast motion time lapse of you on the tractor, reminded my husband and me both of Benny Hill. 😂 the garden produce was awesome. Can't wait to see what you found at the brocante.
Thank you so much Angela. 😘😘😘. What a nice comment. I love the result of the harrow. So glad you laughed. I did too. 😂😂. It was like Benny Hill in Munich 😂😂. Sending love to you two. Hugs from Colombe ❤❤❤
Well done with your harvesting. I am sure there is more than one way of doing things successfully as you have proven. Glad to see the blue beauty is at work again. Hugs and best wishes.
I could be wrong but growing up in the country the thing you use behind the tractor in the US is called a harrow. Your is a vintage one, like we had. I always called it a drag since I used it to keep the riding ring smooth. A peice of chain link fence weighted down works good too. Isn't it relaxing to do that job? Beautiful garden!
There is a substitute for box trees that are not attacked by this Asian Moth. I saw it this year in a beautiful garden of a villa at the Lago di Como. I spoke to the gardener: unfortunately I do not remember the name, but the gardener informed me that it works fine but in needs to be trimmed much more often as it grows faster. I‘m sure a gardener can find out the name for you.
Hurray! Of course potatoes will grow, they love good dirt and you have a lot of it! What a harvest of tomatoes!!!! To top it all off was the ballet you performed Patrick with the rake! Fantastic! I always laugh when you start doing something like that because you always manage to put a bit humour into your work! As usual Stuart, perfect photography and music!
Thank you! ❤️
Thank you Norma. ❤❤❤. They liked our soil….. those potatoes 🥰. I’m amazed. 🥳💖🥳. The tomatoes. Yummy. You have to bring humor to the work we do and it makes it much easier. Love your comment. 😘💕😘
Congrats on the harvest! Delicious-ness.
Oh, nice yield from your pirate patch. Never say never. 😉
Thank you, Gloria! 💕👍😘
Loved the music as you careered around on the tractor, great news about the courtyard renovation coming soon. Happy to know that you won't be bothered by a potato famine any time soon. Enjoyed the vlog and music.
Thank you for the video! IMHO anything that spares me from manual labour is an appliance to be treasured!
😂. Hi Daniel. I love the way you phrased it. And I agree ❤❤❤
Love seeing the garden 😊
Beautiful job stacking the wood. Gorgeous veggies, too! We'll call Stuart the spud stud.😀
🤣 spud stud! Love it. And thank you so much. ❤😂❤.
I, too, love to people watch. The rake did amazingly well. It made a huge difference. That vegetable haul is fabulous. Those tomatoes look yummy. I knew you would do well with the potatoes. If they can grow in rock in Newfoundland, they can grow anywhere. Yours look like white potatoes which you don't need to peel. I love them with the peel on. Patrick, I think you really love that tractor. It looked like you had lots of fun. The wood pile is stacked to professional standards and pleasing to the eye. I think now a days with everything happening in our world, it is good to be prepared. I look forward to Friday and also to the fountain. The fountain will really define your chateau well. As always, it is great to see you both and the fur babies as well. We have had hot weather here again this week. I stay in the air conditioned bedroom and rest during the day and up late at night. Stay cool. Lots of love.❤
My dear Peter. Thank you so much. I was amazed on how well the potatoes did. And Stuart didn’t even dig deep down…. 6 plants and many more to go. ❤ The veggies are going well and next year we are planning on having. Raised beds! Exciting. And you are right about the current times. 😮. I love the tractor, especially when it’s working 😂😂😂 We did ask our patrons for input and all who responded wanted the fountain. So there we are. ❤❤. We are very happy. We hope you are recovering steadily. Not easy but as long as there is healing and progress. Wishing you healing and sending you love. Stay cool my dear ❤❤❤❤
Bounty of produce! Beautiful tomatoes. I guess you’ll be many juice and sauce.
What a harvest beautiful tomatoes, potatoes look good, my guess is potatoes will grow anywhere we have found the less fuss you make the better.
Good one guys! You have been busy! Between the courtyard work and the grand harvest and the wood load you have been working hard. Can’t wait for fountain installation and the landscaping. Have you thought of using coastal Rosemary for your hedging instead of boxwood? Very hardy and has lovely blue flowers and trims well. You could then plant pink or white lavender in between along with bulbs and ornamental trees. Look forward to Friday’s video on your interior work. 🥰🥰
oh my to bad I couldn't go on yesterday at the premier but what have I laughed about the fast motion with the tracktor. Patrick were dancing with it and seems he had fun doing it. Your harvesting was a feast would I say. And mmmmm new potatoes are the best. Can't wait to see more of it and I am curious for friday. Let me say this fountain you are planing looks amazing and would look so so so great at your chateau. See you on friday then 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🍀🍀🐕🐕And cuddles to your furballs
Great job guys!! Doing the no dig has really worked well for you😊. Charles Dowding would be proud😁
Thank you so much. ❤❤
Wow - love the fountain - good sized fountain for a large area. Eager to see it in and running!
