this advice is more relevant to college rather than high school. not every high school teacher uses a syllabus!
Where's the template
Yeah I was so confused. My teachers are not giving me anything close to that setup!
Hi Gohar. Thats not necessarily true, all my teachers give a syllabus

I like how the assignment’s late even though it’s due date is 2049 😂
I noticed too
Teacher already knew he was gonna give it in late
I knew that
Read your bible! (KJV, preferably) ♥ .
I love how it said "you fr, you submitted late " lol
A lot of my high school teachers didn’t mind if you submitted late as long as you asked for an extension a few days prior. But you can definitely tell which ones are willing to do that and who won’t, so be careful.
Man my teachers don’t care either way. Just shoot ‘em an email afterwards saying “Hey I got that thing from a couple weeks ago turned in. Thanks, bye.”
My teachers are thankful we even turned it in. At the end of the semester our teachers were begging us to turn in some stuff from the beginning of the year for full credit

The number of times my teachers or professors changed due dates just cause they felt like it is in the tens of thousands.
And that is why my 7th ELA teacher says it will overwhelm me. I don’t know why. 🤷♂️

This guy deserves all credit toward my education. This is helpful to me because all 7 of my teachers gave me a syllabus
I’m still in middle school but thanks for your tips now I’m prepared for the future 😃
middle school is a great place to start doing these, since most middle schools are a preview of hs

As a sophomore, I have yet to have a teacher hand me a syllabus with due dates on it. If you have recurring assignments that happen weekly and are due on the same date, put those into google and tell it to repeat those weekly on the same day. For everything else, just record it in a calendar, and try and get a feel for what tachers will and wont accept things slightly late ASAP. If you have to choose between finishing one or the other so you can sleep the night before a test, you will appreciate yourself picking up on this sooner rather than later.
I actually do something similar. I go ahead a go through my planner and put in any exam/big project due dates in. Anything besides that I just go in every Sunday and plan out all the assignments that are due that week or how I am gonna study for a test. It helps me prepare for the upcoming week and also refreshes my mind on what I am supposed to do
We don’t get anything like this, what magic thing is that?
What's a syllabus is it like a magic spellbook for turning people into syllables
Read your bible! (KJV, preferably) ♥ .
Bro i started doing this in my AP Physics class and i have been soaring since, went from 85 to a 93!!
As all teachers say when a student turns in a late assignment: fr?
Definitely will do! This seems really helpful for me who always lose track of assignments
but my teachers syllabus dont have dates on it 🙂
Same, none of mine do
It's more common in college. In fact, I don't think I've seen a college syllabus without due dates on it. I only had one high school teacher put test dates on the syllabus. In high school, I would reccomend writing down dates in a calendar as soon as the teacher gives them.
Thanks, Gohar for helping me so much.
I'm starting grade 10 next year and you have helped me so much with studying and just supplies i need and so much more! Thank you😁
You can also use a planner if your school hands them out, it’s like this but a little more simpler
i wish high school teachers did this
Me in high school My teachers: due date is day after tomorrow 🤣
Something that I have always done is to note the dates down a couple of days earlier than it was actually due so that way meant that I was never late for an assignment, it has helped with staying really organised.
My brother taught a very easy way to keep track of your assignments. Excel. Just open a work page and literally put columns with the date, class, and assignment titles. Hands down the best and most important tip to turn in assignments on time. My brother has a PhD in business and is a professor of finance n Tennesse.
Even tho I'm still grade 5 this channel will really be helpful when I grow up thank you
This is great when teachers stick to the syllabus. Many don't.
Ive been doing highschool on online and due dates are the only way I’m surviving Knowing when you can take a break for your brain to catch up is the most important thing
*"Due July 18, 2049 at 11:59pm"*
“You fr? You handed this in late” Me: dies of laughter
Thanks for the tip! I constantly forget to check my evidence worksheet so this will definitely help
it doesn’t seem like it loops, but it loops really well and makes so much sense
In middle, the school gives you a planner and each week you write down everything for that week
Me who's never even heard of a dated syllabus: awesome, I'll 100% do this Why haven't I ever gotten a dated syllabus?-
Its for college so we gotta do the old fashion way. Actually listen in class to know the due dates
Me doing home schooling, in Australia where we don’t get this stuff but still notes down when my assignments are due and hands them in on time always: *I am two universes ahead of you*
I usually put the dates a day or two before the actual due date, or sometimes more depending on how big the project is. That way if I’m late on my spread sheet I’m still handing the assignment in on time.
PoV: you’ve never gotten a syllabus with due dates.
Oh nah not the canvas assignment submission💀
School starts tomorrow for me so I appreciate you and the KZhead algorithm for helping me out!
Sameeee
You know it’s due late when it says 2049
this is VERY useful. Never thought about doing this once. Will try to do this on my next semester.
When I saw that signature blue Canvas submit button I nearly died
Actually this reminded me to get my mom to sign the chrome book policy and to find my sketch book- Thanks-

