FIVE ESSENTIAL REPEATING GUITAR LICKS for ROCK and BLUES.
Trying to stay away from the cliche licks whilst using the pentatonic is NOT easy. Hopefully with these five licks, you will be able to move just a little away from those said licks. Although demonstrated with a pretty fast feel to these they can be played well and be just as effective at most tempos. With that in mind you could used them over most genre types. Have fun and get stuck in.

Great licks, Danny! For anyone thinking they're taking on too much? I'm 74 with serious arthritis & I'm mainly a keyboard player who dabbles seriously on guitar, daily, so don't be afraid to dive in & commit, Guys! Repetition is the mother of mastery! I'll keep going till I kick the breathing habit! 🤣👍🏻
Thank you for all your awesome tutorials!
These are some very cool licks Danny. I think they will sound unique to the listener which is always my aim. Thanks for this.
Thank you. Thank you for constantly doing these
Been looking for one like this...very nice
Excellent.. pleased you’ve found this..
was never brave enough to do solos thinking all these are too difficult thank you for this i think i can do it
It the whole thing is daunting, try and take smaller licks out from the main one. It helps in building the confidence

Straight to the point…. Thanx man ! 👍🇨🇦
I'm here for the Les Paul. I have a 78 Deluxe "Black Beauty" with no pickguard and P90's. Love that guitar...

Great VIDEO! Perfect fr someone still learning lead guitar. (me) Subscribed! Hey! That's my guitar in the background. No not that one, the little red one. Gotta git me one of those amps.
Thanks for watching. It’s always good to brush up on old skills and keep the licks fresh in the mind. Lots more to come.
This is waaay coool! 😎 so glad I stumbled upon this video Danny!
Awesome! Thank you!
Nice vid. Led me to your home page where it looks like lots more. Will stick with you as a new sub.
Thanks for the sub!
Thanks for the lesson! Looks like the headstock broke once or twice, nice guitar though and tone.
All good stuff right there bro ! Waiting to see if you do the Jimmy Page lick, 😂
Probably got one in there somewhere, of sorts!
The first lick is in Mr crowley just few frets higher. Good Bluesy lick for practicing and warming up.
Pentatonic standard that never gets old. 👍🏼
Great licks, like all talented musicians you make it look easy. Great sound too ..what amp setting do you use?
Thanks.. I usually set everything to pretty much 12 o'clock and adjust a little either side of that. But that's it really.
I love blues ❤❤❤❤
Where it all started.
😊
🙏
Danny, could u say how did u learn to play especially what if it wasnt the licks u showed what were u playing to learn to play?
Hi, I learnt most of what I know through jamming with others and learning licks from those I was playing with. I would ask my teachers to show me how to play parts of solos or a particular lick. My last teacher, a guy called Dave Kilminster (who now plays for Roger Waters) said to learn at least one new lick every week to place in the lick vocabulary of your mind, from that you will build some killer solos or phases. The theory side of things came much later, as to be honest, I had zero interest in the theory and only to try to play like my hero’s of the guitar world. Still working on all aspects and it never gets boring.
That second lick is killing me. I can’t find the rhythm up at full speed.
Repetition brother.
🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸
U explained lick 1 and 3 different but the fast version is the same 😅
Ah.....I will blame my editor!
Am I the only person who is struggling with that first lick... WTH 2 weeks trying to get that down
That’s totally normal
Work it very slow and make sure you always pick the loop the same way.
hey are u related to Jimmy Page?
Vox wah wah
Hey! You had long hair like I got . 😎😎😎😎
Yep I did. It needed a bloody good cut though!! So I got a shorter than anticipated cut!
Also how to play like Ace Frehley
I recognize that first lick.