Thank you and me too. 🥰🤗💖
Wow talk about green thumbs..you sure do have them..wonderful harvest w harpsichord music 😊
The tomatoes and potatoes are beautiful! All the best! Sometimes the response to "you can't do that" is"watch me"!
Thank you and 😂😂😂. That is usually the best thing to say to me. No or you can’t, or you are doing it wrong……. I will dig my heels right in and proof that I can. In this case, Mother Nature did the trick. Huge hugs. ❤❤
Hello from Edmonton, Alberta Canada. The thing you are towing behind your tractor is actually called a Harrow ( in English). Used them for years when I was farming in my youth.
Hello lads, thank you for brightening up my evening. I loved the tractor scenes it was very amusing Stuart. Your editing and choice of music was so funny that it was like watching a dance performance lol. Wow what a harvest and the look of pure enjoyment on Your face Patrick as you were picking those tomatoes. You both have a great sense of humour and very witty and I love the interaction with each other. Xx🇨🇮
Thank you Sheila. It was fun to ride the tractor and see the transformation of the courtyard. I’ll do that again soon but we have over 30 degrees every day. So glad you enjoyed it to music. 😂😂😂. Love your comments. You always make me smile. Love from Colombe ❤❤
@@patrickjourneytothechateau9452 Thank you Patrick for your lovely comment. Your vlog photograph reminds me of a young German scout I met in the 90’s who came with his DPSG scouts who came to Ireland for a visit. They say everyone has a double well this guy was your double. Lol x
Stuart, your French has improved so much! 🎉🎉 Patrick, I love the music behind your tractor 🚜 pull adventure. Next you know, we’ll be watching Stuart sitting on the pallet that’s sitting on the rake, acting as (and no offence intended here at all, Stuart, all fun and tongue-in-cheek) more ballast. 😅😅😅😂😂😂 You’re having ‘way too much fun there, my friend!! 😂😂😂
Stuart’s French is coming along 😊. The Bavarian Benny Hill style music was a great choice by Dtuart. 😂😂😂. I had to laugh. And yes, I had way too much fun and love the results. ❤😊❤. Hugs from Colombe.
That may be the best stack of wood my odc self has ever seen🥳🥳🥳
OCD
That was too funny watching Patrick racing around on the tractor, the music was perfect for it 😂😂
🤣😂🤣
Dearest Gents... I have to say thank you for my full on belly laugh when the music started highlighting Patrick raking the Court of Honor... perfect and hilarious. Well done Stuart! I almost expected Patrick to dismount the "claw" and break into a celebratory German knee and foot slapping folk dance for a job well done... lederhosen included! Good on you Stuart for setting the nay sayers straight about the potatoes... just for the record. Both of you... your humor and joy is infectious... and everything from stacking firewood to the harvesting the bumper crop of delicious fruits and vegetables.... such hard work... you make seem an easy pleasure. Merci, Danke, thank you.
Thank you! 😊
Darling James. You are such a joy. I actually had Lederhosen as a kid 😮😂😮. Stuart’s choice of music made me laugh. 😂😂😂. And it was so satisfying to ride the blue claw and see the Court slowly transform. You are so very kind. I love that you enjoy our personalities and our crazy lives. Without wonderful people like you, this journey would be 9th half as enjoyable. Sending you love and huge hugs. Can’t wait to one day welcome you here. ❤❤❤
As you are discovering, the whole point of planting potatoes is to get a crop, and as you dig them up you are clearing the ground too. Win, win. The Courtyard looks great too. We used to spray ours with vinegar (and a bit of soap) every so often, maybe three times a year, from the co-op (a bi-product of the wine they sold). Non-toxic and helps keep the weeds at bay.

Hey fellers, Doves is what I want or maybe homing pigeons, and all the rest of that stuff too, including dark blue ceiling with gold stars in the chapel!!!! Just a reminder.
Your garden vegetables are just beautiful, those tomatoes look delicious! Glad to see the claw back in action. :)
Yay to the claw. So glad it now works again. Priceless. And the harvest is fun. The tomatoes are deliciously sweet. Hugs from Colombe ❤❤❤
Yes that BLUE tractor the the claw loader. Is very handy for the guys!!
Patrick. How come u have Tomatoes 🍅 looking like MINI PEARS🍐?? I LIKE THEM. WHAT IS NAME OF THEM PLEASE. Thankyou😍 I HAVE ONE BEEF STEAK. ONE BLACK TOMATOE, AND ONE MEDIUM TOMATOE PLANT!!
What bounty from the garden, so beautiful, especially the potatoes but I missed a walk through the flower garden?Marianne, Chicago.
Potato soup time!
The only thing missing from your reply about the potatoes was "Neener Neener". Very well produced video, Stuart. I love the fountain you choose for your courtyard.
Love it 😂😂😂😂. Thank you. ❤
You can can the tomatoes and make Italian red sauce this winter, my Italian mother-in-law did it. Makes delicious sauce. If you get more zucchini I have a good recipe for that with potatoes and a light red sauce. We called it jambut, which means everything and the kitchen sink, LOL!♥️♥️♥️♥️😘
I really like the new introduction and the music is allowed to reach a good end.
