My great grandmother used to do that to babies when I was a kid. It worked like a charm for her.

Yes! I did it to my children when they were small and restless and they went to sleep . I then put them in their crib. They grown up to be healthy young adults. Just make sure your hands are clean and soft.

I did this with my daughter 20 years ago, except it was on the bridge of her nose and we did it constantly, with our any breaks and within 5 mins or so, se was asleep. It works guys!!

Every infant has a secret way to fall asleep fast. You just have to be observant. My daughter’s was very light gentle kisses at the right corner of her mouth. Worked every time. One time, babysitter called and said she just couldn’t get her to take her nap, told her how to do it and she called back a few minutes later and was like oh my god!

My dad use to do this to me when I would have nightmares around 5 and 6.

Very sweet, but IMO, nothing like holding the baby and rocking him to sleep. Or pat the baby down gently on his back. That allows for more closeness between the baby and parent.
