I have a buddy that works for Nokta, and he's been asking me for some time to try the Legend. I finally said yes, and I'm glad I did. I've tried so many detectors over the years that I've been numb to new machines. I'm simple. I find a machine I like and usually stick with it for a while. It didn't take me long for this machine to impress me. This video is just me testing the machine out for the first time. I brought it to a very hunted out field that we call the Gold Coin field for good reasons. A Tavern used to sit where the iron patch is now. This place has been god to us, but lately we've found very little here. I wanted to give this machine a true test. Long story short. It passed my test, and you will be seeing it a lot more on the channel!!

  • I thought I smelled a new Legend in action! Lol. Way to put it though it’s paces Kurt. If you head north this winter I know some pretty handsome dudes that use this machine if you want to jump right in with us…. I mean them. 😉

    • Hey Kurt Congrats on the Copper and Buttons you found on a place you've hit so hard on. I've been doing that at some spots I hit really hard with the Equinox 700. I've used 4 different Detectors in these areas and the Equinox has found Coins and Relics the others have missed. I do have the Legend. This machine has flustered me even with all the success I've watched with other Detecorist. Watching you I'll give it another chance. Take Care

  • I enjoyed your review on the Nokta Legend!! I won mine in a "Detecting the Heartland" Facebook raffle. First time out I found 4 rings in a baseball field near my home. One was a 14K Opal ring. And the ability to collapse it to 15" is a game changer, as well. It's going to the DTH hunt this Spring of 2024!! Along with my Manticore!! The Legend is the real deal, in my opinion!!

  • I've been watching people metal detect for years here on KZhead and finally purchased my first last fall. It was the Nokta Makro simplex+. Love the sounds, it was easy to figure out with many options, and the price for a completely waterproof machine couldn't be beat. I'm sure that new top of the line detector from Nokta Makro is a dream.

She's much quieter around the black sand and the rusty iron pieces in the old waterways and it's not a leaker like a certain other detector are. • Don't forget the sub-menu in the recovery speed setting. go on recovery speed and press the pinpoint button, you will access to IF(iron filter, which is the same as Iron Bias on the Equinox), ST(stability), BC (bottle cap rejection) and GS(ground supressor). (The IF, ST and BC only work when on multi-frequency)

  • You did good for right out of the box. I got the Legend in May and really like it. Mostly hunted the beach and its great there. I got it because it has a reputation for not leaking in the water. I am getting ready to hit some hunted out spots with it to see if I can breathe some new life in them. Get the waterproof headphones and go overboard. I think you'll like it. Thanks!

  • I have the Legend and the Equinox 900 that I use. Both are good machines. I will take one of them to a new permission and the other to the same permission later. I alternate between the two and honestly, they are both about the same as far as depth and discrimination. Thing is, I paid less than $500 for the Legend vs $1100 for the 900. Hope you do more vids with the Legend. It is well worth the money.
