*Thank you, I am amazed watching these wonderful moments*
Interesting that 'wood dowel' construction is coming back into style. I am a furniture maker, so it is old news to me. As for the stacked block houses, mine is made with wood fiber and cement. Huge insulation and sound dampening qualities. My walls are 1 foot thick. Just about any fiber can be used.
We have lots of Douglas Fir around me. It can support a lot of weight, but I don't know if I would want do do any sky scrapers with it though.
In carpentry we use pegs not dowels.Pegs are split(i.e. continuous grain),tapered and octagonal and not produced on a lathe. The principles and techniques of joinery rarely apply to carpentry :-)
And what is a peg, other than a big dowel. They are used for exactly the same purpose, no matter if you are timber framing or making furniture.
Completely wrong I'm afriaid.Try reading what I actually wrote.A peg is split from a billet,,tapered and octagonal-ish so the grain is continuous i.e. max possible strength, even if not straight. They are then trimmed to size, usually with a drawknife or axe .Dowels are turned on a lathe,of uniform section i.e. not tapered and round so strength is far from guaranteed.@@robohippy
but at $135? I could get a box of 2000 stainless coil nails for $100
“Even individuals in wheelchairs can comfortably enjoy the WALK”? Sick!!!
"Even people in wheelchairs can enjoy the walk" , 😊😊
locked after one month! Thank you, I'm so surprised to see these wonderful moments😦😦😦😯😯
Great invention
I'll check back in 20 years and see how many of these "innovations" have worked.
Haha it won't take that long to find out ;-)
I show these to my grandma when she falls asleep, better than coffee
a place for termites to live in also, awesome eco friendly house
Those wooden houses are far stronger than ones that use metal nails. Wood nails and basically dowels and they expand to create a very strong joint. Also, the dovetail joins are even better. Metal nails and the worst.
I'm wondering how some of these will last in sandy loam soil. We have to replace fencing that the sand wears away.
LOTS of really Good ideas, no matter what the others write! :-) its GOTTA get Better ALL the time!! And we're all sure tryin' ...
Who the heck uses "aluminum" nails? Nails are steel. While these wooden nails are essentially equivalent to dowels, they don't have the shear strength of metal. So applications are constrained.
If you are using wood as structural members for anything over 3 stories, you better put in a sprinkler system.
Imagine how many trees it took to build
Yes, that's why plastics became so big, a tree alternative that sits in the ocean for a thousand years 😅😅
Some people don't know how to recycle ♻️
That's why planting trees is important. We can utilize land normally used to grow monocultured annuals for ethanol and livestock feed: Switch to biome-appropriate perennials, trees, vines and shrubs for food and livestock feed instead. The latter means soil creation instead of depletion, recharging of aquifers and watertables, less downstream flooding and wildfires, less water usage, less operational cost and use of fossil fuels, as well as more useful material, localized resiliency, better nutrition for people and livestock, etc.
0:15 aluminum nails are NOT allowed in home or commercial construction, because they FAIL so comparing the wood nails to them is another fail I also see they do not have a head on them so boards can pull off of the ends. 2:02 Brickawood is just dovetailed boards, vapor barrier is required, the boards that were shown will NOT last long term. 6:55 problem with that product is it depends on having STRAIGHT lumber. 10:07 ok what chemicals are in the product to make a wood product non flammable. 12:48 how could it be AIR TIGHT if it allows vapor through, vapor is LARGER than air, air molecules are much smaller than any vapor molecules
Tho 128 that toy he had to go places....super interesting....can't lie
Termites will be happy with the wood nails
Not with the rest of the wall... Just with the nails.
How many forest trees wil go for this type of the usage.😢😢😢😢😢
Hi nice but where do I buy those blue coloured joints
Where is the blue steel thing from the thumbnail?
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Yes yes yes
these wood houses and building make for a great bonfire !
When’s the next vid from you guys?
❤
$135 bucks for a 1,000. wood nails , I will stick with steel nails.
😮😮😮😮😮
Okay so if the nails of the Lignoloc cost $135 what is the 'special' nail gun worth??????
the price of the coil nailer doesnt really matter since you will put hundreds of thousands of nails through it im guessing this is priced in usd so i dont exactly not the price of a competing product
@@ImACookieTasteMe Im glad you have faith in new technology because it ALWAYS performs and last so well. So, let me know how your pneumatic wooden nailer works out after you put 'hundreds of thousands' of nails through it. lolololoolololololololol
"People in wheelchairs can enjoy the walk" How TF did this get past editing?
Are you assuming that some effort went into producing this compilation of adverts for garbage? :-)
Europe has all the cool products. While the States still use basic studs and nails…
The log home supplier you featured, best check the data. Was stated a 150 sq ft home took 6 months. That is 10 x 15 and a couple of carpenters can easily finish that in a week and start to turn key ready a month!
He said 150 square METERS not feet. Still not huge but not 10 x15
It is square metres not feet. Not that I'm defending their nonsense :-)
@@chippysteve4524 I was being fesitios with a statement of feet given a 150merter house, at least in my Community, from ground breaking to move in takes Max 3 month if stick built and 2 if prefab of which 30 days is for the concrete foundation to cure.
Those Log Homes are extremely wasteful of our precious timber resources.
Wood grows on trees !
@@Goodwithwood69 Not as fast as humans grow in uteruses, taking up space that trees used to grow in.
Your last comment was confusing, if you’re in a wheelchair how can you walk ?
Why not innovate bricks and building material from waste plastic and waste tyres and reduce the use of wood that makes the jungles go away and hamrs the environment...why is the wood so much encouraged when everyone knows jungles are ecofriendly
I can not purchase these products because youtube will not let me watch your videos.
Music is highly annoying.
Yeah why do I suddenly feel the need to buy sanitary products and go horseriding ?
Really? Why is it any different from stick built homes?
