Chris Paul aka CP3 is an NBA player so good at the point guard position, his peers have taken to calling him... the "Point God"
And yet, even with talents described as divine, somehow Chris Paul has wound up with one of the most controversial legacies of any modern day superstar.
5th all-time in steals...3rd all-time in assists...And yet, still we wonder...

    • It wasn't exactly vetoed. At the time the NBA was the owner of the Hornets so they went with the clippers offer because it was a better one. It was also a good move because it helped resurrect a franchise that had been irrelevant for decades

      @Ascended23@Ascended236 ай бұрын
    • @@sulten7290 Not true at all. There are plenty of above average looking players in bad-mediocre teams that are constantly being exposed and proven to be just stat-padders whenever they join an actual good team. There were also more than enough examples of stars/superstars joining good teams and not only not improving them at all but even making them worse. What CP3 has done with those LAC, OKC and PHX (his first year there) is historical and I doubt it even have been replicated. Eye test and every statistic that there is prove that CP3 ACTUALLY MADE EVERY SINGLE ONE OF HIS TEAMS BETTER. The only arguable one/possible exception was Rockets since they were already really good before he joined and there were no significant improvements in their playoffs run or players' performances (CP3 has a tendency of making average players, especially big men, to look like borderline stars but honestly he works well with everyone not just guards and that was super apparent in that OKC team mostly driven by guards.).

I also don’t think Bynum breaks out in 2012 if CP3 and Kobe play well and even if he did, people would say it’s a byproduct of playing with CP3. The only reason why the trade got executed was because Bynum played so well in that lockout season, so now you are trying to convince Philly to give up their franchise star in Iggy just to get in return a guy who might just be a lesser Chandler when playing behind both Kobe and Chris

  • Ok so people are saying he is a 'point god'. 5th all time steals, 3rd all time assists (awesome stats). But I guess these are the same people that are forgetting about Stockton. He is just a better version of cp3 if we're talking about 'pure point guards'

    @Cathcart47@Cathcart476 ай бұрын
    • Exactly. So many people disrespect Stockton just to try and prop up Cp3. I have chris paul as maybe 5th but 1 and 2 have to be magic and Stockton respectively

      @Jakeakatheone@Jakeakatheone6 ай бұрын
    • @@JakeakatheoneNo, it's because Stockton proved multiple times that he wasn't a playoff performer. At least with Paul he was just unlucky and injury prone. He didn't play worse - but Stockton, hame winner aside, has crumbled under pressure too much in the playoffs (even in series the jazz won), and that's why fans AND other players don't give him the same respect as players like Kidd. But you had to be there go understand. If we look at stats the man looks outstanding - every bit the PG Magic is. But we all know it's not true

    • Nope Stockton isn't half the scorer Chris Paul is. Stockton also never lead a team by himself.
