    • Thank you for sharing..I subbed. I use brown craft paper to wrap my boxes in and glue a doily around one side & tie with the natural twine..then I use those tiny laundry hanging pins to hang my ty card from! It's great for small items but I need more branding and better packaging for my larger items that take way too long to wrap! Gonna try ordering a stamp & make some stickers with my logo!👍🏼

  • Im only 11 years old, so find ways to package is really hard with barely any money. I am not trying to bug my mom and buy a whole bunch of stuff just to package with. sooo... I wrap my items (hand knitted by me) in tissue paper, and try to find a little bag normally like brown bags and put them in there like if I were wrapping a gift, now because I dont ship my items (I sell things to like people I know) I make them look pretty with adding a lot of tissue paper making it look like a gift, I then decorate the bag by coloring it or putting stickers on it, I then take it to school and get a couple bucks :)

  • Love this video!! Thanks! I’m 12 and I own a small biz (I crochet and make handmade stuff 😊) how I pack mine is, (I have 2 methods 🙈) the first one is: I make my own rubber stamps then stamp them on kraft paper then wrap the product and add a crochet rope around it! But another thing I do is: I wrap the product(s) in kraft paper then doodle on the package and add a small crochet rope ribbon 💜💜💜

      @Pedalpusher88@Pedalpusher883 жыл бұрын

    • I have a question and if I could get your opinion that would be awesome. I need to raise the price on an item by at least 20% ($45 to $55, if not more) and I'm wondering how customers might react to that? I originally priced the item way back when I was just starting out and didn't know anything about pricing. My etsy shop isn't enormously popular yet so I don't think I'm going to shock a bunch of people with the price hike but I'm wondering if you have any advice?

      @AudraT@AudraT3 жыл бұрын
    • If you have social media accounts, you can announce it ahead of time. Like, "starting January 2021 the price of this is going to increase to $xx. If you've been looking to buy, take advantage of 2020 pricing!" You can also put this in an email blast if you have a list.

      @baileyl5023@baileyl50233 жыл бұрын
    • If you are just starting I would suggest Etsy - it's a low financial commitment and there's built-in traffic so you can see how your products sell. As your business grows I would add in Shopify.

    • Etsy is a great way to start! The traffic is great for just starting out and the platform is easy to use, takes little time. I have an Etsy and a Shopify and shopify is a complete waste of money for me. I keep it just in case one day something changes. I put in lots of time promoting it and pinning it but there's basically zero results. I've had my Etsy shop for almost 6 years!

  • I have a question! If we're doing twine or some other type of exterior to make the packaging look really pretty and vintage, how do we make that work with the shipping label? I can't imagine putting the shipping label over the twine would be a good idea, but would it work if it was underneath it? I really want to go for the vintage vibe but since I'll be sending packages and can't use stamps, I'm not sure how to make the shipping label look good on it.

    @rebeccajewel9209@rebeccajewel92093 жыл бұрын
    • You can't have anything loose on the outside of the packaging, so if you are using twine you need to put that inside a plain box or envelope so it doesn't get caught in the machines.

  • My question is about packaging. Do the boxes with doillies, ribbons and ties not get subjected to rough handling and damage during shipping?

    @donnabashline4933@donnabashline49332 жыл бұрын
    • All of these things would be for inner packaging. It's kind of like sending a birthday gift - you would wrap it and then put it in an outer box or envelope to protect the gift. Doilies, ribbon, and ties go INSIDE and plain outer packaging to protect it from the shipping process.

  • Hello I watched another video one said why you should use shopify. One says how you were able to get on etsy. How were you able to get back on etsy? Does shopify use their own way to drive traffic to your site? I started a wordpress site and was just wondering

    @linhle777@linhle7773 жыл бұрын
    • Hi Linh! I have used Etsy consistently for over a decade. I use it and Shopify both. Shopify doesn't have it's own traffic - you need to bring that traffic in yourself, just like with your Wordpress site.

  • I'm curious - is a crinkler machine common in USA? I'm in Australia, and looking everywhere and no such thing seems to exist?!

    @krystalTiger@krystalTiger Жыл бұрын
    • Hi! Have you already tried looking at Etsy or Amazon Australia? You can also try using "paper crimper" or "paper crimper machine" or "paper crinkler", etc. in your search. Hope you find one soon!
