    • Sparkling water has been a godsend for me with cutting back on soda. A lot of people think it tastes bitter or "like drinking TV static" and I was once a part of that crowd, but it's because of our taste buds being used to the strong flavors of soda and craving sugar. It didn't take very long of making myself drink it before I started to acquire a taste for it and now regular soda tastes way too strong and syrupy to me. Some brands are better than others too, Waterloo is by far my favorite. I even got my sister on sparkling water the same way I did and she drank A LOT of soda prior. I think almost anyone can aquire a taste for healthy alternatives like these if you have will power and give yourself enough time!

  • I'm from Europe and we are shocked about the stuff the US people eat, and how uneducated they are when it comes to food. The prime example is Bread, why does the US Bread contain sugar? The same accounts for ready meals, or semi ready meals like pre made sauces. We don't need experts in Europe to tell us how bad sugar is, everyone knows it and we grow up with it and learn to check packages for sugar content and how to calculate it.

    • I used to live there, i thought everything in the US is better than home, until i spent 10 years living and working there, the US is a prime example of extreme capitalism where these kind of companies allowed to become to big essentially its own entity, they have so much power to even skew science studies like mentioned in this video. For example, to find a local family owned bakery that serves a plain simple bread is near impossible in some cities it’s wild an sad at the same time, Americans are some of the nicest people I’ve ever met in my life, and knowing that their government basically treating them like a commodity to keep the capitalist economy running is heartbreaking. It’s chain reaction in their industry which will throw you from one evil corp to another even healthcare.

Even when I get home finally drink some soda it slowly starts to go away & it's actually pathetic really cause as much as I would love to stop or cut back on sodas there's always that voice & me that tells me "no you don't you'll get sick" & nobody should have to feel like that because of SODA & trust me I've tried alternative drinks nothing helps it hard to be a dark soda either Pepsi or coke that's it I don't really care for any other soda I don't even like light sodas ..🤷🏻‍♀️ people try telling me "oh you need caffeine drink some coffee or something"🤦🏻‍♀️ it's 1000000% NOT the same nothing else with help until I finally drink a soda 😔 It's all confusing & irritating & I can't stand it anymore I don't want to be like this at all & I have definitely been working on it little by little I don't want to live a short life because I have become addicted to sodas ..... If you ate real whole foods a majority of the time but had some mcdonalds or a soda every now and then it would make no changes to your health. Its when ppl drink soda and eat mcdonalds day in day out that makes it horrible.

    • Depending on what a considerable workout is and its purpose. If your workout is to burn calories, I wouldn't put 140 calories (1 can) back in. If your workout is weight training you're most likely barely burning more than 140 calories. If you for some reason need to replenish your blood glucose levels asap post workout then soda is your least good option. I've stayed clear of sodas and other beverages for 25 years. They're basically bottling what you breath out plus sugar and making their real money on your health insurance and medication costs.
