  • I discovered The Four Tops when I was 10 yrs old, after watch the movie Hamburger Hill. I was overwhelmed with so much emotion. That weekend, I bought my first Cd. It was Motown’s Greatest Hits. Reach out, I’ll be there. My older brother hated me for how much I played that Album.

  • I don't want to start something, okay, I will! I'm not/new school but always in music school from eras ago yet does anybody wonder, in honesty, sure some of 60's/70's songs are classics and would possibly be jamming today yet the slow-paced groove back then was a part of music that was slowly changing (Do-wop do-wop!) but not by the beat but the sound! Songs today still have 4/4 or 3/4 or even 1-2, 1-2 step, (right Ciarra!) yet the sound is different. Hard to explain, maybe.

  • I always get a strange reaction from fellow Northern soul friends when asked what's my favorite tune and even tho I have 7inch singles worth a few quid I always say Tops baby I need your loving! Simple tune but pure and does for me. Keep the faith!
