Stevie Nicks was a writer way beyond her years. She wrote many of these timeless songs when she was 19 like Landslide. Songwriters can write their whole lives and never get close to how profound many of their songs are. Had her finger on the pulse of humanity at a young age.
LiveToThink Authentic then, now & always!
Love Stevie Nicks & Kim Carnes. Who remembers her
Landslide has to be one of the greatest songs EVER!!!
What an artist, beautiful
This song could be played 100 years from now and still sound otherworldly
I can't believe that this is what they sounded live. Super clean and crisp. From the harmonies to the instruments, everything was just perfect. This was the golden age of music.
c’est si vrai ! 👍🏻
I think some of those harmonies were added in post production, but still, an amazing band.
You should hear the live version of The Chain from the 70's. Mind blowing.
keep up lady, times are changing ...
Puedes creertelo. Equilibrio perfecto , voz e instrumentos . Yeah
Stevie & Fleetwood Mac are getting re-discovered! I’m here for it
Rumours of Fleetwood Mac is a cover band with a great singer who gets close to Stevie's early style.
The greatest thing that Nathan did was expose all the young kids to this wonderful, classic music.

True that! I was born in 80 and had never really heard this jam!
I know everyone is commenting about the guy that lead them here, but this has actually given me an opportunity to be introduced to this group's absolutely breathtaking music. The 70s can never compare to any other decade...
This comment is underrated.
One word or number if you will 80s but good comment I agree 80s and 70s were great times for music
I whole heartedly agree. Frankly any music made from the 70-90's is easily better than any song now
Yup. Consumerism takes over everything.
One of the greatest bands of all time so many hit songs!
No vocal gimmicks just pure talent
What a song....Stevie's voice is just perfection....the band is just sailing with her during the entire song...Perfect!
❤
La banda está navegando con ella durante toda la canción... ¡Perfecto!
The way Stevie Nicks sings this song almost brings tears to my eyes. It's so beautiful.

I generally hate TikTok, but doggface's skateboard video actually managed to get this song to rechart in the US at #21 with the potential to rise in the coming weeks So thanks TikTok for introducing people to this classic

I love the simplicity of this song. The bass line can go for eternity and the guitar just teases you at all the right moments. Pure emotion. Sometimes less is more
Yep. As first I was really astonished that this song essentially only had two chords. Shows what great musicians can do!
I agree wholeheartedly
@@benjamingruder4875 Yes! The entire song consists of two versions of the F chord and the G chord. The verses are F- and G-major; the chorus is F-major7 to G-major (and a few variations of G-major, like G5, etc.) But it's so awesomely arranged. I've been hearing it since I was a kid when it first came out on the radio. And, I've played keyboards in a rock band over ten years (although I never attempted this song until today). Even after all that, I was shocked a few years ago to hear someone say it was just two chords. I can learn songs fast; on the fly, on stage. But this song tricked me all these decades! It still blows my mind that I could never hear that it was only F and G. But after sitting at my keyboard with it today, yes that's all. This is the probably the most craftily-arranged song of the 20th century. BTW, the only good thing about the extended India lockdown for me is I got to spend two hours with this song today.

Only in Fleetwood Mac could a lead singer write a breakup song about her guitarist, and get him to play and sing it with her on stage. Those are artists, truly dedicated to their music.
At about 2:22 the rhythm section does that tasty bit, I love it when Lindsey looks back at them and smiles. Moments like that between musicians quietly acknowledging each others greatness is so cool. I agree. The drums and bass are absolutely essential to lay down the foundation(or rhythm) of great music. The rhythm section is the structure that the song is built.
I call. you answer simple. It's great when rehearsed but magic when it comes out organically. Makes the music more intimate, personable, and human
Fully agree, drum and bass are so silky smooth and harmonic, setting the soothing atmosphere and at times lashing out in grandure too (The Chain comes to mind)

Is anyone going to mention that this is the OFFICIAL music video? No lip sync, voice over a music track, fast cuts or editing room tricks. Vocals and instrumentals at the SAME TIME! That's old skool, Baby!
raw talent
You do know the music is not from the live performance but overlaid, right?
Not sure what you're pointing out here. This is not the studio track or the radio edit we always hear.
That's how music should always be
This song’s ratings went up like never before - skateboard 🛹 dude should get an award 🥇 or make him blow up . He was a champ and sooo humble I hope it rains on him for the good 👟🛹
No
@@Generalphi1 no for what !
@@lizzateeple1587 bc the song is good without him he didn't make it all he did was ride a skateboard
@@Generalphi1 I get that . But nobody made it seem or look tht good in lockdown.Did you ? It’s trending Globally. Let’s not look down on him .. when someone wins in life little achievements... Let’s rather clap 👏 hands . And not be negative 👎.
@@lizzateeple1587 I'm not saying he didn't do anything bc he did I'm just say he should earn a reward
My father loved the 70‘s and everything that came with it. He always had soft rock stations playing during the day when i was little. Anything Fleetwood Mac that came on he would say “ohhhh!! Stevie!!“ and tap his foot. This song came on in the car after i hugged and kissed him for the last time.
Wow Tiffany. Are you saying your dad is gone now?
.
Damn.
and now here we are. your papa should have tapped something else.
in the stillness of remembering of what you had and what you lost. thanks for sharing.
Chills are rising when I listen to her voice
Lyrics Now here you go again You say you want your freedom Well, who am I to keep you down? It's only right that you should Play the way you feel it But listen carefully To the sound of your loneliness Like a heartbeat drives you mad In the stillness of remembering what you had And what you lost And what you had And what you lost Oh, thunder only happens when it's rainin' Players only love you when they're playin' Say women, they will come and they will go When the rain washes you clean, you'll know You'll know Now here I go again I see the crystal visions I keep my visions to myself It's only me who wants to wrap around your dreams And have you any dreams you'd like to sell? Dreams of loneliness Like a heartbeat drives you mad In the stillness of remembering what you had And what you lost And what you had Ooh, what you lost Thunder only happens when it's rainin' Players only love you when they're playin' Women, they will come and they will go When the rain washes you clean, you'll know Oh, thunder only happens when it's rainin' Players only love you when they're playin' Say women, they will come and they will go When the rain washes you clean, you'll know You'll know You will know Oh, you'll know

