In its 112-year legacy, the ANC has established the January 8th statement, a tradition since 1972, as a pivotal moment where the national executive committee outlines the roadmap ahead.
Originally delivered by Oliver Tambo, with a focus on nation-building at the time, the ANC now finds itself struggling to uphold these principles and failing to recapture the movement's past glories amid contemporary challenges.

As South Africa inches closer to the 2024 elections, pressing issues such as unemployment, load shedding, and crime persist, while internal party conflicts simmer.
As President Ramaphosa prepares his address, the critical question remains: can South Africans entrust the ANC with another five years of power amidst lingering citizen expectations and a struggling national agenda?
To answer some of these questions we have the Secretary General of the ANC, FIkile Mbalula.

  • Notice to register MK as a party was published in a Government Gazette by the Government Printing Works. The ANC SGO missed the notice, hence the registration by IEC. Mbalula is the leader of the SGO.

We are tired of people attacking servant leaders who had made a difference in people lives. Mr Mbalula attacked the leader Dr TK Mopeli whose family was in mourning after the passing of my son. You are the beneficiary of Dr Mopeli legacy. He gave you a place to live when the Bophuthatswana rejected you and not provided services. What have you done for the people. You destroyed his legacy he built in Qwaqwa. The industries, the infrastructure, roads with potholes, the stadium. You really talk too much, stop talking and respect the rule of law and upholding the constitutional rights of people. One journalist in daily sun wrote an article by EFF Provincial Secretary wo said he must apologise for urinating on the grave of Dr TK Mopeli. When you were addressing your audience, you undermined what Dr Mopell did in Qwaqwa. Karma!

    • Well I can state few strong but stupid reasons which make that possible. 1. Millions of eligible voters are either leaving below poverty line or grants beneficiaries who believe that anc is their savior. 2. The top 4 poorest provinces in SA keep anc alive because of the high level of illiteracy, unemployment and obviously being brainwash by the history of their former liberators in the anc. For as long as Millions of Africans in the rural areas believe that it's normal to use pit toilets, let their kids walk kms to mud schools, then it will take a serious revolution remove them completely.

  • Interesting how this Chap had so much to say on senseless political issues. When Dr Sizwe switched to matters of national importance (jobs, economic climate, turn around strategy….etc.) he got paralysed and struggled to put sensible sentences. To illustrate lack of depth, go back to their previous interview Dr Sizwe asked the same question on economy. The least he could have done is to prepare or anticipate the line of questioning (but thats too academic for him). Sometime this week Fikile told us there is nothing wrong with anc and for the first time had to agree with him. We have created this monster and keep on feeding it with our flesh and blood. SOUTH AFRICA CATCH A WAKE UP.
