In today’s episode of Figuring Out we have Ankur Warikoo in conversation with Raj Shamani. He is personally, one of my favourite creators and after this conversation, I became an even bigger fan of him. He is the founder of WebVeda, the best-selling author of Do Epic Shit, and a content creator. Till now you have known Ankur Warikoo as a content creator and teacher but today you will know Ankur Warikoo as a person.
In this episode, we started our conversation by talking about why India is a trust deficit country, why Mumbai is a professional capital of India and the power dynamics. He then shared the story of the phase when we had no income source during COVID-19, how he had only 5 months' worth of savings and how he planned to live in the mountains if nothing worked out, and how he then started a KZhead channel and hit 1 million subscribers within a year. We then talked about how Tata was successful in building trust, how anyone can start their personal branding journey and create content, and he shared some tips for the same.
Towards the end, we talked about his unique hiring process and he also shared why he claims that he is one of the top recruiters in India. We then talked about whether new financial guidelines have affected the way he makes finance content and whether it changed his content strategy. We ended our conversation by talking about why he is against hustle culture and the perspective he shared gave a new insight on hustle culture. It felt like Ankur was directly talking to me and saying what I wanted to hear the most!! But they too may have great wisdom and important point of views. This will help people to get other definitions of "success" which unfortunately today is defined as merely as "earning capacity" 😂😂😂😂 kya phodna chaheto bhai?

I got to know him more better. He is such a Gentleman who knows how to respect the other person. He is so polite and good during the conversation with every age group. I don't know much about his businesses much and how much he is earning right now, what are the courses he is selling that's useless according to some people ,but yes for me he is the good example of Being Good Human. His view is quite different from mine, and I think it may also differ from that of most people in their 20s. • Ratan Tata lives in a house which is comparatively modest (compared to other big industrialists) . Once saw him on road in a car worth 20L. Also Ratan Tata does not feature in Forbes billionaire list. Tata family is by far the biggest philanthropist in the world. One of the biggest reason there is blind trust in the name TATA.

  • From my perspective an important question to be asked on the topic " how can we do it faster " can be how can we develop patience so that even if it takes longer to achieve, we still persist in the game for the longer run. I wanted you to ask such a question from Ankur him being in that stage where he had been patient for so many years and still looks humble to go on for years. Great podcast enjoyed the conversation.
