Watch Part 1: • How to Start a Farm Bu...
If you want to start a farm business, you may be wondering what step to take first. Well, you’re in good company, because thousands of people are making the leap to start making millions today. And, the good news is that you don’t need a lot of experience or a huge cash investment. In fact, you can learn how to start a farm from scratch with no money and no business degree!
The Lukens family started their farm business back in 1999 with just two goats, and they’re the ideal example of how successful farming can change your life.
With all-natural products on the shelves of popular stores like Whole Foods, the possibilities are endless. Starting a farm has never been such a lucrative endeavor, so it’s a perfect time to learn everything you can about this rapidly growing industry.
In this part 2 episode, you will discover exactly what you need to begin right away, so that your dream of being your own boss and doing what you love can become a reality.
You’ll learn how to set up a proper business strategy, find real estate, handle the day-to-day activities of farm life, and much more. The best part is that you’ll be hearing expert tips from a family who has been there - done that. You can’t get more real than hearing their first-hand experiences as they set out on their journey!

  • I love this series that you've done, it's so encouraging to see a family run a business together and be successful in all the ways. It's great how honest and candor they were about the low times as much as the high times and did not try to sugarcoat the trials that they endured it's that kind of information and openness that will help others grow and learn from their mistakes. What they're doing is a dream of mine that's been on my heart for many years and this encourages me to have faith and step forward with these ideas. The best thing about this family is that they are obviously a God-fearing family and they love Jesus and and acknowledge their many blessings. Praise God for this couple and for others like them, and thank you for providing these very inspiring and informational videos to us I look forward to watching more of your content.

  • Just some advice, the best thing to do to maximize profits is to make a better quality product than others in that same field while selling for slightly less. This would bring in more customers than your competition, even though you make less per item in the long run you will make more money with the increase of customers. A customer's primary concern is can I afford this on a regular basis, then their mind goes to quality, quality is number 2 price is number 1 on people's minds.

  • So 120k - 80k/month (trying to keep the lights on) = 40k/month. Still seems like a great operation.

  • Loved these 2 episodes... BUT, I do wish creators on KZhead would tell the "full story". To push a mini series like this claiming they "make $120k a month" is a bit misleading to 90% of viewers. Being in business for myself, I can tell you grossing $120k a month, or hell, even $200k a month doesn't mean anything.... your NET is what matters. Making $120k/mo doesn't sound too appealing if you overhead/expenses are $110k or $115k/mo. I wish they talked more about financials. The equipment, utilities, payroll, etc... dive deeper into what it costs to run a farm like this, and what they are taking home a month, and tell the whole story. Farming ain't an easy, or inexpensive venture. I wish we got to know more. Other than that, loved watching this, and they have an amazing farm, and great and interesting video!
