  • I want to know how to grow those big bulbs, because we eat the bulb part more than the tops. I would have eaten the ones he planted..lol..those onions the size of softballs, or grapefruits.

    @denisecatlett7203@denisecatlett7203Ай бұрын
    • You got any giant trees, reeds, or thick barked vegetative growth near your home? The idea is to find a durable, easy to manipulate organic material. Start with a plant that is already living and use it for substrate. Any sort of logs with holes in it is a decent start

  • They are poisonous to rabbits and many other animals, please do not feed them with spring onions, chives or other types of onions, as this can be fatal. Otherwise, great video as always. Love it 🥰

    • So does that mean that the rabbits that are running around in my backyard are gonna die because they eat my chives they’re in the ground and they’re munching on them or do they refuse to munch on them? 2:49

      @holly5755@holly5755Ай бұрын
    • @@holly5755Some rabbits don't eat it at all, but there are always cases of poisoning of onion plants at our veterinary clinic, where bunnies have eaten too much of it and then die from it. It depends on the amount and size and weight of the animal how much the animal can tolerate before it becomes fatal. Some people think that only the tuber is poisonous and feed the greens. Unfortunately, it is the entire plant that is poisonous, including for cats, dogs and many other animals. We have them in our garden in very high pots or beds where they can't reach them. We also have 6 rabbits that run around freely in our fenced 200m2 garden and at night or when the weather is bad , they have a heated garage which is now a Rabbit hutch . The oldest is now 12 years old.

      @Godisincontrol325@Godisincontrol325Ай бұрын
    • @Godisincontrol325 the others are already 10 Years old. And the mother died already with 14 years. They can get really old when they are not raised in a cage or flat alone . But most die when they are 6 or 8 years old. I guess I am lucky as well. 😊
