  • Hooking your bait depends on how you're fishing. If you are using a sinker. Hook them underneath in front of the anal fin, if you are using a bobber hook them on top in front of the dorsal behind the head. Fish usually eat other fish head first and you want the hook to be in the fishes mouth so the closer to the head/body the better chance you have to actually set the hook if it's a small fish you can hook them pretty much anywhere just try not to paralyze or kill the bait fish.

  • Amazed you didn’t get more bluegills off the docks. Our dock had so many that I could just use a bare hook & catch all the bait fish I needed. My dad would fish for crappie & I would set up 3-4 rods for big fish. Cats, stripers, hybrids, gars. Never knew what would you would get.

    @williamkvold3785@williamkvold378511 күн бұрын
  • Hey btw you should hook the bluegill closer to its head because the fish eat the head pause first because they don’t want the gills getting stuck and pricking them in their throat/ stomach

  • It makes it super easy to thread worms on the hook and up the line a few inches if you take and roll your worm in some dry dirt or sand before trying to put it on the hook ... I like to bring a little Tupperware container full of sand or dry dirt with me In case im fishing off a dock... It makes putting a worm on Hella easy... Of course once the worm hits the water the dirt or sand washes right off and your fishing.....

Let the hook sink to the bottom in some shallow water and start tossing bread all around it. Eventually the fish get bold enough to start attacking the bread and you just yank up with the line in your hand and snag a fish
