Chi-Chi also literally doesn't care about the world being destroyed as long as her son is safe which is incredibly stupid mindset to have. Because your son can't have an education if everyone's dead. Gohan also shares the same sense of justice as his father and tries to help people in need, but nope Chi-Chi's doesn't want him to fight. At the end of the day, Chi-Chi only thinks about herself.

Yeah... I love Chi-Chi but sometimes she can be irrational. Though Chi-Chi is a very emotional woman so I feel she was just saying that because she wanted what she thinks is best for Gohan because she loves him. Besides she did eventually understand that Gohan NEEDED to go to up their chances against the Androids.

Cuz like, Chichi isn't there for most of fights, so it makes sense for her to not fathom the seriousness of it. And she could be like, "Why are you guys putting so much responsibility on a child instead of yourselves?" Then, when Gohan is fighting cell, it would feel more impactful when he defeats him. Because, instead of everyone expecting him to defeat him, Chichi would plant some reasonable uncertainty in the viewers mind. But instead of that, we just have her as a gag character.

I do agree! Goku and Chi-Chi have a bond. A strong one. They have a very deep love for one another and their kids. They both want what’s best for them, they just don’t always agree on what that is. That’s fine. That’s normal. They’ll occasionally argue and bicker too. Also normal. But they do always come to a compromise in the end, and that’s how normal relationships work. Is it exaggerated for the sake of comedy? Oh heck yes, absolutely so. But there’s nothing abusive or unhealthy about it. They’re not beating each other. They’re not making each other worse for being together. Their children are happy and healthy, and they both have learned to understand one another’s quirks and adapted accordingly. That’s a pretty healthy relationship, barring the comedic exaggeration. Way too many people seem to think a healthy relationship means no unpleasantness or arguing at all. This is not the case.

Chi Chi is how a normal mom would react, her son was literally kidnapped and was unconscious after the fight with Vegeta. She witnessed her husband get absolutely torn apart by Piccolo, she also had to hear that Goku died twice. Goku also contracted the heart virus ( stayed by his side ). He prolly felt more pressurised with his dad, who wanted him to be a stronger fighter, despite him being not into fighting. Plus, chi chi and goku, besides their quarrels, don't hate each other, and are pretty loyal. Chi chi has every opportunity to ask for divorce or cheat on him, but she never does. Goku same. What she is meaning to say is "I do not want to have my son get hurt so I do not want him to train and fight." And if you are not going to train and fight, you might as well doing something productive with this time, and this productive task in her mind is studying. She is aware that the world may get destroyed, but she'd rather it not be Gohan to bear the brunt of it all. Be aware of what Gohan has gone through... he was kidnapped by Raditz, then he was kidnapped by Goku's archrival at that time (Piccolo) who put Gohan through inhumane conditions in the wild, yes he is a sayian and he should be expected to survive, but he was not accustomed. Then he went of to Namek, where he was almost caught in the self destruction of the entire planet as well as being brutalised by Reccoome and Frieza. Through all these events, it is likely that a toll has been taken on Chi Chi's mental state, and she wishes to hold what's dear to her the most, yes - this is selfish, but with a deteriorated mindset, it is understandable. Also marrying someone right of the gate because they're hot? When does this happen? The two possible instances I narrow this down to is Chi Chi marrying Goku - which was because of a promise Goku made (yes this is arguably completely unrealistic I shall agree, though I will defend the point slightly) or Videl marrying Gohan, in which case it was about Videl's money and not how she looked - (although Krillin comments on Videl being good looking on numerous occasions) which happens frequently in real life. Now I cannot say I can defend Chi Chi marrying Goku because of a promise he made as a child because it should be impossible, but I'll try - Chi Chi was a princess, throughout her life she had been pampered by the ox king, eventually she would be lead to the belief that everything in her life would turn out the way she wanted, and as a young child, she wanted Goku, hence she was blind and chose to seek no other alternative.

I don’t agree with the title. Chi-Chi’s angry moments are honestly moments that displays her passionate side to her that makes Goku so in love with her. She’s a strong woman. More than that, Goku is attracted to that feisty nature! Fears and respects his woman dearly. Her anger mostly comes from a good place, and with good reason. Can it be a bit too much? Yeah, but her husband and sons get where she’s coming from.

I do agree! Goku and Chi-Chi have a bond. A strong one. They have a very deep love for one another and their kids. They both want what’s best for them, they just don’t always agree on what that is. That’s fine. That’s normal. They’ll occasionally argue and bicker too. Also normal. But they do always come to a compromise in the end, and that’s how normal relationships work. Is it exaggerated for the sake of comedy? Oh heck yes, absolutely so. But there’s nothing abusive or unhealthy about it. They’re not beating each other. They’re not making each other worse for being together. Their children are happy and healthy, and they both have learned to understand one another’s quirks and adapted accordingly. That’s a pretty healthy relationship, barring the comedic exaggeration. Way too many people seem to think a healthy relationship means no unpleasantness or arguing at all. This is not the case.

Also marrying someone right of the gate because they're hot? When does this happen? The two possible instances I narrow this down to is Chi Chi marrying Goku - which was because of a promise Goku made (yes this is arguably completely unrealistic I shall agree, though I will defend the point slightly) or Videl marrying Gohan, in which case it was about Videl's money and not how she looked - (although Krillin comments on Videl being good looking on numerous occasions) which happens frequently in real life. Now I cannot say I can defend Chi Chi marrying Goku because of a promise he made as a child because it should be impossible, but I'll try - Chi Chi was a princess, throughout her life she had been pampered by the ox king, eventually she would be lead to the belief that everything in her life would turn out the way she wanted, and as a young child, she wanted Goku, hence she was blind and chose to seek no other alternative.

I don’t agree with the title. Chi-Chi’s angry moments are honestly moments that displays her passionate side to her that makes Goku so in love with her. She’s a strong woman.
