I’ve been into WW2 quit a bit ever since I was a little kid and they did an amazing job on graphics and cut scenes, but I just wish they would be a more accurate with the history behind it and all the small things too. They didn’t have fires because they didn’t want to give away their position and get a artillery barrage on top them just small stuff like that I wish they would have paid more attention too. It has a lot of potential for sure honestly.

Historical inaccuracies aside, Pierson is by far the worst character. He wouldn't be so bad if he had ANY redeeming qualities. He exists just to be an asshole. The explanation as to why Pierson is such an ass doesn't make him any less hate-able. He finally becomes decent after a drunken fight with Red. That's it. There is no development. And the squad mates are beyond forgettable. They're watered down iterations of the squad from Call of Duty 2 Big Red One.

I still believe this could have been a phenomenal COD game if it was written by people who didn't just watch a bunch of WW2 movies and use every cliche in the book and nothing else, and it was a longer campaign with another story arc in a different theater like how the old COD WW2 games had it where you were jumping all over the place. At lot of the battle of the bulge focuses almost exclusively on the 101st airborne trapped in the middle. A lot of the combat going on during that time related to the 101st was forest combat. Troops hiding in trenches of fox holes simply waiting for the overwhelming amount of Germans coming their way. It sucks but the Battle of the Bulge is often characterized but the actions and combat of few while the rest of the combat is often overlooked

