  • As much as he may not have been the right fit, 2nd and 3rd for Man United is not bad for a guy who managed Molde. Pochettino can't even get a billion pound squad to those heights and people would say he's better. Ole is only showcasing the life of a modern manger in a big club, ronaldos interview when we look back on it is gospel, now that mouriniho and ole have both come out and talk about the environment of man united. People want insight and here you've got it and are complaining what you're hearing. "The players are extension of the manager". These players were a compliation and reflections of numerous mangers. The ones he brought in were for the next step. I feel if you have mental problems and you sign a contract to be part of the most pressurising job their is, I have to question if you really are OK. City have the pressure, liverpool have the pressure. If youre struggling with mentality you shouldnt be there. You should remove yourself from the environments that drain you mentally and go seek the help needed. If you cant hack being at united, dont play for them, get out. Ole has every right to talk about this.

That entire 'stick to football' podcast was a great watch tbf and was full of interesting stuff especially finding out Ole was trying to get utd to buy Haaland way back when he was managing in Norway. As a utd fan I gained huge respect for Ole for bringing some genuine hope back into the team after the depression that came before. I understood he needed to leave but as we can all see now it wasn't Ole's fault, it is and always will be the glazers fault. • The level of disrespect these pundits show Solskjaer is really strange. For many United fans Ole's 3 years were some of the happiest times post Fergie. I still believe he'll be a top manager in the future and should have been given more time. He achieved more in football than that idiot Jordan anyway

The press ask really dumb questions- witness Pep’s pre match and post match press conferences!!! Simon needs to lay off Solksjaer- I watched his comments and found him open, honest and likeable. The question of him being the right person to manage U tied is a separate issue.

Jose understood the difficulties and did his best but poor old Ole is too nice a guy for that job. They need someone at the helm who is ruthless. They need a big clear out and to invest in players with the right attitude.

  • If you (Talksport) are going to comment on a particular subject I really think you should invest the time watching or listening to the entire subject matter. The podcast was 90 minutes long and a decent chunk of that was spent discussing Ole's time managing United where he openly said he'd do many things differently. The number of times I hear a host saying "I watched the highlights" or "I saw a clip/video". If you haven't got the time to watch the whole thing on which to base an informed opinion then it shouldn't be included in the show as a talking point. I love the channel and in particular the White & Jordan show but this really irritates me when I'm listening to any of your shows.

Not great PR Talksport.....surely you can do better than a 'Sun-type clickbait tag-line'. Shame on whoever preps these pages. Ole is a lovely chap and always had the best intentions in mind, Simon needs to leave him alone.

  • Simon's wrong about the culture of the club being cultivated under Ole. It was during Mourinho's reign that it took hold, and the reason for that was Mourinho's lack of dedication to the job which the players took full advantage of towards the end. Ole came in and got them playing counter-attacking (but effective) football in his first season, but he was far too much of a "nice guy" to change anything and he suffered the same fate as every other manager inevitably had. Simon won't say that though, because he likes Mourinho.

He wouldn't be caught dead defending this kind of player conduct if the person complaining about wasn't Ole, someone we know Simon doesn't like.
