You played the game. Right? Peter doesn't work at the Bugle anymore and his "side job" has nothing to do with taking pictures. Also, Jameson doesn't run the Bugle anymore in this game.

Honestly, return Peter's face to how it looked in the PS4 version! I don't think anyone complained about Peter's face in the original so why change it to look more like Tom Holland's?
I wouldn't mind if it looked like an older version of Tom Holland but this wasn't even the case, he still looks like a teenager here
Sony won't ever admit it but that is the most popular theory as to why they changed it, I can't wait for the mods to turn him back
Tbh, I don’t really care, both models are sound to me.
The old one was ugly. Peter isn’t supposed to be ugly. Plus Peter is only 23 in the game, so he should look really young. He’s pretty much still fresh out of high school. Only 5 years out of it. The new face also has better facial expressions, fits the suit better, fits the voice better, the hair looks better and more like what you would expect Peter’s hair to look like, and his eye brows are cleaned up. It just looks better overall. The only reason people want the old face back is because of nostalgia. It really wasn’t that good. I remember how disappointed I was with how ugly he looked when I first got the ps4 version

Peter's new face modal actually lacks facial expressions. He tends to smile alot where the original would have stressed and akward face. That is not present here.

I never put that together (I guess mainly cause I've only seen clips of the new Pete). Maybe that's why the new one feels so....robotic to me
He’s pretty fine in the cutscenes, but his default gameplay model has him smiling at all times which kinda bothers me
"The younger-looking Peter is here to stay." The problem with this change is that the Peter in this game is 24 years old. He has been Spider-Man for 8 years. He lives on his own, has finished college, and has his own job. This is not the teenage Peter from the comics that lived with Aunt May, went to high school, and worked freelance in his out-of-school hours to take pictures for the Bugle. The Peter model from the original PS4 game looked like this 24 year old. But the replacement model looks younger, and by *younger* I mean *so much younger*. There is no way this younger-looking Peter has finished college and has been Spidey for 8 years - maybe 8 weeks. There are scenes with the new Peter and Miles where they look the same age - and sometimes Miles looks older (and remember that Miles in this game is 15 years old). I'm half joking when I say this but the 24-year-old MJ looks like she might be charged with statutory rape for kissing this teenage-looking Peter. I don't like that they changed the model but I can accept that Insomniac *had* to do it for the technical reasons they gave. But the new *younger* looking model is a huge mistake for the character of Peter in this game. This new model doesn't look like he's 24, let alone past his teenage years.
I really liked the older model and its kinda annoying we have no say in this
New Peter face does look 24. Maybe you need to get outside more. A few guys I work with are his age or very close, and they have a "young face". Both are fine, but the new one fits Peter better imo.
@@Immortal-Dude If you think new-Peter looks 24 then you're right about one of us needing to get outside more but it's not me. 🤣 Seriously, new-Peter's face looks like a teenager, as young as (or younger than) Miles. If you showed an image of Peter with the new face to someone and said "Guess how old this person is" that person is going to say "They're a teenager" - no way they're going to say "They're mid-20s". Even if you set aside the de-aging of Peter's face, new-Peter doesn't look like someone that has lived 8 years as Spider-Man, someone that is an adult with adult problems. New-Peter looks like someone who's biggest problem is passing his driver's test and passing his grade 10 exams. The new-Peter face definitely does not fit the character in this game, who is an adult, not a child.
i think he does look 24 honestly, people age differently. also his body is not that of a teenager at all

After trying both controller and keyboard+mouse, I ended up preferring the latter because instead of pressing button combinations like LB+RB, LT+RT, Y+B, LS+RS I can press a single button Q, C, 2, 3. Just wish it had quickfire gadgets like Batman Arkham so I didn't have to open the gadget wheel.
the thing that makes the change for peters face so off-putting is you know when you watching a sictom and for the next season the recast a side character and it just doesn't sit right, well imagine redoing the whole show with a new character after you've watched the original, and on top of that this new peter looks like a teenager, spiderman is in his mid 20s in this...
Only feature I want added to Spiderman 2 is the option to choose which peter Parker to play as. They should include both to cater to the few fans that like the remastered peter as well as the original

For me the costumizable controls are awesome. QTEs and so are impossible due to my physical disability, but this game makes it possible to tweak all those things, so I can play it, and not on easy. There is still plenty of challenges for me, but I can eventually overcome them by retrying a few times. For example, I'm not rly good at sneaking, due to my uncontrollable arm movements I regularly have, but I'm at 47% atm and not yet stuck, so a great experience. 😜
The power of mods can restore Peter’s old face.
Psa, if you have a vr headset i recommend using it to display the desktop in there. I wouldn't necessarily play the entire game like that, but it was really cool to try. especially making the display bigger and swinging around.
That would be awesome for everyone without motion sickness!
I hope in the next game they add an advanced swinging mode like in Spider-Man 2 where you actually had to work at getting good at it

Can't you load the auto-save games that are done at checkpoints throughout the game, like in the PS4 game?