He then was moved to the eastern front in Czechoslovakia, where he got captured by Soviet forces and thrown into a prisoner of war camp. He "celebrated" his 19th birthday there and got released after a year when the war was over. I never met him since he died in '76 from leukemia. But since my dad is the best human being i ever met, he mustve been a great man and a loving father. I hope ill see him in heaven and finally get to meet him. @@capitaldcolon1795 ah yes, it wouldn't be a WW2 video without nazi apologist. The clean wehrmacht myth I can understand but a clean SS? Really? to quote wikipedia Murder of civilians in Yugoslavia During the invasion of Yugoslavia in April 1941, members of Das Reich committed crimes against the civilian population as well as Yugoslav prisoners of war in the area of Alibunar (Vojvodina, Serbia) where an estimated 200 people were murdered. 51 corpses were found in a mass grave in Alibunar's Serbian Orthodox Church's yard, as well as 54 others in the nearby settlement of Selište. The crimes were committed as a retaliation for the involvement of armed civilians during the fighting in the area and the murder of the regimental adjutant.[37] Murder of Jews in MinskEdit A support unit of the Das Reich division aided an SS extermination group in the slaughter of 920 Jews near Minsk in September 1941. [38] Tulle massacreEdit Main article: Tulle massacre After the Allied second front opened on 6 June 1944, all resistance groups joined "into the uprising". Part of Das Reich was ordered to attack strongholds of the rural guerrilla bands of French Resistance fighters as it moved to Normandy.[39] After a successful FTP offensive on 7 and 8 June 1944, Das Reich was ordered to the Tulle-Limoges area.[40] The arrival of Das Reich troops "rescued the beleaguered" army troops and ended the fighting in the city of Tulle.[40] On 9 June, in reprisal for the German losses, the SS hanged 99 men from the town and another 149 were deported back to Germany.[40] Oradour-sur-GlaneEdit Further information: Oradour-sur-Glane The division massacred 642 French civilians in the village of Oradour-sur-Glane on 10 June 1944 in the Limousin region. SS-Sturmbannführer Adolf Diekmann, commander of the I Battalion, 4th SS Panzergrenadier Regiment (Der Führer) that committed the massacre, claimed that it was a just retaliation due to partisan activity in nearby Tulle and the kidnapping of Sturmbannführer Helmut Kämpfe, commander of the III Battalion, although the German authorities had already executed ninety-nine people in the Tulle massacre, following the killing of some forty German soldiers in Tulle by the Maquis resistance movement. On 10 June, Diekmann's battalion sealed off Oradour-sur-Glane, and ordered all the townspeople to assemble in the village square, ostensibly to have their identity papers examined. All the women and children were locked in the church. The men were led to six barns and sheds. One of the six survivors of the massacre, Robert Hebras, described the killings as a deliberate act of mass murder. In 2013, he told the U.K. newspaper The Mirror that the SS intentionally burned men, women, and children after locking them in the church and spraying it with machine gun fire: It was simply an execution. There were a handful of Nazis in front of us, in their uniforms. They just raised their machine guns and started firing across us, at our legs to stop us getting out. They were strafing, not aiming. Men in front of me just started falling. I got caught by several bullets, but I survived because those in front of me got the full impact. I was so lucky. Four of us in the barn managed to get away because we remained completely still under piles of bodies. One man tried to get away before they had gone - he was shot dead. The SS were walking around and shooting anything that moved. They poured petrol on bodies and then set them alight."[41] Marcel Darthout's experience was similar. His testimony appears in historian Sara Farmer's 2000 book Martyred Village: Commemorating the 1944 Massacre at Oradour-sur-Glane:[42] We felt the bullets, which brought me down. I dove... everyone was on top of me. And they were still firing. And there was shouting. And crying. I had a friend who was lying on top of me and who was moaning. And then it was over. No more shots. And they came at us, stepping on us. And with a rifle they finished us off. They finished off my friend who was on top of me. I felt it when he died. Darthout and Hebras' eyewitness testimony was corroborated by other survivors of the massacre. One other survivor, Roger Godfrin, escaped from the school for refugees despite being shot at by SS soldiers. Only one woman, Marguerite Rouffanche, survived from the church. She later testified that at about five in the afternoon, two German soldiers placed a crate of explosives on the altar and attached a fuse to it. She and another women and her baby hid behind the sacristy; after the explosion they climbed on a stool and jumped out of a window three meters from the ground. A burst of machine gun fire hit all of them, but Rouffanche was able to crawl into the presbytery garden. The woman and infant were killed.[42] Diekmann was later killed in the battle of Normandy in 1944. On 12 January 1953, a military tribunal in Bordeaux, heard the case against the surviving sixty-five of the approximately two hundred SS soldiers who had been involved. Only twenty-one of them were present. Seven of them were Germans, but fourteen were Alsatians, (French nationals of Germanic culture). On 11 February, twenty defendants were found guilty, but were released after only a few months for lack of evidence. In December 2011 German police raided the homes of six former members of the division, all aged 85 or 86, to determine exactly what role the men had played that day.[43] SS-Brigadeführer Heinz Lammerding, who had given the orders for retaliation against the Resistance, died in 1971, following a successful business career in West Germany. The French government never obtained his extradition from the German authorities.[44]

I wish there were M36 Slugger Tank Destroyers were in this level... as the M36 Slugger is my favorite ww2 tank destroyer... Reliable an Simple design, good mobility as it could achieve 30mph speed an it had a 90mm Gun which was a very powerful Gun. Could rip into the German tanks real well... an they first arrived in Europe in September an 1st saw combat in October. An by December 25th, the Battle of the Bulge, their were several hundred M36's in Europe... and with the American an British Airforces an Artillery Superiority, M36 Slugger's had a higher survivability Rate then German tanks... the other tank Destroyers we an the British had were great too. Like the Sherman Firefly. But the M36 Slugger had a higher millimeter gun an better speed. Sherman Firefly jus had a 25 to 26 MPH speed... also the Battle of the Bulge is 1 of my Favorites. Really shows how truly powerful an well trained the American Military is. Yeah the germans were winning in the beginning of this fight but jus cause they caught us by surprise. After that, when we set up defenses an counter attacked an had support from the British an the others who were in the battle, we knocked the germans back real damn good. An of course our 2 excellent joint airforces when the weather cleared up was really crucial in screwing up the germans...