Thank you. Stuart spends a lot of time to coordinate music with the videos. I appreciate that you notice it. Hugs from Colombe ❤
Oooooh didn't Stephanie's dad put in the fountain at Lalande? I'm sure she'd have advice. Wonderful idea! That raking to Polka music is fun. 😂 oh my that IS a lot of tomatos! Ahahahaha just a few potatoes too and very pretty at that.
The potatoes look great. Makes me hungry for a baked potato now. LOL
❤😊❤
Ya got Big Blue back!
Yes we did!
You made me laugh again Patrick Charlie Chaplin on the tractor 😂 like the time you put the finials on the gate posts 😂 I’m looking forward to the fountain being constructed in your courtyard, it looks beautiful. You have a healthy organic supply of vegetables, I’m so pleased you both made a success of producing potatoes well done 🍅🥒🍑🥔 ❤😊 👋
You two light up my life (electricity pun). What an episode!! In Australia the tractor rake is called a 'drag harrow'. Salivating over the tomatoes and potatoes. Planning to come and visit/stay in 2024. Love absolutely everything about your journey 💞
A bountiful harvest. As you have discovered potatoes will grow however you plant them. In the ground in a pot or even window boxes. Just as long as they are covered and have some water you will get a crop. They are only rowed and banked up by farmers to ease planting & harvesting them, usually by machine. BTW the "rake" is called a harrow. They come in several guises, straight tine, spring tine & disc. ATB regards from the UK
At first I agreed with Stuart that the raking with the tractor wasn’t making a difference, but the side by side photos showed the transformation. You have a wide variety of tomatoes and they all look spectacular. Also quite the extreme potato turnout. Great job !! Take care my friends, Ralph Rocchiccioli
It was a slow start my friend but once the harrow got into the ground, it was amazing. And the array of tomatoes is lovely. We will have sauces and salads for months. I love it. Some we will eat with potatoes. 😂 Huge hugs my dear friend. ❤❤❤
Spuds.. yay! 😊
Nothing like home grown vegies! The previous owner of my home was Italian so i had a lovely harvest of potatoes plus all the fruit trees she planted with her son. She often asks me why i have planted things that are not edible?! 😂 Loving the fountain plan and rosemary is also very hardy as a hedge i found. Best of luck with electrics etc❤love from Oz🐾🍅🥔🦘🐨🦘
Strange coincidence, but I've very recently learned that device pulled behind the tractor is called a Chain Harrow. I can't be the only one to have told you that, but now I need to go research why it's called that! lol
the front courtyard looks great.. maybe you should put a weed killer down now as I am sure now you have aerated and loosened the surface the weeds will shoot up at the first sign off rain.. seen this recipe several times for an eco and pet friendly option. Pour 1 gallon of white vinegar into a bucket. 5-percent household white vinegar is fine. ... Add 1 cup of table salt. ... Stir in 1 tablespoon of liquid dishwashing soap. ... Blend all thoroughly and then funnel the weed killer into a plastic spray bottle. look forward to see how the court yard and fountain develops, love the idea of lavender, another crop for the future. The produce from the garden looks amazing and lots more to come by the looks of it.. guess you will be busy storing and preserving soon if not already. All the best guys.. hope the airbnb is going well Robb Torremolinos Spain 😘
What a fabulous week you have had! That tractor rake was fantastic 👏 and I’m really happy for you re the fountain. It will look stunning ❤ amazing harvest 😍😍😍 well done x see you Friday! Xx
Hi Patrick and Stuart i think patrick looked like he was having fun on the rack machine going round in circles I think it’s a great idea to have a fountain in the courtyard it will set it of the rest of the chateau and to hear the water and to see it everyday working realaxing and I am sure the guests will love it you did well on your planting also don’t worry what people say just do what right for you everything is a learning curb
I had way too much fun and will do so in the future 😂😂😂. It is so satisfying. ❤❤ The thought of water cascading down the fountain is wonderful. We had a waterfall in the US. Love it. The harvest started strong. We a4e so happy. Thank you so much. 🥰🤗🥰
I think I see a tomato torte in your future, followed by tomato salad with mozzarella, basil and balsamic dressing, tomato jam, tomato chutney … I’ll bring my own fork 😊.
We have forks….😂😂😂😂. Love the suggestions and now I am hungry. Just stop by and help us to eat the yumminess. Hugs 🥰💖🤗
Thank you for making me laugh! Again!
😂. Thank you! ❤
Ha! I was thinking dig deeper for more potatoes. I am sorry for thinking you did not know there are more potatoes to be had. I will be better next time. 😀Oh, and maybe some tomato jam for the winter???? Serious tomato envy.
What a lovely pack/family of dogs! How many dogs do you have.

I love it when you guys go thifting.
The gadget you used to weed the courtyard was awesome 👌 👏. Loved watching you go round and round. 😆 Just kidding 😂 flea markets are so much fun. Don't know how to spell the French word. Can't wait to see your finds. ❤️
They are spelled "brocantes". 😃 Thank you, Gloria! ❤️
yum yum
Do a small test dig to see if you have a paved court yard.
