Trends don't move that quick and if they do, you clearly don't even like the item of clothing, you just want it because it's trending that week. Soundbites like that are pretty tone deaf when you consider how so many football fans are struggling. I don't mind footballers enjoying their money and getting into high fashion but that comment made Wilf sound so deluded and spoilt.

    • I think footballers who play in the premier league and championship, they are famous all across the country, especially in their home county/city, so they have to have money for security and the fact that in their lives they will often be asked for photographs/autographs so are giving up a lot of freedom so deserve money for it. They also work hours that are not regular, and their main work day is Saturday/Sunday, they also have to stay in top shape physically/mentally for their job and have to earn most of their money during their 15 years or so playing, so them being paid a lot more than doctors/nurses is understandable to some extent. They will also have to pay for security for their family if they are very high level, such as in the top 6. Nevertheless I feel earning levels such as 13million pounds a year or so alongside other sponsorship deals is too much.

He obviously built a brand for himself with a solid clientele so a lot of other sourcers want to work for him due to how much work he generates. Rather than grinding and sourcing products himself, he has a team now. That's how business works.

Take Man U or Madrid, Fans barely pay for annual team travel, stadium, pitch upkeep, and half of corporate staff wages... the average football fan have zero business acumen. If they did they would know Fans are responsible for less than 10% of total wage bill of the average prem team..

    • @@kingsweattv2465 valid point and one I was thinking to myself whilst reading Smits comment but I didn't write it because you could argue, the fans are at the heart of all the money in football. Where does the TV money come from? The fans paying Sky/BT sport etc to watch the sport, so it's less direct but it's still coming from the fans in a way. But you are right it's not like the old days where ticket revenue was the main source of income for a club, back then it was almost like the money was coming from your pocket right into the players.

This dude doesn’t really do anything other than phone other people. However, he’s solving a problem for materialistic footballers with more money than sense. It’s scale-able because footballers will share through social media and personal interaction and he’s gaining knowledge of brands and who to contact to source this stuff. However don’t believe it’s all as good as it looks. Nothing to say he didn’t happen to just meet Messi and grab a photo with him. Zaha is probably his level.

  • To put it into perspective guys. You have the money for something... anything actually cause you’re rich. You don’t know though where to get certain stuff as some might be rare some might be only exclusive to parts of the world... you have football training. Games. Interviews. Sponsor shoots. All these responsibilities. Kids maybe? You don’t have time to sit down and search the whole world for a thing so what do you do? Call a dude who has the hook up. Or in america as they might call him “the plug” and yea... this guy is simply the plug.
