  • It’s really cool seeing how efficient he is with his positioning directly after getting the takedown. If you watch carefully, you can see how he uses his right shoulder to hold down his opponents’ chest while he uses the rest of his body to move toward mount. He doesn’t even allow them to lift their upper back off the mat.

I only say this because I've been around Fighters for a long time. This guy has skills for sure. We'll find out soon if he can beat the best-of-the-best, but he can definitely hang and has earned those chances. This fight was four years ago at least, and he's only gotten better. I believe he'll be a champ within the next year or two at most. Possibly the next champ champ. I don't believe he can beat Kamaru Usman yet, bc Usman can wrestle too, but he believes he can and that will take him far. I do think he could beat Adesanya today tho bc Israel's weakness is wrestling and opponents with great top-ground control. 👊🥋

    • @@danishirfan6441 khamzat's wrestling is superb and his top pressure is amazing. He has real chance to be champ champ. I'm just not sure yet if he would be able to hold down someone like kamaru or Colby or Robert Whittaker at 185. The top five guys in both divisions are on another level then Jack hermansson as far as being completely well-rounded. I do think he would probably beat Israel though. Using BJJ against a wrestler you have to look for chokes or leg locks typical openings when grappling with a wrestler. But khamzat is more than just a wrestler, he absolutely has submissions and strikes. I think he can likely beat Burns in the standing area and can out wrestle him and I don't see him getting submitted very easy, at least not if he is in the top position and burns on his back, but I don't think he would be able to submit Burns either, not without a lot of ground and pound. We haven't seen khamzat's full arsenal yet so it's a little too early to tell how his skills match up against the top five. Time will tell. But I do think there are some favorable matchups for him that will allow him to beat some of those guys today, and he's only getting better
