Every time I see Haru I get teary eyed. She reminds me so much of my sweet lab mix Ella. We had a close relationship that I’ve never had with any of my other dogs. Instead of trust falls she loved to ride in the front seat of the car hanging half way out smiling and spreading joy. Before you criticize me on safety she was seatbelted in AND I would hold her with my right hand-even when we were stopped. People would drive by, smile, laugh, wave and videotape her. It is so funny: They are so different from anything I am used to in a dog. But your complete acceptance and tender care has caused me to see them through your eyes, and more importantly, through your hearts. They are cuddly velcro potatoes with fur and clutchable fuzzy ears. They are like young children that wish to be near. They are so gentle! And loyal! It is heartwarming to see your family, with such creative genius and wholesome warmth, where the simple things are memorable.
