    • News alert - C.C. has not won anything as yet. Yes, yes she shoots a lot of threes but her team LOST two important games during her college career. Furthermore she was SHUT down by a smaller point guard Raven Johnson during the second half of the championship game of 2024. As a coach, Christies Sides is definitely correct in her critic of the entire game and C.C.'s flaws and/or lack of distributing and failure of not getting others players involved.. The Indiana Fever has a very good and dominant post player, as in A. Boston. Distributing of the ball becomes highly important as other players are more involved, making your team difficult to beat. Simply put, the game of BASKETBALL is NOT A one man game, as testament to the outcome of between South Carolina vs Iowa and the previous lost Championship lost against LSU in 2023. Furthermore, one's job as a point guard, is to get others players involved, making one's team more difficult to beat.. If coach Christie Sides were to simply say nothing and do not try to teach C.C. then she would have failed, especially if the team continues to lose. I could only imagine, those same fans will continue to point fingers.

  • The negative comments by Sides are unacceptable. Sides has only been a head coach two years and she needs to give Caitlin time to be ready, given Caitlin is a rookie, instead of putting her out there and then talking about her negatively! The entire team looked like they were completely unorganized. Showing anger following preseason or in season games is unprofessional and disappointing. Sides needs to get her own act together.

  • It's baffling, to say the least. Why would anyone want to stifle the brilliance of a player like Caitlin Clark by forcing her into a cookie-cutter mold? Christie Sides, with her 24 years of coaching experience, should understand better than anyone the value of nurturing and embracing individual talent. Yet, her insistence on coaching Clark in a manner that dampens her unique style is not just counterproductive, but downright harmful to the growth and innovation of the game. The WNBA, like any professional sports league, thrives on diversity and individuality. It's what sets it apart and makes it so compelling to watch. Caitlin Clark represents the future of basketball, a beacon of hope for aspiring players everywhere who dare to dream differently. To confine her within the confines of a traditional playing style is to deny her-and the sport as a whole-the opportunity to evolve and reach new heights. Furthermore, publicly singling out a young player for criticism serves no constructive purpose. Coaching is a delicate balance of support, guidance, and constructive feedback, all aimed at helping players reach their full potential. Criticizing Clark in the public sphere only serves to undermine her confidence and detract from her development as a player. Instead, any critiques or adjustments should be made within the confines of a personal coaching setting, where they can be delivered with care and consideration for her growth as both an athlete and a person. In the end, it's time for a paradigm shift in the way they approach coaching in the WNBA. They need coaches who are willing to embrace innovation, celebrate individuality, and empower players to express themselves fully on the court. Caitlin Clark represents the vanguard of this new era-a player whose unique style has the power to revolutionize the game. Let's not hold her back, but rather, let's celebrate and support her as she blazes a trail for generations of players to come.

    • All the woman college players have to deal with that tho. And, she ain't the first great player that transitioned from college to pro. Nobody is perfect, and wnba basketball might be the 2nd hardest pro league in American sports. Every year players who dominate college get cut in training camp. Every year. It's 2 different games although they are the same sport. All the women in the WNBA can score points at Iowa but not everybody can play, in the WNBA.

Sides seems to want to plug a square peg into a round hole, but the fans are not interested in the status quo of that style of WNBA play. I had to laugh at the notion that Sides doesn't like Clark's shot selection, I wonder what she would say about Steph Curry? Sides also complained about Clark's conditioning because she got winded. Forget the fact she (Clark) just finished an entire season of college ball while the rest of the Fever were enjoying their offseason. So far, I haven't seen or heard anything from Sides that would make me think she has a clue how to use a player of Clark's caliber. If Sides wants to help her team and please the fans, she needs to build her offence around Clark's skills. Sides needs to adapt to Clark's game, if she wants to win and keep fans happy.

  • 1) Sides shouldn’t have conveyed so much about how she’s coaching Clark 2) Sides has to realize that Clark is why the Fever has such a large new fan base 3) Sides needs to be careful to let Clark do what she knows how to do. Logo 3’s/Deep 3’s is exciting for fans, puts points on the board, and are fuel to Clarke’s overall game 4) Clark fans need to cut Sides some slack.

  • she should be fired because she has a michael jordan like female talent who can turn around a struggling league, and has already made an impact, Someone with caitlyn's talent, you just gotta design plays around her and let her cook. similar to what prime is doing with sheduer. with sheduer's talent, you gotta let the guy do his thing and put the right players around him to get off.

    • She has come and literally sold out every fever game. Not even the back to back champs do that. CC has the power to say I want this coach gone or I’ll sit in the bench if she wanted. Now I don’t think she will cause I don’t think that’s who she is but she def already has that kind of pull I believe

  • We, the fans, want to see the long shots, why do you think she has this great fan following, just like Steph Curry. There are 3 defenders on her and she needs screens. Let’s get her OPEN so we can see the long 3’s she is capable of making, that’s what fans pay for, the excitement of a woman Steph Curry.

  • LBJ said Steph curry without the ball is dangerous coz he's gonna be running around and the ball finds him and shoots. This is what coach Sides is trying to explain.

  • The fact she made these comments to the press is proof she isn't a professional coach. She needs to go.
