North Korean leaders enjoy some of the most luxurious items money has to offer, even after facing a number of international sanctions. These sanctions essentially prevent many countries from importing goods into North Korea. So how does North Korea obtain all these goods?   • Actually during the cold war it was much more easier. NK will send cargo jets to Easten European countries. NK agents will source goods from Western Europe and cross the Iron Curtain. Load the goods on the plane and fly them to NK.

    • Ais is an identification system about ships, it'll give you informations about ships name, location, destination, etc. Actually its forbidden to shut down by international laws. But ships which sailing to the embargoed countries like Iran and N. Korea, they forge documments like they went another country's port and shut down their AIS.

    • everyone knows they give North Korea pesticides, industrial equipment, electronics, food, etc but the reason no one cares too much is because you can argue those go to keeping people alive, everyone does military service but thats only because theyre forced to. civilians are civilians even if they are forced to bootlick. if u drove a Benz across the only bridge between them, that wouldn't look too good, that only benefits the general driving it. China has to save face, even when it's an open secret how they really act. in fact, having a positive public image is their main PR strategy

    • Why would anyone want to get a Rolls serviced when records say more than 800 luxury cars were procured by Kim in just 2 years (2015-17). He probably uses his cars for as long as they are usable and then scraps them.

  • Looks like the car manufacturer could build something into the car via satellite to control the operation. If the satellite is found and tampered with, it would render the vehicle useless.

  • In 90s we in Serbia had total UN sanctions..like even oil and medicine was banned for import..everything was sanction for us ..but still if you watch old videos from Belgrade motor shows in 90s it had almost all models on display like in Geneva. I remeber how my father bought gasoline,i went with him few times ..he would go to border with Bulgaria ,he would bring lot of empty canisters ..there was field where Bulgarians came ,some with cars ,tractors ,truck..anything..they would empty their reservoirs ,there were lot off buyers and sellers on that empty field..my father would buy enough for few months and then return

    • We were else unified against Serbia then against North Korea. I can support a little essential smuggling into Serbia the same way as Afghanistan since small smuggling doesn't defeat the purpose of the sanctioning

    • Not all that easy - custom built armored cars aren't available at a car dealership. You have to order them directly and car companies do a lot of due diligence before selling them as they don't want terrorists to get a hold of them and then figure out how to defeat them....

    • In iraq we have a lot of europian stolen super cars or cars that were under loan they take them outside eu or just steel them, how they get them if the car travels into any border after 3-4 months of incident it gets taken away from the owner and sent back to eu so the cars are stuck forever there are rare lambos without keys that are stuck and left to rot bcuz they cannnot get a key since it’s stolen
