  • Beautiful. This picture resonates with me. I got teary eyed watching you paint this. It’s like she’s been in a dark place so long and now is feeling Gods warm embrace. She’s making it through the storm. You see pain, hope, relief,rest, struggle and strength. Perfect 👍🏾

  • The trick , which they don't tell you is learn to view in in light and shade , forget about the colors, for the moment .

    • Absolutely! Light , but warm colors for the light areas, darks but cool colors for the shadows. Add in the darkest shadows and the cast shadows, then the highlights.

    • Iv only been drawing & painting for the last 5 years or so , & it's the values of light & dark I struggle with still , I can never get it right & most time put shadow & light in the wrong areas or totally opposite. Iv done a colour 1 also , that was actually fun to do. 😊

  • I’m confused did you use acrylic or watercolor?……because I would think acrylic would be too heavy or did you water it down? I know the white was acrylic, but what about the other colors they seem translucent. Please reply!!

    • No watercolour used. The acrylic used has a thinner quality 🎨👍🏻😊
