I have the Keepall 55 and I learned the hard way that it’s not practical for flights. But...... I love it for car trips! I use it every time we take a weekend getaway and I love it! It holds a ton! I found that when I am flying for short trips to visit family I just pack in a small cheap duffle bag. I don’t care if I have to shove it under the seat or in a small space in the overhead bin and it makes me pack smarter and not bring so much stuff! Great video and very informative.

Great to see you Tabby! Glad you are feeling more like yourself! This is a strange time, and I think everyone has been affected by it in some way. I understand that the Keepall 45s can get really heavy...I try to limit the type of items I am putting in mine and not filling it completely. While I do have the original strap, I purchased a wide cotton webbing strap to wear with mine as well...just for the sake of comfort! I know whoever purchases this bag will love and enjoy it for many years to come! Stay well and safe!!!💙💙💙
corikay thank you so much!!! It really is such a strange time!!! I’ve never felt what the original strap feels like. I’m assuming if you bought a different one, not as comfortable. ☺️ I really do like the look of the original strap!!! I think if I had it, I probably would just keep the Keepall for the look of it hahah. Also my hubby really likes the Keepall out of all my LV pieces.
Glad to hear you and the family have been doing well Tabby! I totally understand what you mean about the Keepall bags. I have a Keepall 55 Bandouliere and it does get heavy if I pack it up all the way. I've learned to pack it only halfway which includes toiletry & makeup bags, shoes, and clothes for a couple of days and nothing else. I never intended to travel by air with this bag due to the fact I wouldn't want to carry it while walking through endless airports. Also, the security factor you mentioned as well. I only use my Keepall for weekend getaways by car. I find that works much better because I do not need to wheel around a small suitcase if it is only a weekend getaway. Glad to see a video from you! These are surreal times for sure. I remember when you got this Keepall. I do understand the “targeted” feeling, but I still love my Keepall and mine is from 1985 and well loved. I’ll keep it and also buy a duffle, lol. I think Longchamps is great for travel and a rolly luggage too for ease of use. The LV travel pieces for sure have their pros and cons :)

I 100% agree! I’ve had the keepall 45 for two years now and in that time I’ve used it 3 times, and never on a plane. I love this bag but I also agree it feels really conspicuous and heavy, and I don’t think I travel often enough to justify it! Since getting my Longchamp Weekend bag I haven’t reached for the Keepall.

Really important video! Totally agree 💖 I've meaning to make an updated review of my vintage Keepall 45 as well! I prefer using it when I travel with my boyfriend by car. But for air or train travel (so more public transport), I find myself reaching for less flashy luggage! It def gets heavy fast! Your looks beautiful and in amazing condition despite its age! Wow ✨

I just bought a pretty used LV 55 for car trips. I wouldn’t take it on a plane though, I would take my 40 bandouliere though, that seems manageable. I LOVE your backpack, you’re cute and have good advice.

I have a vintage keepall 50B and I love it but yes she gets heavy fast! And I do feel self conscious when I carry it at the airport because of how flashy it is, I wouldn’t carry it alone/without my husband either probably. The 50 fits under the airline seat but it feels weird cramming it under the seat lol. Probably better for car trips but I rarely take those. I’ve been thinking of selling it but I really love her! Lol
I totally understand what you mean! I really loved my Keepall too, but I couldn't justify keeping it if I wasn't planning on using it anymore. Plus with it being such an attention grabber when traveling! Did you decide to keep or sell it yet?

Hi Thanka for this review but just wanted to ask if you’ve ever tried the speedy 40b? I have been on the hunt for the perfect travel bag and initially I thought totes were the way to go so I bought the LV Iena MM which is like a neverful With zips and pockets. I have used it a few times on flights and I have found it too small and tight for my things. The Iena is 13” at the bottom and 16” at the top, 10.5” height and 6.5 inches depth. I always carry a neck pillow or mini pillow and I’m Wondering whether it would fit in a speedy 35. I’m sure it would fit in a speedy 40. I am 5’6 in height and 65kg weight. Would love to hear your ideas.
Hi!!!! My mom has the Iena MM and loves it, but I see how it can be a bit small for travel. Unfortunately, I have never tried the speedy 40, but I imagine it would be great for travel. Let me know what you end up doing 💋❤️
O yeaaqaq.. I agree! I have the keepall world tour one.. so that's got a bunch of stickers on it. Let me tell you... it grabs attention even worse. It is so awkward how everyone stares at you when all I really wanna do is dump the bag off on someone else because it's so heavy!! I love attention at times but NOT LIKE THAT😅. I like to be low profile especially when I'm anxious for a flight. After that one time that was it. I have finally come to the decision that it is my local bag or road trip bag unfortunately. I love love love it so much.. I'll never get rid of it but it sees my closet more than any other travel pieces😔 I now use a rollie.. or away carry on and life got SOOOO much easier traveling like this, I wouldn't go back to using my keepall for airline or public travel unless I have body guards to protect me and carry my keepall 🤣🤣🤣🤣

