What BLUX meant is the After Hours album is too good not to listen to, most of us are still vibin to all of his songs e.g. After Hours, Nothing Compares, Faith, Alone Again, Too Late, Snowchild, Final Lullaby, etc. We can’t stop listening to all the songs inside the After Hours album yet. But the upcoming album, presumedly titled as “The Dawn” will make us treasure the After Hours album more because the story is more complete with The Dawn album - FYI, The Dawn album is the sequel to the After Hours album

An accurate depiction of the reality that is LA's setting, culture, lifestyle, and banality. As morbid as this video is, it is all but unnecessary. Many people need to know about how things are really ran there. Also I like how the video ended with the final shot of the mansion they were having a three-way in. It really shows that us people think these celebrities have it best because of their extravagant wealth and hedonist lifestyle, not knowing that all of our contrived ideals about being a celebrity is very much superficial. What a song, What an artist!

- Very correct, except say not LA, but rather Hollywood. These days those are two different things, and the city of Los Angeles is home to many regular people like you and me. It is Hollywood that is depicted in this video, not the city of LA

I honestly feel that this video has an extremely deep meaning... Abel depicts two LA girls ( as they are listening to Escape From LA) probably models who have just gotten there plastic surgery( which in my opinion means that they aren’t real they are an exact counterfeit of what they show). They just want Abel because of his popularity and looks. They don’t value his inner beauty. They behave as if they found and discovered Abel as shown in the MV he is found by them just lying on the road. They only need him to fulfil their needs and for their satisfaction. They want to change him and the way he projects himself permanently ( probably his appearance his HAIRSTYLE ig) which is shown when they fix his head to another person’s body. Plus I think as Halloween is just around the corner so he wanted the music video to be a bit dark and creepy. P.S.- This is my theory (from a fan’s perspective) so pls don’t judge. I agree this may not be what he wants to depict and there can be many theories.

It seems like the girls finding his face represents them meeting him at "face value". They are given nothing but the basic image (or face) of who he is and they find their ideal and fetishized version of who they want him to be and attach the image to the body. Somewhat represents fans creating a whole persona of who he is in their heads and just using that to pleasure themselves and get what they want out of him. However, this body they have stitched together is dead. It doesn't have a soul and that's how celebrities often say they feel like they are treated; like they're not human but rather some contrived ideal image that, to the public, is only there to serve as entertainment and nothing more.

we need an escape from LA music video to be the prequel for this video because in the beginning they’re already playing the outro to the song but we need to see how The Weeknd ended up in that position, maybe in his attempt to leave LA and what it represents he was killed because he simply cannot leave and is forever stuck there, “it’s way too late” for him to save his soul and we see the aftermath in this video.