They most certainly did have fires in the Ardennes...you don't know what you're talking about.
I was about 9 in 2012 when I met 1940 and I was still in primary by then. I’m 21 now and 1940 I’d still at my side 11 years on
@@nicolelawless9942tf you talking about
I truly feel like the developers did literally no research when making this game.
They were, especially in this scene where on the Battle of the Bulge the Allied air force were grounded because of the bad weather. So those P-47 was coming straight from the Developer's wet dreams.
The fucking Lee enfields... oh my..
This is probably the worst world war 2 game ever created.
7:47 This exchange, however, I find kind of funny. An eye-tie, a Jew, and a [N word] argue with each other over cooperating with each other because of race while an enemy that sees them all as lesser wants them all dead.
The cutscenes were great in this game honestly.
A really good game also
better than vanguard in my opinion
It would work
I still believe this could have been a phenomenal COD game if it was written by people who didn't just watch a bunch of WW2 movies and use every cliche in the book and nothing else, and it was a longer campaign with another story arc in a different theater like how the old COD WW2 games had it where you were jumping all over the place. And didn't give in to PC culture with all that nonsense.
True, and without that annoying scripted events.

I kinda realise that COD's impression of the Battle of the Buldge is always the Americans able to hold the line from a thousand Germans. Reality is often disappointing.
media doesn't portray something close to the truth? imagine my shock
I’m sure the Americans actually had to fall back but the Germans were eventually held off. Kind of common sense.
@@Infamouschef_ yes, that would be for later parts. There are were quite a large number of US POWs during the Battle of the Buldge since they were unprepared for the surpirse attack.
Just to add a little more context, The battle of the 101st Airborne is known as the Siege of Bastogne. The numbers while shaky are estimated to be about 11k Americans fighting against 54k Germans with causalities mostly being unknown
During the battle, if you look closely, you can see Captain Ronald Speirs carrying his Tommy and Balls of Steel past a tiger tank.

Also also Das Reich was a volunteer division. So none of that conscription bullcrap.

6:21 US Soldier: INCOMINNNNNNNG
Did they use the same “Incoming” line that was used by Lipton in band of brothers?? Sounded similar to me but I could be wrong.
I completed this game many times on all levels “I’m the veteran 😎”
Krauts: This is cold? You should see how we've been through in Stalingrad. Red Army: Let's win in the winter!!
6:24 US Soldier: MOVE YOUR ASS
in the dogfight I'm a little disappointed the destroyed planes just explode instead of spiraling towards the ground like they should when they're shot down usually
The enemies in this game are just big bullet sponges in German uniforms. They take more bullets than in the earliest Call of Duty games. You know, before locational damage modifiers were the norm? Then over in multiplayer you can get hit by a pebble and your head explodes.
I may be late to this party but I want to say that the inclusion of Howard is spot on for the developers. Because I think Howard is part of the “5th platoons” which are mostly made up of black soldiers assigned to all white rifle companies. The units that employ these platoons are the 1st, 26th and 99th Infantry Divisions and the 12th and 14th Armored Divisions (but instead of platoons, the Armored Divisions used companies). Two medals of honors were given to the men of these units. Sgt Edward Carter Jr and a soldier from the 26th Division
The British 30 corps helped stem the German advance but there hardly ever mentioned.
these poor guys thank GOD we had man with big balls
Howard has a British accent? 😐 Oh and, Stealth missions: *exist* This guy: *haha gun go loud Brrrrrr*
I guess stealth is optional
Thats not a british accent
23:15 The Tank Is Just Looking At Daniels Saying GoodBye
Like those funny videos about BF1 tanks saying no, yo avoid getting killed or saying that they are not going to shoot xd