Thanks, I've never gotten any due dates on a syllabus ever so this will be very helpful
Just started freshman year today and I already have two syllabi💪😎
Bro I remembered about you at just the right time
Moodle actually has a way to do this with ease! In the settings of your calendar types, you have the option to load your due dates directly from the moodle calendar!
I do this on a smaller scale! When it's assigned I write in a little notebook the name and when it's due. Then I cross it off as I complete them
I thought he was going to say he's the only one in the class 😂
One trick, put every date of a day before, so that atleast you have one day to complete your assignment
I really need to remember this trick
them: preparing syllabus in computer me: as soon as touch computer goes to youtube...
This man is a genius thank you, I just failed my last test and this is definitely gonna help thanks
not the canvas 💀😭😭😭
My teachers who don't give us a syllabus: hm interesting
Bro did this when it was summer break respect
In our school, some days before the exam, they give a syllabus, in which not to keep track of the date, but kind of similar, it tells you what chapters will come in the exam and it varies from 2-5
You could also ask each lecturer about the due dates and put them into Google calendar and review it every morning.
This dude is literally giving us cheat codes to life
It’s not that “I care enough” it’s that it gives me anxiety not knowing when is the due date for every single assignment
I try to do this with all the assignments I get without having a syllabus, but my teachers change the dates so often I just can’t keep track. At least they only push stuff back
I just print regular monthly calendar pages for the school year, take my syllabi and color code ea. class. Then I fill in the calendar dates. That way I have a visual planner complete with holidays, other activities vs. just having a list of assignment dates.
It would be great if we were given a syllabus of every subject at the start of the year.
Bruh my teachers just make up assignments on the spot and we aint got shit like syllabus with due dates on them in india lol
My first day of High School is in five days. If they give me a syllabus, this is gonna be the first thing I do.
my teacher decided to give me a 0 because my work was “missing” but i clearly remember i turned it in. So im sure he lost it. Idk why teachers do this but they blame the students for loosing the paper or they blame the students for their mistakes
Ngl portfolios are overlooked. (Submitting all homework and notes and labs online for a grade boost)
Thank you,verry helpful
If you’re lucky enough, your teachers will use Google Classroom. All of your assignments with due dates will show up there. If you turn notifications on, it will let you know when something is coming up on Google Calendar because it impute it automatically.
This is actually a really good tip; when I start a new course at uni, the first thing I do is read the entire syllabus
This guy is so helpful
Don’t live in the US, this was very helpful.
My school litteraly gives out the syllabus 2 days before an exam no joke
True dat. The syllabus is extremely helpful
Bruh sometimes our teacher asks us if it’s okay to put the exam next week. They just don’t plan anything before
I got you another advice, if you’re one of those person that has problems with due dates and is always working on the last minute, instead putting the same due dates on the calendar, put the dates one or even two days earlier
Bro acts like we only have 1 class 😭
"You fr?" Me:hold on what
Da king is back baby he neva miss
Can you give us recommendations on what websites saves your charts and calendars so it can be easy. And also a ways to keep your notes organized by each lesson or unit. ☺️ thx
My school here in Australia, they give you the due date 2 weeks before as a notice
Apparently teachers appreciate when you ask for extensions because it shows you care enough about their class.
This guy is so helpful cause just one year I will be on Highschool 😃
I am on late middle school and this helps me so much
My teachers always gave out a syllabus... Following the dates written on the damn thing is another matter entirely, however. It's so annoying because they keep changing the submission dates, so you constantly have to be alert and on guard because they can just screw you over without you being able to do anything about it. 😢
Bro is sweating school
I just love how the assignments late but the due date is 2049 😂😂😂😂😂
my school who gives syllabus 1 week before exam
I wish the teachers cared enough to do this instead of just saying "I deduct points for late work"
I wish they put that on the syllabus
Quick hint! Read your syllabus online before the first day! I've had a few professors hide an extra credit thing at the end that if you say a phrase to them the first class, they'll give you it at the end of the year!
The late thing gotta be even personal 😰
Due to procrastination problems, I developed an app that does exactly this, and puts them in an order depending on priority/points. So convenient!
It's the no due dates and the schedule always changing for me
Here in Australia assignments are different per the school and our general syllabus is all online. It doesn’t tell us everything we are learning just the broad entirety
Thx!❤
I love how my past math teacher had some dates assigned and they weren't accurate at all. They even had differences in WEEKS between the date she said in the syllabus and the actual date.
Ik ik this a year late but you have fr saved my ass