I don't need words. I know every song in my heart
I absolutely love this song, and thanks for the lyrics. I had this on repeat tonight.
If he don't want you...oh let him go.....queen Ms freda
My son is 16 and he loves classics such as this. He has great taste. I'm proud.
My Son at 14 is the same. Taking him to see the great Paul McCartney touring Australia this November. So wonderful that the kids appreciate these timeless artists.
He does have great taste. They don’t make them like this anymore.
Im 15 and this is my Favorite song
@@1tskai531 You have really good taste my friend. I like your choices. If you have any more suggestions I'll be more than happy to talk to you my friend
Fleetwood Mac and Abba have been my 15 year old daughters two favorite band for the past couple of years. I bought her "Fleetwood Mac" and "Rumors" on vinyl for her last Christmas. This year it will be "Tusk", "Mirage" and Stevie's "Bella Donna"
Who is here in 2024? I will ALWAYS love this song,it's a whole vibe!
Wrote this masterpiece in 10 minutes amazing Lady ❤
I still can’t believe how many people weren’t jamming to this before skateboard guy did.
My thoughts exactly. I’m 32 and I’ve known this song my whole life.
@@JP-sh8sm So is skateboard guy
so many good songs this generation missed.
can you believe in 40 years it will be the same thing but except with lil pump and lil mosey 😂
Surprisingly quite a few of my friends and myself listen to Fleetwood Mac, and we're all in 20's. It really depends what your parents listened to growing up imo.
There is something special about the music from the 60's, 70's and 80's.
Yes, it was a time when music most of all was considered an art, not solely big business.
ottosaxo but they were good songs back the.
It was the cocaina my dude
I'm 33 and this music still hits hard.
I KNOW RIGHT
Love can't be faked. Love can't be programmed in AI. Love never fails.
They don’t make music like this anymore. I seriously can’t tell anyone from anyone anymore
This is the most haunting, addicting melody I've ever, ever heard and I'm 66 years old. Truly a timeless song.
54 here. Incredible song.
I'm 52 now and I remember back in the day when my older brother bought this album and played it non-stop. Timeless music for sure.
I love this song im 73 sounds good 👍
66 here 2
46 yr old here... God BLESS U and STAY SAFE... And we have great taste in music 🎶!!
Much love and respect to Nathan Apodaca. His good vibes, skateboard, and cran raspberry juice brought us together to this wonderful song, familiar to many and new to the mostly young but celebrated by all who are touched by Nathan’s spirit.
Not from my generation but I’m grateful to hear good music is still alive 🏆🔥
How can good music “die” if it’s right here in front of us?
@@KittyGrizGriz - because nobody's making it or promoting it anymore. Do you have to be so literal?
@@chrisrj9871 👌You need to search good music out nowadays, I just left Nashville, TN (vacation) and was “literally”~your word” dancing along the sidewalks as live music was coming out of every restaurant~club downtown. It was a total blast if you’ve never been before?!💃🎶
Right here with you 👍🏽
When I was in 3rd year undergrad, I got a job on a fishing boat for the summer. It was 18 days open season and 14 days closed. So when it was open we 'highballed' which meant about an 18 hour day. When open, we'd drop the line all day and then pick up line that we had laid, store the fish and clean up. When we cleaned up, the skipper would shut off the engine and we, and the fleet, would bob around in the North Pacific swell off the coast of Alaska and sharpen hooks and put lines away. The skipper would put on the radio, and from 1000 miles away, and every night at about the same time, we would hear this song play. Because of the atmospherics, it would fade in and out while we were under the stars and watching the lights of other boats, also in the fleet, drifting in the current and appearing and disappearing in the swell. I don't know if I have ever experienced anything more magical.
This was the first Fleetwood Mac song I heard. Stevie’s voice mesmerized me. One of my first crushes. Then I was hooked. Oh and Mick Fleetwood is a hugely underrated drummer. On every FM song, his drumming fits the emotion. And his fills are exquisite.
Is this Stevie nicks singing ?
Turns me to mush...
@@monstercarlos2023 Yep
he is just great on the drums, my husband is a drummer too and he says that too!!!!!
I agree wholeheartedly 👏👏
This song ruling the Charts again is the best thing that has happened in 2020. I’m really glad that new generations get to know this music. It’s a brilliant ageless record.
Awesome
Hell ya!!!! 👍. Fleetwood Mack is the only ..... from 2020!
I was 14 years old back in the day. 1977
I just made my very first cover of this LEGENDARY song and it would mean the world to me if y'all checked it out
Yup! Today’s music is garbage
Timeless! I will listen to FM til my dying day. The voices of Stevie, Lindsey and Christie will always have a place in my life.
I agree
Totally agree. Pure bliss
ONE OF THE GREATEST BANDS EVER, I DON'T THINK THEY KNEW HOW GOOD THEY WERE
Fleetwood Mac is timeless and their music will be heard and enjoyed for generations to come.
Agreed