American using a Lee Enfield. Fighters carrying bombs escorting B-17’s ????? Apparently the devs aren’t going for historical accuracy 🤦♂️
3:59 Ah yes. The famous British Lee Enfield rifle lend lease to the Americans. So famous that it actually went over the fame cap and reverted back to the negatives. As if it never actually happened.
I find it weird since they already have Springfield rifles
You should know irl, that M1917 Enfield exists...
@@v12ts.gaming Yes. But this one is clearly the SMLE. Not the American Enfield.
@@walnzell9328 who knows it has extended mags that can hold 10 .30-06's After all, CODWWII was known by its inaccuracies in terms of weapons.
@@v12ts.gaming It's called the Lee Enfield. Right there in the lower right hand corner when Red pulls it up.
Hell of a game ❤️
I love and hate at the sametime by watching gameplays in youtube because I have a crap pc and terrible wifi
An of course our 2 excellent joint airforces when the weather cleared up was really crucial in screwing up the germans...
spoken like a true AmericanXD
This battle was the most underrated battle in WWII
Nahh alot of people talk about this battle
Daamm that dead body mashed into pieces by those tanks 😅
Anyone notice the Saving Private Ryan reference?
I don't think there is.
@Nathan Fabonan there is one. When Daniels is carrying the ammo box, you can just barely hear a soldier saying something like "Put me within a mile of a Mr. Hitler, war's over gents. We go home."
8:46, I saw that .... I saw that ..... cheeky shot .......
28:17 you just ignored that guy shouting for help
**fires at Tiger** YEAH! **gets fired** SHIT!
I really don’t think the germans had anywhere near that amount of fighter planes and jets at this time in the war. lol.
That truck was fast AF
This game is a masterpiece compared to Vanguard.I want my money back!
So this is what my CoH 2 Ardennes campaign looks like in 1st person view.
25:00 this boy just wanted some water peirson WHY!
hey man, he had plans that were necessary
Pierson is just one of those edgy guys of CoD. I mean, he carries a Thompson with a drum mag.
23:42 question for you cpl. how long has pierson been out of his god damn mind XD
Graphics getting more and more movie quality.
This is a good game, history innacurate but good so 10/10 gameplay,10/10 story but 5/10 acurracy but its a videogame and as long as i enjoy it imma play it
Story gets an 8/10 for me. They didn't explore the holocaust as much as promised. Also, the missions with the french resistance are just...painfully few. I would've loved to have seen the fall of paris, having to evade german patrols and fighting in guerrilla warfare. The attack on St Lo was a massive missed opportunity here. It would've looked amazing here, Operation Market Garden is relegated to MP, sadly and for whatever reason, the Kasserine Pass is alluded to but not playable (THAT would've been killer)
i agree heavily with st lo but its a shame they did the 1st division so it entirely inaccurate it they did
Some moments of this campaign were really good, and the cutscenes were amazing you gotta give em that. I hated the ending though
Why?
@@enanny0616 1: The commandant gets no character development, he's 1 dimensional 2: Daniels is a flat character and i mean FLAT. 3: Why should we care? Whoever wrote the characters did a crap job. 4. Everything is wrapped in a bow as if the racism and brutality never happened. Again, why should I give a $h!t?
Wow 🔥👍
You shooted your team's bomber!
World at war modern warfare 3 and modern warfare 2 and this game have the best campaign
And I thought they wanted light discipline so that the Germans cant spot their position and shell the hell out of them.
I get irritated by how he just don't refill his ammo when there's ammo stash, and keeping pistol when there are svt 40s and sub machineguns everywhere but still it's a good game footage
Turner was a good soldier and now he’s gone
11:32 eyo man poor B-17 you killed
Kinda wanna see Amon Göth at the Battle of the Buldge since it was right around when he departed Kraków. Imagine a Ralph Finnes looking guy, hightailing it down a battlefield killing soldiers. As if he hadn’t already killed enough people
Kid: what are you watching me: uh
Double eye lids, George!
The starting scene really made me sad😢😢😢😭😭
Great game !!! 👍
I am sure you are not supposed to be drunk while in combat
tell that to the demoman from TF2
@@farahahmedkarim377 lmao
@@f-35enjoyer59 damn, i actually forgot about him
A lot of the Soviet soldiers fought drunk
If only they reported Pierson to Ronald Speirs.
how slow that 1919 shot killed me bruh
5:37 that line is gold.
Shut up
Why there's no subtitle?
in the begin guy running and shutting around another just look i dont move... funny
