Duong's Go to the old forest trap Rare birds to raise. A lucky day!

2024 ж. 21 Сәу.
123 326 Рет қаралды

To enrich the farm's variety of animals, today I went to the forest to trap birds. Go to an old forest, and find a suitable location to set the trap. With just a long rope and trees in the forest, I trapped two rare birds. The results were more than my expectations. I really like raising animals in the forest to tame them in the most natural way. Do you know the names of the two birds I trapped? Please leave a comment to let me know... Thank you very much.

  • Duong, you really should make an area for making compost. I know it will take time for it to rot into good soil, but you plan to live on the farm forever. Make a small fence like you have for the banana trees, and then fill it with all your waste. Leaves and plants, Ashes from the fire, Animal faeces, Bones and egg shells. Once it is full, cover it with palm leaves and then wait for a year. It should have made a rich fertiliser that will produce good vegetables. I used to do this at my home as a child, and we did not have a bad harvest for 15 years.

  • Saw this tidbit online hope it helps a little: Not much is known of the golden pheasant’s behavior in the wild. Despite the male’s flashy coloring, these birds are difficult to spot in the dense, dark conifer forests they inhabit. They forage on the ground for seeds, berries, grubs, leaves and tender shoots, while roosting high in the trees at night. They are clumsy fliers, preferring to run. Males make a series of calls during the mating season and show off their vibrant plumage. After mating, the female constructs a nest on the ground surrounded by dense vegetation and digs a shallow depression which she lines with plant material. She lays a clutch of five to twelve eggs in April and keeps them incubated for 22 to 23 days.

    • That's a very tough request, do you even know how hard it is to make these kind of videos, excluding all the work he does that we see in them. Only the editing takes hours for a half hour video. Then you have to add all the subtitles as well. Probably takes most part of a day to just edit the video. So think twice before requesting such stuff, even if we all need to see them both play around and work in the forest. It is very hard to make these videos as well. Requesting one everyday is like not even nice to do I would think.

  • Red Golden Pheasants or Chinese Pheasants are beautiful birds. About 15 yrs ago, i had adopted three pheasant chicks from another farmer close by. He was moving and I adopted about twenty chicks total. Seventeen were red chickens. Three looked different, were very thin, so i had them seperate in their own pen, so they could eat better. They hid in the coop most of the time. It wasn't until a few weeks went by i saw the gorgeous colored feathers come out, two were males, and one a female. I had to ask around what they were? After I found out, I couldn't understand where they came from??? I couldnt ask the farmer that gave them to me, because he'd moved away. They aren't a native bird to my state, as far as I know. So I found them a new home as quickly as I could, with people that could better care for exotic birds. I do believe this type of bird shouldn't be taken from its natural habitat, but i do realize some people love to eat pheasants - including this kind. Anyway, I enjoyed their beauty and unusual calls, until they went to their new home. Absolutely gorgeous birds!

    • And,what if the bird has a nest somewhere, a partner waiting? Pigs, chickens do not suffer from living on the farm, on the contrary, they are probably doing great. But birds? They are used to flying freely, should they then live in a small cage for the rest of their lives..? 😔

    • No, I strongly disagree. Duong is a MASTER at harmoniously living with the nature and this is the point of him making videos and us watching. We, I, want to see everything there is; Everything that Duong can do... Collect as many animals Duong ! Have a big beautiful farm ! Some animals will be for food, but a lot of animals such as these birds can be used by taking several feathers and expanding on the cultural growth of your farm/("civilization"), by making ornaments, decorations, maybe special arrows etc.
