I FINALLY got the Sterling Ink Common Planner! The set up for this common planner is a long one so grab a snack/drink and feel free to skip around to the parts you are interested in. I have time stamps down below. This is a functional set up with minimal decoration and NO STICKERS!
I wanted to get the A5 size but I was late to the party and unable to get the dated version. So, I got the undated. In this video I talk about how I set it up AND actually take you through the whole set up process. This was decided after a poll I did over on my Instagram! I did not use the date sticker kit that was available from Sterling Ink, in this video, but, I do have a separate video about using the stickers that I will link below.

That book does sound amazing. 📖 I would use the snake book for my tarot card journal. 🐍 I'm totally going to go through HB 90 again. I've fallen off & need to get back to what works. 💗
I have been loving the common planner quite a bit! The snake book (Magic of I) would make a wonderful tarot journal too. I may get one for 2024 and use if for that ;) Best of luck with your HB90!

Love this so much. Gives me so many ideas for my common planner next year. I definitely paused and copied some of the trackers (adulting, package + orders, reading log). I mainly use the daily pages for journaling, so need as many as I can because I journal every single day. Thank you for this video!! I am hoping the Magic of I comes out with a 2024 planner. Right now I use a B6 Stalogy for my astrology, tarot, oracle journal.

Love your set up! What are you using as a blotting paper?
Thank you so much! I like to use old paper from my Erin Condren notebooks! I have also used loose leaf paper before but it does not absorb as well or last as long. I take the pages out and cut them down so they fit within the book better. In my ink journals I like to use the J. Herbin blotting paper if that is helpful!

Mine will be here on Saturday and I am really excited to get started. I am not sure if I want start all the way back in January to have a whole year since I got the whole year or if I want to start in April.
I had the exact same dilemma! I was tempted to back fill it from January, but I knew it would take me so much longer. So I decided April would be best and it could act like an April start Hobonichi in a way.
Cute notebook I am looking at the passport size when I use my notebook but I am sad there isn’t more colors

You are so creative! I bought a Common Planner for 2024 and love it, except that the stickers have made it very lumpy. So I bought another one and am not going to use stickers at all in this one. Do you have any issues with the stamps bleeding through the paper?
No issues with bleeding for me. I only use the Versa Magic chalk ink though

What’s the difference between a bullet journal and a common planner (apart from the dots)?
I feel like a bullet journal is a complete blank notebook that you turn into a planner by making your own spreads or drawing your own layouts. With the Common Planner, it has structure in the front pages (quarterly, goals, monthlies, weeklies) and then a blank notebook essentially in the back. I see the common planner as a combination of structure and flexibility!
