I worked at a marina all thru high school and college. Go fast guys were always the nicest and biggest tipper and I can’t count how many times they’d say hop in and they’d take you out for a half hour. Sail boaters on the other hand after they got their $30 in diesel and a pump out and no tip the big spenders would bitch about the go fast guy that just gave you a $50 and a 12pk

Why is is people feel the need to back into a parking spot regardless of whether its on land or water?
backing in when parking is simply just better, it puts the turning point of the vehicle further back making tight maneuvers easier. Same reason why forklifts have steering in the back.
