@@BuzzingFish, my Mother is no longer living. She and my Dad were married 73 years. She was 88, got sick suddenly with a blood infection and passed away. Dad was so lost, he gave up and passed away 7 months later, he was 89.They were the best parents. Mom had a rose bush, the roses were a mauve color, very unusual but that bush would have hundreds of roses on it every year for about 25 years. The rose bush died right after she passed. So again, thank you for making a beautiful lamp.

Hi, VERY BEAUTIFULL. Can you pls tell me which Led and dimm switch you use (it's not in your material list). And how do you pour the resin? Do you have a pressure pot? Is this resin really good? Or you do the misture more liquid and so the bubbles come our more easily? Thanks a lot.
I bought the led lights and switch wires from offline stores, so there is no material link. I have a vacuum pump that can eliminate air bubbles. I plan to buy a pressure pot. 😊

Beautiful. I have one question, when you showed us the completed piece, the rose petals looked like some of them had a white film, or something, on the outside of them. What caused this? Also, don't you find that turning there rose upside down in the resin traps air bubbles in it? Great video 👍
The petals have a waterpoofing layer on them, I think it's millions of minute hairs that water just skitters off. The resin won't make contact with the petals because of this layer, and so a very thin film of air will exist between the petals and the resin. This air void has a very different "refractive index" (amount light's bent when it enters it) to the resin. 1 for air, to something like 1.5 for resin (similar to glass). You can see this the way a straw looks "cut" when it's placed in a drink. Anyway, at glancing angles AND a big enough refractive index, you get "total internal refraction" - basically a mirror effect at glancing angles. This is exactly how "fibre optic" wires work to keep the light in. With the petals, it looks like a sheen of silver! The way to get rid of it? Some method of removing the waterproofing hairs... maybe some kind of gentle glue that can be pulled off each petal, or some liquid (I don't know of one) to dissolve them. Not human hair remover! They're keratin, not the same as petal hairs. You know it's worked without using resin - just drop water on a petal, if it skitters off like on a hot pan it's not worked. If the water spreads out on the petal - your technique has worked!
