My opinion is : if no one be a doctor or an engineer or police officer or scientist etc etc....then I think it will be fard (religious duty) to be as doctors,engineers etc....cause who gonna take of the patients and the streets and buildings etc...and of course work for dawah too..and Allah(ﷻ) knows best.
But currently people become doctors and engineers for money and fame they forget almighty. How many professionals pray 5 times a day?

We need people to be scientists, doctors, engineers, and in every field of authorities, so that people will will look upto us. Just becoming a daayih is not enough. We need people in these fields to contribute to the progress of the world and have recognition and create a different image of islam than the west media has portrayed. We cant always be the backward community. This can only happen when we raise our kids with the main aim of servimg islam, so that they cant be distracted by the worldly gains. A good example is APJ Abdul Kalam. He was a rocket scientist, and no matter how much a person is anti muslim in india, they will always respect that man because he was a good muslim and contributed in making india a nuclear power.

We have to act what we preach. We have to get to authoritarian positions so that we can reach multiple people and the media wont be able to play with our image so easily. We have to remember that most of the dawah done by rasul allah was by his actions.

U can better answer it. Let me try a little😊. Concept of Worship in Islam is different from other religions. In Islam whatever one do if is according to Islamic rules and for the sake of Allah then that work or act is the worship. In fact your all life is worship if you spend it as per commandments of Allah. Whether you do the business or job, take care of your family and neighbors. Etc etc