Hey Brandy!!!!!! I’m so sorry for the delay in my response! I’m actually not familiar with the Chanel Leather keepall! But I usually always tend to choose Chanel over LV. I imagine it would be more subtle too, but probably heavier with all the leather. Definitely something to consider for sure! Did you end up deciding? 😘

Connie Chen Very good point!!! :) I sometimes carry luxury handbags when I travel, but I feel the Keepall is sooo huge and has the logo all is over it.. it catches more attention because of it’s size ❤️ Hope that makes sense 🥰

I agree with many of your points. I am too small to carry a keepall as a luggage while walking around a large airport. I have shoulder issues so I prefer a backpack or a bag that can slip on the handles of a rolling suitcase. For road trips we use my husbands keepall 55. It can hold both of our travel needs for 3 days of travel.

I had a vintage one as well in excellent condition and I knew the Cons as well and bought it nonetheless 😢 And then sold it in probably less than a year. So darn heavy just too much. I also felt conspicuous carrying it. That huge Keepall plus a LV handbag just can look a little over the top luxury 😂😆, so I get how you felt at the airport. Beautiful bag but not practical. Btw, I used Ozium Air sanitizer inside my bag to get rid of the musty smell in my vintage Keepall and it worked GREAT! Thanks for the video

I was going to buy the LV Packing Cube but they cost from $875 to $1275. Now I use Keepall45 as packing cube to put my socks, underwear. Which it looks good, lasting.

Do you think a keepall 50 would fit under a plane seat comfortably?
I believe the Keepall 55 is the biggest carry on bag for airplanes. When I put my Keepall 45 under my airplane seat, it is snug. I do believe you could fit the 50 under the plane, but it will fit very tightly. It also depends on how much you pack as the bag is durable and can smoosh smaller into spaces. Hope that helps!

My thoughts exactly! :) Even the LV backpack is a bit flash for travel. Yeah I wouldn’t feel safe, considering the countries I like to go is for cheap travel. Do you get many stares with the bosphore backpack and is it heavy? I acquired the GM montsouris for $250 usd from ebay japan but haven’t taken that puppy out lol.
I do think the BOSPHORE is flashy too! But for some odd reason, I don’t mind carrying it traveling when I’m around my husband. 😝 Maybe because it isn’t as big? 🤷🏻♀️ I love the Montsouris and have it in the pm size. ❤️

This has been helpful. I’ve got 2 Louis Vuitton bags which I love and wanted the keepall and suitcase but it’s the same feeling. I feel targeted and attention grabbing when I use them so it’s just a lot when I’m happy being under the raider so I’m just gonna stick to something more low key

Not really. The bigger the bag, the heavier it gets :). Also not this one in particular, but bags with more leather get heavier. I find Longchamp and Prada nylon bags tend to not get as heavy. Hope that makes sense
Tabby Violet i get where ur coming from but the 45 is i believe the smallest one. But i guess thats more of a personal opinion type thing anyways because 55 is actually too small for me and dont find it that heavy. But yes i agree with your statement about the nylon bags being easier to carry.

That bag is only good if you intend to move it about on a rolling bag. I have two that I used for years and just recently stopped using them because they’re so heavy to carry through an airport. I now have a rolling bag and use my Keepall for weekend car trips but even now. I used to feel so bad for my driver when he’d pick me up at the airport and carry by bag because it was so damn heavy 😭😭😭

I’m sorry to hear you don’t like your keepall anymore. You could always sell it and certainly get your money out of it. I think a keepall is a great item if used properly. I would never travel in an airport or sketchy area with luxury luggage or expensive jewelry. In my case, I rarely if ever travel by plane, (last time i was in a plane was 2010, 12 years ago). When I use luggage is when I travel 7-8 times a year by car to nice hotels/ resorts in nice areas for 1-2 nights each time. I’ve never had an issue or felt unsafe with nice jewelry, luxury bags or luggage in the places I travel to. If I were to get a keepall, I would carry it on top of my rolling luggage so it would look like a set. It’s also not as cumbersome that way. So for me, in my situation I think it would work out just fine. 😊

Biggest con is that you paid way too much for a plastic bag.

This bag can hold serious weight. (A regular plastic bag can’t) 20 something years old and it’s still holding up, so that speaks volumes. The canvas is really strong. The Movie 3 Kings with George Clooney... the LV keepall features in that and they use them to fill up with Gold bars.. and there was a write up in the Telegraph newspaper that these bags can hold serious weight & last many years. What other plastic bag can do that!
