    • 100-180 km after 0 mileage left????, where did you read that I find that just impossible, I believe cars normally have something less than 30 km, just to give you time to find a gas station

  • Its crazy, cause When I watched pt, I told myself you needed to double that amount of gas that you calculated.. man when youre going on a trip like this, out in the middle of nowhere and all you have is yourself, it pays to double what you logically calculate bc so many variables can pop up. Variables that we'll never think about when planning the trip. When it comes to water and fuel on a trip like this, being a bit overstocked can never hurt imo. But im glad you were able to find a gas station. Imagine doing this is south America.. small towns are way less developed and gas stations are can be rare. Keep that in mind for your future trips. Great video, and great experience tho! Happy holidays fellas!

      @HoglundOverland@HoglundOverland3 жыл бұрын
    • @@HoglundOverland you guys did great. Dont be to hard on yourselves. There will always be variables you cant account for. The good thing about it happening in that butt clenching suspenseful way is that now itll always be in the back of your minds and i doubt youll ever be short of fuel and water on any future trips lol. You guys did great brother! All part of learning, keep up the great work

    • @@HoglundOverland Would it have been realistic for Matteo to carry 45-50 gallons of extra fuel? That doesn't seem realistic. I think you guys did great. going out of your way to get gas once on a trip like that doesn't seem unreasonable. Plus, the fuel "crisis" added some drama to the series! :D

The one prior with the Arctic series seemed like they were thrown off b/c they headed into Canada literally right before the pandemic shutdowns. • Hey brotha love the videos series and your Tacoma! I was curious if you think a Tundra would be able to do these trails? I’m looking to get a truck and am stuck between the Tundra and Tacoma, I love the Tacoma and have always wanted one but the v8 in Tundra is tempting. I’m just worried about it being too big to do off-road trails.

    @Ericwinn15@Ericwinn153 жыл бұрын
    • A tundra would be perfect for the pony express. Just make sure you take the right amount of gas if you plan to make it the entire way