They can make any excuse that they want to but they changed the face because they wanted to capitalize on Tom Holland. Which is okay I get it but it's like the first version of Peter was perfect he looked his age. this just looks honestly weird. He looks 16 not in his mid to late twenties lol they talk about immersion but that's the part that's not immersive 🤣
As soon as I saw this Spider Man game on Steam, I immediately added it to my wishlist. Too bad it costs $60, but at least I'll know when it'll go on sale. For now though, I can still dive into Gotham City as Batman in the Arkham games. By the way, would you kindly make a video on Gotham Knights, which I also added to my wishlist on Steam.

Can we please have the original Peter face back? He looked like 20 something year old unlike the new face which makes him look sixteen, I will never get used to it. They can make whatever excuse they want, but the new face looks too much like Tom Holland and they were only trying to cash in on the recent success of his movies.

Feelsbadman, was looking forward to jacksepticeye gameplay on this pc version but he didn't play. He also didn't play last of us part 1 remake either, sad.

The new face would've looked better if they fully followed how Ben Jordan looks in real life. They got the face shape right, but they made him look far too young. Ben Jordan has wrinkles, stubbles, things that don't make him look like a baby. Give the new Peter some stubbles, ffs... I doubt someone with his messed up life schedule has the time to shave regularly.

Until they fix it because it was a dumb decision and most people can't get used to it because they talk about immersion but that's the least immersive thing about the game is that Peter is in his mid to late 20s but he looks 16. That's why it's an issue 🤷🏿♂️ is it a big issue? No it's not not at all. It's just off-putting I'm sure you can agree to that

Not specific to PC but i still hate Peter's new face
The PS4 Version is cool. But it's quality gives me headache. I had to wear PS5 glasses to play it. The Remastered one is fine because I didn't need the glasses. But I prefer the original Peter design.
They should add an option of the amount of flags and what flags you just want to stay in the game.Many people would like to assume that it is disgusting,crtizising,or even innapropriate but honestly it's just a video game,who's gonna know what flags you have and don't have,who watching your screen to see if you would have them in your game. hey,just saying its not that bad of an idea
Spider-Man is not set in a fictional city, it's set in New York. Sorry but New York has lots of flags around, including the gay pride flag. This is like saying that you want a Spider-Man game but don't want Peter to be a New Yorker.
Also, just letting anyone reading this comment know that XKASOz's original comment said that the game shouldn't include the gay pride flag, but they have obviously edited it to remove that. But yeah, their original comment was complaining about the gay pride flag being in the game.

Not trying to say the pride flags should not be in game and did not even state that it was a fictional city. Also, once I posted my original reply you obviously edited your comment to remove mentioning the pride flag. As far as it being "a fictional city", yes you didn't say that, but I pointed out that Spider-Man is set in New York City, an actual city which displays many flags, including the pride flag. My point was this was not a fictional city like many of the DC heroes live in (Metropolis, Gotham, etc) where they can make up their own rules about what is displayed there. The New York of Spidey's world reflects the real New York. It's not that difficult to understand what you meant by your original comment. It was abundantly clear what you meant by complaining about the pride flag. So it comes off as disingenuous for you to complain now. Everyone knew what you meant.
@@jhornacek One thing i've learned from the whole "flag controversy" is that, while some gamers who complain about the pride flags are probably just haters, there are some who have misinterpreted the flags' purpose within the game. This game wasn't the first open world Spider-Man game, but it was the first to depict NYC as realistic as you can get in a world where superheroes exist. See, in every previous open world game, the only flags were US flags, and most areas of the city looked bland and generic. These were not accurate depictions of what the city was like back in the 2000's and early 2010's when they were made. I guess what i'm trying to say is that some gamers see things like the different flags in this game and they assume it's propaganda because none of the older games had that stuff. But really, it was just Insomniac being accurate. I don't know what the OP really thinks, i just know there was no agenda behind the different flags we see in the game.

Would love to see faster swinging speed in the sequel, also fall damage. It's a stupid thing to complain about but I feel like jumping off the Chrysler Building and not being hurt at all pulled me out of the experience
Yeah but look at the batman Arkham games batman doesn’t take fall damage so why should spider man in his games?
This is a Peter who has been Spiderman for years now so him falling straight into the ground from a skyscraper and sustaining little to no damage is actually pretty accurate to his powers, had this been a rookie Spiderman then recieving fall damage would make more sense. Miles wasn't able to withstand a fall at first but after some adjusting to his powers and a bit of training he was able to handle it. Maybe there's a mod out there that'll enable fall damage or death for those who want it but personally I prefer the way it is.

I originally bought the ps4 pro to play spiderman, so I don't really like that they released it on PC.
At first I wasn’t on board with the new look but after being with it for a while I’ve started to like it.
The only reason iam not buying this is because of the face
