Super glue and aluminum foil are materials in every home. That's why in this video we show you how to fix broken items in your home using aluminum foil and super glue. Aluminum foil and super glue combined to form a solid material like steel.
It is heartening to see that so many retired mime artists have learned new ways to keep their profession alive.👍
Lol!
Instead of super glue and aluminum foil, I use saw dust and white glue --- or epoxy resin if I want something even tougher. Wouldn't a threaded insert from the hardware store be better than running a tap through aluminum foil?
With close to 1 million subscribers, this guy knows what we want…all action, no talk 👌
You are a unique teacher👍👏
Very helpful...Thank you...Best of all...👍👍👍✊
Great idea ❤
if you want a good hold when fixing a hole in wood, use a dowel and glue it in. after that, use some sort of flush cut saw, and cut it down. sand it a little, and then put your screw back in. it will be much better than super glue and tin foil.
Especially if painting you still need to cover it, or needing to drill a hole in the same spot better a filler than breaking a drill bit
@@kristoffernordlund8392 Explain how aluminum is "highly toxic".
Typical tactic when someone can't provide evidence, since if the searcher doesn't find anything, you can just claim they don't know how to search. Clearly you are unfamiliar with the phrase, "Extraordinary claims require extraordinary proof".
@@lonniemcclure4538 if any aluminum dust gets in your lungs its highly toxic. aluminum in certain products can also cause irritation.
@@dakotaatv1238 Dust of any type, but especially metal, that actually makes it to one's lungs isn't healthy. That doesn't make it toxic (like lead or mercury). A toxic substance would not be used directly in contact with food (aluminum baking pans, aluminum foil, etc.).
You can use baking powder or paper towels instead of tin foil. It uses more CA glue is all.
polystyrene and nail varnish remover is a pretty good glue too
Very good idea. I shall try it. Thank you.
Great tips. It got me to subscribe. A safety note. The smoke/vapor coming off the wood dust is cyanide gas so I always have a fan to my back to blow it away. It does not happen with all woods just something to keep in mind when using super glue.
If you mixed "wood dust" with epoxy resin instead, you would not have to worry about it.... and it works far better.
That vapor isnt great for you, however the “cyano” root in the term “cyanoacrylates” may give the idea that adhesives contain cyanide-a highly toxic compound. This assumption is incorrect.
@@RayoAtra You know what does though? Apple seeds and peach pits(among other fruits). Technically they contain amygdalin, which is converted into hydrogen cyanide when digested, but I digress.
@@Astromyxin don’t swallow them… problem solved.
@@Astromyxin you also have to swallow 200lbs of them to start getting toxic level… but I digress.😂
Love the alfoil thing
It's amazing what kind of glue you use
CYA done well 👍🏼
On the light bulb hack how do you secure the plastic dome back onto the holder, I am thinking that silicone would not be any good and super glue will hold it too tight if you need to undertake another repair
Harika….teşekkürler….
Wonder how many times he's glued fingers?
Good Idea !
If you have some wood dowels on hand, that’s a lot easier than the aluminum foil trick.
No one gets to almost a million subscribers with wooden dowels sir! it takes innovation and silence to reach new levels of...'Oh...cool'. heh
@@wayneious ok so he’s making a cool 20k a year doing stupid stuff on the internet spending 60 hours a week editing and coming up with new content. 1m subs on KZhead is the new 50k
100% agree with you, however, in a pinch where one doesn't have a dowel, a saw, a cutoff saw, a hammer, sandpaper and some wood glue. I venture that all would agree, that super glue and tin foil are somewhat common items in the home.
I always keep a good supply of toothpicks in the shop -stick 'em in the hole to make it smaller ...
that aluminium next to the steel screw is gonna corrode very badly. I would also like to see a stress test to destruction on the threaded aluminium foil pack!
A good idea but very costley. Have you seen the price of superglue, or any other glue you may use
Yes, all these superglue-tip videos would work out crazy expensive where I live.
I can see all the millennials and Gen Z’ers saying “wow” “what a life hack!” Meanwhile I’ve used sawdust, toothpicks, dowels and woodglue for decades and never needed a roll of foil and a gallon (sarcasm)of cyanoacrylate laying around for those just in case moments.
I don't know that I'd buy a house that you built.. But I'd want you by my side during an apocalypse.
Wow, good!
Trik-trik yang sangat keren😎
If you use wood glue with the sawdust it will blend in a hell of a lot better than that c/a glue did
Wirklich tolle Tips vom Handwerker 👀👍😊 Danke für dein wirken...
Instead of foil filling oversized or stripped wood holes… use toothpicks or even small pieces of wood split down to the hole size.
I've always used toothpicks. Works great in loose door hinges.
I was wondering when I would find this simple/original tip 👍
Or super glue and baking soda
Or wooden match sticks if you don’t have any toothpicks.
thanks
Genius
There are far simpler, faster cheaper and easier ways to do most of these that don't involve idiotic mixes of superglue and tin foil.
You can solve the first case much easier with wood chopstick only
I have a jar of golf tees in the truck to whittle and drive into a screw hole for, most commonly, relocating a lock strike on a door that's stopped latching.
increible
Are you from georgia?
sadece ahşap içinmi bu yöntem diğer metaller yada betona uygulanabilirmi?
What glue do you use? More details please, brand of glue or name .... Thank you ...
Super Glue or Crazy Glue. The chemical name is cyanoacrylate

