Van Persie was 29 when we signed him Juan Mata wasn't aging when we signed him, he was 24 and Chelsea's POTY 2 years running he was worth that much but boy did LvG and Mourinho waste him out of position.
Strong Post...... Juan Mata was a starter & one of the bets players on Chelsea's 2012 European Championship team - Mata was born April 25, 1988...... January 2014 I was still so optimistic - "we finally replaced Scoles!!, I think?!.." I thought .
Agreed. Mata was wasted. Mourinho sold him to United then showed up to keep him down again. He almost did the same thing to Luke Shaw. But Mata was 25 when he signed with Man U.

Valencia was ridiculously underrated, Guardiola himself described him as " the best winger in the world" about a decade ago! Although, I wouldn't ho that far he was well on par with the quality of Tevez.
Then he played right back. Boss
@@robertrussell2202 it was 2013 when Valencia became a fixture predominantly at RB. In fairness why would Guardiola call a RB a winger?? Valencia was phenomenal on the wing until he broke his leg.

And yet, Red Start Belgrade deemed him as "not talented enough" for first squad 🤡

It's makes me proud and sad that Man U failed to replace Van Persie (🇳🇱) with Lukaku, Pogba, Zlatan, Di Maria, Alexis Sanchez, Cavani, Falcao, Martial, Memphis, Matic, Blind, Vd Beek, Sancho, Ronaldo and freaking Anthony, and basically none of the players above grew or benefited aside from the money they made.. sad to have seen the giant fall

Better late than never....
The Di Maria disrespect runs high in this. He was united's best player for the first half of the year. He came off of a career season where he was primarily playing CM for Madrid during their La Decima run, and was probably the second best player at the 2014 WC after Messi.
di maria is a disrespectful snake. and second best player after messi at WC 2014? messi wasnt even the best in argentina. he was absent throughout the majority of the knockout stage. mascheranos defensive work carried argentina to the final. in the final itself messi was the single worst player on the pitch. so if di maria wasnt as good as that...not a good argument to support di maria
@@Butterpants1987 you are crazy. He won the golden ball. He was ABOVE AND BEYOND THE BEST. You must me out if your mind. MASCHERANO was also brilliant too. Argentina played amazing that tournament

Messi wasn't the best player at that WC. Mueller was and Di Maria was better too.

What's crazy is I'm from Tampa and am a lifelong Bucs fan, and I became a Man U fan years ago partly because of the Glazer connection. Little did I know that I'd grow to absolutely despise what they've done to Man U, while begrudgingly appreciating what they've done for the Bucs.
Talk about self conflict
Glazers did better with the Tampa Bay Bucs than they did to Man Utd, i'd rather have Manchester United not under Glazer control
As a Man CIty fan I really want Man U back to their glory, so there is a 3-4 team fight for the title between City, Liverpool, Chelsea and United maybe even throw in Spurs and Arsenal. Great content as always keep it up

Jose Mourinho is a great Manager, but you're right, he needed a better defense. That was the only time United seemed to be a big club from the outside. Ed Woodward seems to have this arrogance that he's better at footballing decisions that people who actually know the game. If United had footballing people in high positions at the club then United would not have fallen so far.
Thank you. This team is about its history. And respecting and striving to live up to the standard of the busby babes and Fergie time. I been a united fan for over 2 decades. I just want my club to be respected. Fix the stadium and dont be city. Build from youth. And timely buys like bruno. And varane. Who we got phil jones instead cause we lost out on him in 2011. Now young players reject us to go elsewhere
fingers crossed bro
they on the rebuild tho
@Cy Benevento i agree. The glazers have ruined a lot of this club. But the history is still there. And if nothing else. Ole atleast has brought up Mason. That born and bread Manchester United means something to me. And im from ny. Even though the glazers have commercialized the hell out this club on the back of Sir Alex. It still holds pieces of what it is or was. They need to be out of debt. I was very proud we were debt free for so long. And fix the stadium. For god sake its Old Trafford. If we do those things and get out of managers way. Like they did for Fergie.....most of the time. Then we should be ok. I still believe in the tradition of this club. Through every young player that comes through. I hope glazers sell. But owning tampa bay with Sir Thomas Brady. Only helps them. Dam them to be honest. We so much more than marketing.
@@charleswidmore1071 I'm American honestly and I want the glazers out they suck so much. The first game I saw on tv was a Man U game with prime rooney, and I loved it, and the glazers, they're ruining the game. they decided to join a super league that was protested which resulted in rescheduling the Liverpool game at the worst time possible and killed United's title run. Plus they dont understand the game. I hope that there will be a new owner of the club who's willing to spend money to build a good team.
@@samhargett we spend money. A lit. But for all the wrong reasons. United love big sexy commercial signings. And not the rigbt signings. Besides so far. But take care if the stadium. Repair it. So it stops leaking. Those peoole in manchester deserve it. And they deserve to have tge club debt free.
Can't agree more with your presentation, though i think SAF had a hand in steering United the bad way after he retired. I think choosing Moyes was an odd decision, considering his penchant to thrive in a defensive and counter attacking team. He also had no experience in managing high-ego team. He likes underdogs and hard-working obedient players. It doesn't help United missed on Conte because SAF backed Ole a lot and we pretty much got him now. I personally think the CR7 return was a bit off also. You would unbalance the team using Ole's formation due to CR7 could not press anymore and he would be better off in teams like City that he could get all the service.
Just watched this for the first time, a few days passed since Liverpool whooped our assessment. The Mass Effect music in the background genuinely made me cry. I hope things will eventually get better. We need a hard reset, sell the deadwood from our time and start anew barebone with people that know how to build a team and spend money.

Excellent video. I'm a Liverpool fan. I don't know why someone hasn't bought out the current owners. I'm not an accountant, but United are one of the few genuinely giant club names in soccer, with enormous money earning capability. Even if the accounts aren't in the healthiest state, that potential to raise revenue surely makes United a prime candidate for a take-over.

To this day I still wonder if we would’ve won more trophies with the irish owners as apposed to the Americans
Yes
For full disclosure I'm a Manchester City supporter, but replacing SAF was always going to be a monumental task, not least of all because of the length of time he had been at the club and the fact that so much of its success at the time was down to the SAF "system" you just have to look at films like "Damn United" to see that dynamic in action and most people would agree that Clough was one of the best if not the best English manager of the second half of the 20th Cen. United's owners aren't great, but this was always going to be a time of transition and I don't really think any ownership group could have changed that.
