My beloved stepfather and I discussed the afterlife a lot as he became more ill. He didn't quite buy into it (very Catholic, didn't think he was good enough, etc.). He was very stuck on "who" he should go to first when he crossed: his first wife or my mother, both of whom had passed. He was really, REALLY fixated on this because he loved them both. I meditated upon it and saw that each of them would take his hand to help him cross peacefully. When I told him, he visibly relaxed and was gone within 12 hrs. Such a powerful moment for me. Plus, I heard him in my head, laugh and say, "That was easy!"

I just love you, Maryanne. So good that you were able to help the whaler find the Light. And good reading on SCOTUS. It is so sad to see how corrupt some of the justices have become. As an American, it hurts my heart to see the Court so tarnished. I hope the voters do turn things around and then we can work on cleaning up the Court, among many other things!
