Remember people, BDSP and Legend's Arceus were made by a different team, the team that makes the main series games had 3 years to work on this after Sword and Shield
Well, kinda. The main team is split in two, one for arceus as it is technically main series, and one for this.
Legends Arceus was made by gamefreak too. But again they never expose the schedule they work on a game .
Gamefreak has multiple teams, we know this cause the team that did the sword and shield dlc was different then the team that did the base game of sword and shield.
It was confirmed that PLA was made by the main team, while BDSP was made by a side team
BDSP was made by a separate company, Legends was made by Gamefreak
I can’t help but feel an immeasurable joy at seeing just how excited the Pokemon community can be and get upon a new adventure. That’s what it’s about y’all. A new journey and from the looks of it- gamefreak is breaking their strict gameplay. Broadening the boarders beyond a single road.

Only really noticed it after watching the sequence so many times in a row, but I love the way they build up to the starter reveal. The sound you hear is exactly what it sounds like when an orchestra is warming up and preparing to play, then the conductor calls attention, silence, a pause, and the greatest song in video game music history.

As an spaniard I briefly saw the Spain map and I was like "okay like I'm pretty sure this is Detective Pikachu 2, but what would a Spain map would do in DP2?", then the trailer started and I proceeded to hold the arm of a friend of mine which I was watching the Presents with, without realizing how freaking strong I was holding the grip untill she said "you are going to rip it off" lmfao This has to be one of the best announcements Pokémon has ever come to make and the starters are SO cute, really love Fuecoco!
First I thought it was going to be an Italian region but watching it again and seeing the Sagrada Familia inspired structure cemented it to be Spain instead.

Hard to believe it's been a year since this was revealed. And the game did not disappoint. So many amazing new Pokemon, memorable characters, captivating gameplay and a great story. Here's hoping for another exciting Pokemon Day.

Basculin and Basculegion have scale textures in PLA as well. I like that they're giving Pokémon models this level of detail.

Everyone's saying "why so soon?" I bet they were working on this before arceus and threw together arceus as a test run to see how or if people would like the new change, as great and fun as legends arceus is it still feels like a shell of a game and this gen 9 seems to have all the fillers, and they're going full force with it now since legends got such great feedback. Just my 2 cents
I would assume these projects ran in parallel to Arceus’ development. No doubt the open world mechanics were experimental, but that they already established they were going in that direction with the Wild Areas in Sword and Shield and its DLC. I would assume the intent of Arceus was to have that game serve as their official GEN IV remakes, as they recognize it as a main series title. I doubt they made it just to gauge critical reception for another game they were already into development with.
This is even more proof that Sword and Shield was a test for this upcoming style and craziness, i want Fuecoco so badly, that being the Fire starter

I'm excited too, everytime I saw the trailer it just makes me more eager to get it! I feel like a child waiting on Christmas Morning😂 They know Legends Arceus is gonna be a banger and the style that they're going with gen 9 looks very similar to Legends Arceus. And I'm telling you, I'm still enjoying legends arceus gameplay no matter how much I've seen it. So this, this is like the best thing that could've ever done to me, in the Pokémon franchise (unless they somehow add megas into the game but that's probably not gonna happen, we have move on from Gen 6) It is going to be EPIC!

I really hope the japanese logo's star as well as the stars w/ the bolt throughout the imagery indicates a return to delta species to the extent that there's a trait allowing certain mons to change 1 of their 1-2 types at will. It would also explain why GF was so uppity about the copyrights for those types of delta-based rom hacks.
I feel like regional variants are the mainline equivalent to deltas. Wouldn’t make sense to introduce them to the main games from the tcg when it’s basically the same as an already present feature.

Well based from the info I've gathered throughout the internet, people are saying that the dev split up to 2 teams, Legends and This one. I'm guessing that they released Legends to see what the public's reaction would be if it were to have a new system overall.

I wonder what they're gonna do with the anime. Would they stick with Journeys and Keep Goh or have Ash and Pikachu become a blank slate again and returning to the formula of Travelling through this region with new companions going through biomes to towns, helping people and pokemon, Team Rocket still gets in the way, and beating the Evil Team this region could have. Heck, or maybe even a new protagonist since Ash may have achieved his goal or finished his journey in beating Leon and become a Pokemon Master with his stacked team or whatever.
The second reaction, I was hoping for XD gale of darkness as well remastered. I plan on getting the grass type starter by the way.

While I agree everyone is overreacting, this was def a surprise considering arceus just got released. Also before swsh, new game reveals can fall anywhere from january to may. ORAS got revealed late april iirc.

Well, bases on the colors we can only guess fire for scarlet and spirit (I don't know how it is called in english) for violet
