Why do you go to the last box with the live wire first and then loop back?
@Zeamus63410 жыл бұрын
+Zeamus634 - This is called an intermediate circuit. So its like having a Light Switch Downstairs, a Light Switch on the Landing (Upstairs) and a Light Switch Half Way. He took the Live to the furthest point then looped back towards the Light. It wouldn't work in reverse if it looped in through the light first (straight from the CB) as it would be permanently illuminated.

MOG - it's a bit like watching paint dry! Just like my MSc - the whole 2 years could have been condensed into about 6 months... but with no time in the student bar, of course.

That looks like 20mm diameter conduit. 20 square mm equates to a diameter of just over 5mm.

There should be no neutral in the switch box.
@gyasikrasineb48089 жыл бұрын
+jason nebu - True - the Neutral should come directly back from the Light Rose to the Distribution Board?
@chriswhite56018 жыл бұрын
Why should there be no neutral, it may not need one but dosnt mean that you can’t have it at the switch

yikes! are you teaching them to cut pipe like that? Get a bench or a small vice to keep it still. How to cut your thumb off

In the real world this is exactly how it's done. Personally i use a plumbers plastic pipe slice. Takes about 1 second and it neat.