any substrate will work with crazy glue ,,, best use something fibrous instead of powder cause it add strength
Wood glue is better with sawdust for the last one
Peace & love
Non ho capito è semplice Attak o altro? Grazie a chi mi risponde 🙏
Fantastiche idee 💡👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 a costo zero👍🏻
Your cheap led lamp will no burn out even faster because with every led missing and shunted they will burn brighter. 😁
Just regular super glue
you can do this with cotton balls as well
👍
use iron powder instead ... anyways when working with wood use saw dust and resin
ma che tipo di colla è non lo dici è per caso l'Attak?
If only superglue was free...
Damit I got no foil. oh, I know let me stick a wooden dowel in. wow that was fast. 🤣🤣😋😛
What do you think, wood dowels grow on trees or something?
Aluminum only! But yeah, prob not the best repair advice out there, pretty sure sawdust and wood glue would be a stronger option in most cases
i prefer use Noodles..
the trick with the led bulb is very dangerous, you have mains voltage floating on the circuit. never attempt that.
Isn't there an adaptor in the bottom of the bulb?
I agree with do not do this but in general but the small LEDs run off of 12 or 24V and there is a small transformer and rectifier in the base of the bulb. Still using aluminum foil for a conducter can be risky if you don't pay close attention to what your doing with it. FYI or for those who want to argue, aluminum is a better conductor than copper but it also has a much lower melting temperature. The oxide layer that forms also is not conductive so overtime the foil will break down from flexing from changes in current and will become less conductive. As it becomes less conductive it generates more heat which could lead to it burning. Probably not dangerous in this application but still worth awareness.
@@Sadenshard There isn't any transformer, i.e. no galvanic insulation from mains. And there is no need for that as you are not supposed to access the inner part of the circuit. There is a step-down converter that lowers the rectified DC voltage to something more adapted to the led voltage, and led are current driven. You have a floating DC voltage referenced to mains. So all in all you still have some dangerously high voltage in regards to ground on the "secondary" side where the leds are, but again it's not insulated from mains...
@@Sadenshard FYI the conductivity of aluminium is about 61% of that of copper.
Definitely not Mains voltage at the LEDs...
NÃO ENTENDI A BOLA DE ALUMINIO DA CAPA DO VIDEO.

1:48 Doing that with the bulb, another led will burn out sooner or later. Only changing for another led same value as the others will the bulb last.
Also note in the bulb trick. The first two attempts were in the second outlet of the strip. And when he got it to light up, he pressed down on the bulb, and the used then first outlet on the light up, i.e. rigged outlet to make that part.
@@jarack3256 Bro, it would be harder to rig an outlet... Just damage one led intentionally and then glue some foil onto it.. It's not like the trick itself is fake foil would work for that.. So sure he might not actually have had a damaged bulb to start with but i highly doubt he faked the outlet.. to much work :P
watched the whole vidoeo, and i still dont konw what happens when you puit super glue on tinfoil O_o

Try super glue and baking soda...... That's what they use to repair dimples on aircraft...
3:35 really thats how u check to see if its tight n holds lol works for me 👍👍
Does this lead to a residue of Aluminum Cyanate? Toxicity depends on solubility in water, but most cyanates are. Am I producing sodium cyanate (or cyanide) when I combine super glue with baking soda? That stuff is not only water soluble, but its its a blood toxin. It kills red blood cells causing symptoms similar to amnemia. Too much of course is fatal. Too much being a tiny spec barely large enough to see.
When you need to fasten a washer to wood using an undersized screw.
Just poke another bit of wood in. Try half a dozen cocktail sticks
"Honey, what happened to the aluminum foil?"
Let's see. The foil + glue in an wood hole. Yeah, in the instances here, that's not going to have any strength at all. You'd be able to pull those out with a pair of pliers. The LED trick. Take note, first attempt second outlet. When he finds the "bad LED" he's pushing down on the bulb in the second socket. Third, he uses the first socket for the "it works" part. Even though you can see the foil covering an LED, meaning a different bulb.
🧐 nice catch. Have you ever watched the fake restoration videos? The painted and dirt patinas are hilarious
Also a replacement bulb is like $3
@@he-mansuncle7661 Yeah. I see those thumbnails now and I start laughing.

You may have noticed the smoke coming off the "wood powder". It can ignite!
Chemical reactions can generate heat but not enough to cause a fire

you can literally use anythig that will fill the hole...... toothpics. wood. papers. the super glue doesnt do anything
I prefer chlorine and brake fluid...
Use a wooden dowel
